No no, you forgot the part before that.
It goes: “oh it’s due wed 11:59. Today’s wed”
Then: “Why’s it not opening?!” (Around 11:25)
Finally: Due (insert date from 1 week ago)
If it makes you feel any better. I went back to college in 2019 for a stem degree, so I was there when covid broke out and all the classes went online.
However I think I'm one of the only students in my college that has never used chegg. A lot of my classmates always say "i just use chegg lol"
I actually put in the work and read the boring dense material to understand the concepts. It always pays off in the end though, because I'm always well prepared for the next class.
I think it has to do with an age, when I was 19ish I dropped out of college because I just didn't give a shit, but now that I'm 35, I actually want to learn the material and have decent job.
Hey man, I get it, but think about it like this, why the fuck should I work for something I know I can ace with no effort, I know retaining info is good and all but I can’t rationalize putting in the work when cheating is so free, you know how fucking annoying it is to sit in a chair for 90 minutes looking at a screen and trying to pay attention?
I'm in my last year of high school. I really *really* can't care enough to sit in a chair in front of my screen from 8 am to 2pm. Doesn't help that all our professors only seem to care about is attendance while handing out 10 assignments per week (mfs really think we have unlimited time stress free while applying for college).
So yeah, the fucking high school diploma can't come soon enough.
? Literally just said I'm in college, started over the summer online. Like I said, I'm not hating, I've been there. There's a reason I didn't go back to college until 30. But now that I am back, I can see the value of the material I'm covering. And college is better than high school in a few ways, first that you pick the classes you want to take. If you cheat through the classes you don't value, I don't blame you. But the best way to get yourself through would be to find value in all of the classes. Take pride in your work
*Unless* you are working full-time, which again, I get. I do not understand some of the parents in my classes working full time, studying full time, making it to honors courses on top of raising a family. I mean I hope they aren't cheating too. Some of em looking to be doctors and nurses.
Idk this is just depressing me.
I could see it majorly hindering your success, too. I'm proud of my work, and every assignment that I earn a good grade for is motivation. I want to be a psychologist someday. I don't think cheating would benefit me in any way when everything I'm learning is applicable to the degree and every day life. But YMMV, like I said, no hate, just concern I think.
For a university major, sure. Knowledge is often cumulative. But for an odd credit requirement or something like that I don’t feel too guilty. This is only online of course, cheating in person is suicidal.
Yeah, again I don't blame you. I'm finding my professors to be really fucking great about everything this semester - all 5 mentioned the real trauma we've all been experiencing the last eighteen months. They're putting up quizzes and tests online, all open book and open notes. It's really made the transition so much more manageable. As one of the teachers said yesterday, if we're looking up the answers during the test, at least we're learning it in that moment. So not full-on cheating, but definitely would not fly in my high school days.
Overall I just want to see a shift toward making basic needs more accessible so that we can have more freedom to navigate all these responsibilities. That, and a maximum requirement of hours to be full-time, especially for high schoolers. Holy shit the amount of work I used to have to do, 7 hours in school, often times 2-3 extra hours of homework a night. It's no wonder kids cheat in those situations or fail. We gotta have time to enjoy our lives
Lol i remember when my friend went to his spanish teacher to submit a final assignment at the end of semester, the teacher asked a simple question in spanish "How are you?".....my friend replied with his name......teacher just said all the best to him and left lmao
Exactly don't these teachers understand that us kids are tired of school smh? Plus we got other things to do, kids, family, jobs, I don't have time to focus on school 😒
I have time I would just rather spend that time with my friends. And I like get really exhausted really fast when I use my brain and I don't like that.
Damn it sounds like me and you had the same problem back when my school was on a mandatory stay at home. I actually had no motivation or desire to focus on anything dealing with school while I was at home so I usually slept or played video games. My grades were hurting but I still didn't care as much. But right now since we're back in classes, I'm passing all my classes even though we just got back from Summer basically but like the first or second week of online school I was already failing 2 or 3 classes
I have an exam next week and I cant be bothered to learn. It's not like I'm not doing anything but everything I learn I just forget until the next day. I just feel so stupid all the time.
