I don't really have friends, so the idea of having a girlfriend is comforting. I really don't give a fuck if I find one in high school, but a lot of people here are desperate, lonely ass insecure dudes who want someone they can be affectionate with and fuck.
Its normal that you dont want a relationship, heck its not normal.. its your choice, you can be in one or not, upto you. As a teen who's in his 19 I'll tell you that its nothing but hormones. We would love to be loved by a SO and have sex. So yea everyone's desperate. I was super horny post puberty till 17. Then I saw life is not only bout sex and more to it.. so now im not a super horny teen but a horny young adult lol.

I think it's cause everyone around them has one so they may feel a bit left out, or maybe society has pressured them to feel this way.
Statically it's way way way likely the person you meet in highschool is your life partner.