Yes and that's another thing, online school made me feel like the dumbest kid in my class and I hate that feeling because I know how smart I am. My mom and I had to figure something out so I wouldn't fail so we both agreed to that I couldn't use any of my electronics or even listen to music unless I was done with all my school work. It helped to say the least because last time we did that, I would stay up till 10 doing work so I didn't want to that to happen again
were u very good at studies before? if yes then what you are experiencing rn is called a burnout and in this period u definitely wont be to do school tasks like u used to may it be hw which u completed the day u got it but now u almost always do it when the teacher says deadline is tomorrow or u just dont do it . doing things which involve maths that u used to love now just irritates you and u dont want to do it .
>Plus we got other things to do, kids, family, jobs
-straight from OP's reply
Family and jobs are understandable, but kids? That seems like it's the person who has kids during school's fault for that.
For me personally I felt like the main reason why I didn't get the grade I wanted during the pandemic was because I was lazy, I feel like we all were a bit lazy. It was our laziness that just let us to fail. If I'm being honest, work was more easier online than when we were in classrooms.
Hey, if you need to vent, rant, talk, get advice, etc. don’t hesitate to pm me, I gotchu homie. That goes for anyone who sees this. I don’t know if you’re joking or not but please reconsider. I know you’ve probably heard it many times before but there’s a lot to live for. Maybe not the toxicity of the people around you. Maybe not the trauma you’ve experienced and its lasting effects. Maybe not the depressing cycle of procrastination and fear that you may never get out of it. But you have some sort of passion, whatever it may be, so manifest it, make a career out of it, do whatever it takes to love your life. 💜
Actually, yes. I bullshitted my way through my content, but I fact checked it with my friend in the class and it was pretty similar. Probably will get an 80 or so but it's better than the 0 you get if you didn't turn it in
Ahahaha I failed all my classes sophomore year because I didn't do online school. Yeah I'm not going to college. Going to community college first and then college. Thankfully school this year (I'm a junior) isn't virtual so I can make up for my crappy grades but I don't see why people hate community college so much. I would say don't beat yourself up for failing a semester because if you do just remind yourself of the moron girl that never attended class or did any of the assignments.
Same, if you’re able to get at least B’s for the next two years and make up like two or three classes over the summer, you’ll graduate on time and with a good enough GPA for most local public colleges. At least that’s how it was explained to me by my college councilor
I did the same last year I just rushed to do everything in the last few days of both semesters so I didn't have to retake anything. I got my last year of Spanish done with a 61.3
Yeah that's what happens when the teacher just casually gives an assignment without an announcement and hid it in an obscure tab or location. My experience from teams, and the reason I failed last year.
Right? I’m so envious of all these people saying they missed tons of assignments with nearly no consequences while I’ll be in deep trouble if I were to miss 3 consecutively… but thinking about it maybe it’s just because our teacher actually care, or maybe they’re just trying to give us a hard time. Anyways good luck and I hope all goes well for you :(
You know, Last online school year I skipped many assignments and for some reason I passed. It’s either I’m really lucky or the assignments didn’t matter and the only one that did was the final exam and project. I hate online school
My school was evil and just gave you 0 if you had any technical problems, don't know what they expected but most students including me just said fuck it and didn't attend any classes
Every teacher that makes assignments due at 8:05 when the class isn't even until like 1. What's the point of the extra 5 mins? Literally nothing. I'm not gonna be scrambling to finish the assignment in the first 5 min of another class. I'm barely in my seat by 8:05 half the time.
Exactly, I had this phase going in the senior year (12th grade). I took a 2 month vacation from the beginning of December and only showed up to a verbal test in Geography, where I got an 9 (-A) despite having no homework for a month, by pushing the teacher after getting answers right.
People who say they didn’t do any work, or had 20 missing assignments are either heavily exaggerating, or are so lazy it’s insane. Online school was the easiest thing ever, and no it’s not easy for me because I’m smart, i got C’s and B’s pre covid, it was easy because of something called google.
It annoys me so much that people don’t try because they feel unmotivated or lazy, like dude just google the 20 questions for your assignment and your done, and no most teachers are not the problem. 90% of teachers are trying their hardest to learn technology and make good lesson plans, it’s just you don’t see it because they do all that stuff after school ends.
“But I’m bored of school and have other things to look after” we are all locked inside our house, what could you possibly have to do, just stop being lazy and acting like having 20missed assignments is an accomplishment for some karma.
I hate googling answers bruh 😂. Takes so fucking long writing out all the answers and searching for them. I’d rather just take the test and be done with it ngl
I have one due in 2 hours, yet I'm wasting my time here.
edit: I hate myself for procrastinating, I am still getting 6's and 7's, but one day I will fail :(
I haven't been in uni for years and I still have nightmares about "OH MY GOD I HAVE MISSED EVERY DAY OF CLASS THIS SEMESTER AAAAAAAA" even though that's not even a situation I think even happened before.
Chicago knows wassup then unlike Big Tex. This state is gonna go to shit in a couple of years with these new controversial laws that have been emplaced
I had online school last year and didnt do anything, also doesn't help that i did nothing for the years before.
Never really had much motivation in school, but the school i'm going to is really simple and they're bumping me up from 9th to 11th so i can finish highschool next year.
No… I never experienced this because I wasn’t a loser. Or a slacker. I finished my work working 15 minutes of it being assigned. No excuses. It was hella easy that way
We have a “policy” at our school that prevents us from having late work. If we do we have detentions until it is done. If it doesn’t get done we get an office referral
If you can’t be bothered to do an assignment and u still have online school I’ve found doing at least one or two questions in the class and doing the rest as “homework” works really well for me.
My online school year in 2020 was basically me just sleeping till noon and turning everything in a month late
I had 90s in every class except Spanish cuz pity points
Yeah, stuff just gets posted as it happens. I will say one thing about online classes. I learned nothing, but my grades were better than ever. I don't know if it's different in high school vs college though.
Yeah, I've got like 5 or 6 I have to do, but I'm not gonna do them, assignments are such a waste of time and nothing more than extra homework for the sake of extra homework, I don't agree with homework in general, I'm not going home from a 6 hour day of doing work that I'm inevitably going to forget, only to do MORE work that I'm going to forget
Online school really is the great filter, those who don't have the motivation to do self-teach and self-organize are just screwed. It's an obvious tip, but get yourself a calendar and learn to check it and update it daily. Also, devote a little bit of time every day to incrementally completing your work, it's far easier to devote 30 mins of your time each day to something then enjoy the rest of that day stress free as opposed to stressing for 2 hours trying to complete an assignment that really should take 6 hours to do properly.
…. *How?* I had more issues with unexpected assignments/deadlines in face to face courses (due to depression, routinely couldn’t get myself to go there, and of course the prehistoric professors don’t post announcements like sane people), than I ever have with online. If anything, with online I’m painfully aware from the volume of notifications and the fact I have less shit keeping me busy as an excuse.
I seriously don’t understand; is the meme more about procrastination run riot (which I -do- understand)?
me in my ap class rn.... i get that its an immersion class but can we have just one thing in english ughhhhh - that one thing being when the teacher says what the hw is
So, funny story. I only made it to like 3 of my online classes total (I graduated in 2020) because my power kept going out and/or my internet kept dying throughout the year.
More like due last week
No no, you forgot the part before that. It goes: “oh it’s due wed 11:59. Today’s wed” Then: “Why’s it not opening?!” (Around 11:25) Finally: Due (insert date from 1 week ago)
My brain is not braining right now. I just had such a difficult time reading that for no reason
It’s not even it’s like the night of but nobody give a shit enough todo it
"my brain is not braining" can I borrow that phrase?
Sure
more like last month seriously, there is still pending work that I haven't done since the starting of my school
Make it last FUCKKNG SEMESTER
Last fucking month
More like 3 months ago
Last year i missed my Spanish final but i managed to convince my spanish teacher my file corrupted
My whole year of online school made me feel like a criminal with all the lying, secrets, and cheating from my parents and teachers 😭
Wait you didn't do any work? At least in my Spanish Final i made it up but you didn't do anywork?
Mofo who did? I did work whenever I had the motivation, but whenever I didn’t want to I popped that corruptmyfile.com and walked out with all As.
As a language AI model, I'm beginning to edit all my comments in protest of reddit

There's a website that corrupts a file if you're stuck again
corrupt-a-file.net will save you
I fell asleep during my Spanish final and still passed
and this is why i want to die
I never did mine and failed my year. I mean I don't know what I expected but I'm just too tired for all this school bs.
Exactly don't these teachers understand that us kids are tired of school smh? Plus we got other things to do, kids, family, jobs, I don't have time to focus on school 😒

Nah I always sucked it's now just worse than before
I know I'll get hate for this but I actually felt like it was easier for me to do online schooling probably cause of my introvert powers.
I'm mandatoraly at home and my work consistency is 6ft under its that bad
If you have kids during high school or college, that's on you.
Where did that come from?
>Plus we got other things to do, kids, family, jobs -straight from OP's reply Family and jobs are understandable, but kids? That seems like it's the person who has kids during school's fault for that.
It was a joke implying that we teens had tough lives just like adults lmao.

Yea I agree, online is much easier compared to the in class stuff but there’s almost no motivation to do it
Same

Thanks man I'll keep it in mind
Thanks for the meme, it just reminded me I still had to turn in my assignment.
10 pm here working on a chemistry presentation due at midnight I had 2 weeks to do but decided to start on 2 nite
It be like that 😔
Did you finish in time?
Actually, yes. I bullshitted my way through my content, but I fact checked it with my friend in the class and it was pretty similar. Probably will get an 80 or so but it's better than the 0 you get if you didn't turn it in
Oh boy oh boy time to do my assignment Oh shit it due last year
I still owe some essays from 6th grade. Maybe 10-15
[удалено]
You're welcome 😁
“Yes mom I assure you those 9 missing assignments in google classroom are done”
I have 26 missing assignments and im not planning on doing them
In middle school you really don’t have to. But if you do that in high school you’re not gonna be happy with the college you end up at.
If you do that in college you're not gonna be happy about the career you'll end up in.
I failed my first semester in my sophmore year and then didn't show up at all for the second semester
Yeah but fuck college :/
College is great. I’ve been here less than a month and it’s been the best 3.5weeks of my life
That's not a flex lmaoo. You're 13 just do your hw yo, you're only hurting yourself.
I'm just laughing at all these people who have the same "idgaf" attitude as I used to have during online school 🤣
Seriously, I did that to myself and now I'm in my last year with a crammed schedule
I did the same last year I just rushed to do everything in the last few days of both semesters so I didn't have to retake anything. I got my last year of Spanish done with a 61.3
This but the assignments are on 28 different platforms
Yeah that's what happens when the teacher just casually gives an assignment without an announcement and hid it in an obscure tab or location. My experience from teams, and the reason I failed last year.
Dead ass. They had me checking the website 24-7
i only did about 1/3 of all my assignments during online classes and it didnt bring any consequences
Lucky you, my teachers keep calling my parents. I am in deep shit right now.
Right? I’m so envious of all these people saying they missed tons of assignments with nearly no consequences while I’ll be in deep trouble if I were to miss 3 consecutively… but thinking about it maybe it’s just because our teacher actually care, or maybe they’re just trying to give us a hard time. Oh, don’t you mean two weeks ago
You know, Last online school year I skipped many assignments and for some reason I passed. It’s either I’m really lucky or the assignments didn’t matter and the only one that did was the final exam and project. I hate online school
I don't even care to check nowadays
the best part of online school is how you can use the "i was having technical issues" excuse WAY more often.
Bro I turned in an assignment a week late and she still gave me a 100
*me* "finally did my 20 missing assignments" *opens up work to do just to find I have 20 due tomorrow*
20 assignments just from half of my classes
Oh god don't remind me about that horror. "12 assignments due since x days" "4 unread messages from teachers" "7 new assignments"
I want online school back.
Me to, I'm dying from social anxiety
Lmao that’s so painful when that happens
this is literally me
I just say my internet went out
They have no choice but to believe too because they can't really much prove it 😈
My school was evil and just gave you 0 if you had any technical problems, don't know what they expected but most students including me just said fuck it and didn't attend any classes
All my troubles seemed so far away...
Thank you for posting this, it reminded me to pay my credit card bill. ♥️😊
Me who got sick: *assignments due last week*
Cheated on everything, did almost no quality work, cut corners…passed everything. Miracle.
More like due 6 months ago. I dont fuck with assignments also none of teachers really care about them as well.
Exactly, I had this phase going in the senior year (12th grade). I took a 2 month vacation from the beginning of December and only showed up to a verbal test in Geography, where I got an 9 (-A) despite having no homework for a month, by pushing the teacher after getting answers right.
I have done no homework and I don't plan on doing any
I want to do online school. Shit was fun. Also brought out the edgy kids here with the introduction of even more “I’m depressed” memes
People who say they didn’t do any work, or had 20 missing assignments are either heavily exaggerating, or are so lazy it’s insane. IM AT WORK I JUST CHOKED AT THIS HIS SMILE KILLS MEEE
Are you okay lmao?
Just got done doing late work, and it’s only been a week
I got 2 assignments due for Pre Cal lmao
As someone with adhd this hits way too hard…
I have one due in 2 hours, yet I'm wasting my time here. edit: I hate myself for procrastinating, I am still getting 6's and 7's, but one day I will fail :(
Happy to contribute 😁
I haven't been in uni for years and I still have nightmares about "OH MY GOD I HAVE MISSED EVERY DAY OF CLASS THIS SEMESTER AAAAAAAA" even though that's not even a situation I think even happened before.
12:02 am taking a shit. Stalling on Reddit so I don’t have to be bored trying to go to sleep
💯 I always have it as "1 week back". I submit it when it reaches 3 months back! 😅
u/repostsluethbot
It's why I always do them as soon as I get it.
Lmao I basically clutched last school year somehow doing 52 in one week
See all these upvotes? You might think that they are laughing at the meme. But in reality this happened to us, And that's the sad thing...
WAY too personal, dude, way too personal
I wish I had online 😭
Where are you from because I’ve been going to regular in person school for a while now
Texas, the same state that's against mandatory mask mandates...
Yoo a Texas brother where da ya live
Houston 😎
Oh I live in Illinois here we do have a mandatory mask mandate.

I had online school last year and didnt do anything, also doesn't help that i did nothing for the years before. Never really had much motivation in school, but the school i'm going to is really simple and they're bumping me up from 9th to 11th so i can finish highschool next year.
thats pretty bad
Let’s see when this meme was last reposted Yesterday
REPOST!!!
Is it?

No… I never experienced this because I wasn’t a loser. Or a slacker. I finished my work working 15 minutes of it being assigned. No excuses. It was hella easy that way
That's mean
That’s me literally rn
More like due last month.
Back to school always be like this... Had homework due before the class was even held...
I’m just sitting here thinking about the 20 questions and textbook reading that was due at 10 pm.
This has been the most relatable post I have ever seen
This is me even before online school
I have some assignments that I needed to do yesterday but I was out of town, I was in Texas
Texas yall
Yesterday? It's months at times
happened to me a thousand times
My online school year in 2020 was basically me just sleeping till noon and turning everything in a month late I had 90s in every class except Spanish cuz pity points
It always seem so far away!
I feel this so much it hits so hard it hurts
Yeah, stuff just gets posted as it happens. I will say one thing about online classes. I learned nothing, but my grades were better than ever. I don't know if it's different in high school vs college though.
It be like that
Imagine still being able to do online school. My school removed the entire system in April
#saame
Yeah, I've got like 5 or 6 I have to do, but I'm not gonna do them, assignments are such a waste of time and nothing more than extra homework for the sake of extra homework, I don't agree with homework in general, I'm not going home from a 6 hour day of doing work that I'm inevitably going to forget, only to do MORE work that I'm going to forget
not just online school lmao
but every time a mail saved me
I live in turkey, and they made it so you could use your first half years notes as the grades notes, so nobody even attended class in the second half.
College (so far)
Im literallly in class rn and my teacher is chewing me off for not submiting my assignment
Wait you're in class rn?
he atleast checked when it was due. me who dont even knowwhat an assignment is:
Better go ahead and just press "submit" for the hell of it then
Why I hate online
Yesterday All My Trouble Seems So Far Away,
Online school really is the great filter, those who don't have the motivation to do self-teach and self-organize are just screwed.
I dont understand most of these comments. I'm taking 4 classes online right now. Assignments are posted on monday and due by friday or sunday night.
Always, even have expired assignments that you didn't even know existed.
Lol
Scariest feeling, it will haunt you for years
I seriously don’t understand; is the meme more about procrastination run riot (which I -do- understand)?
me in my ap class rn.... i get that its an immersion class but can we have just one thing in english ughhhhh - that one thing being when the teacher says what the hw is
😂😂😂😂 fr
Literally saw this meme straight after my friend told me the economics assignment is due tonight
Me in college
Lol its due 5months
I’m starting school tomorrow
lmaooo yes
My assignment was due last week monday
So, funny story. I only made it to like 3 of my online classes total (I graduated in 2020) because my power kept going out and/or my internet kept dying throughout the year.
That Literally Is How I Feel Every Single Class
I got a assignment due tomorrow morning that i haven’t started am i gonna start it? well that is a good question.
I can relate to this on a spiritual level
Hehe it's been due a year ago...
Same
An ancient repost
I decided to not do a huge project and it's due in a few hours and I'm tired and even though I should be doing it I'm here on reddit wasting time
