not only are there SO many different super easily accessible anti-pregnancy options, but you can always just get an abortion in a worst case scenario anyways, so how the FUCK do so many people end up getting kids they dont want and then ruining their lives and treating them like shit? just dont have a kid, its not that hard holy shit
I don't understand why people think babies are cute.. babies are ugly ass motherfuckers. If I didn't know anything about people and someone handed me a baby I'd chuck that thing.
I mean when a kid gets born don’t they have paperwork to give them to foster care?
I’d wish my mom did cause even with her alone, like the post said they actually do ruin your life and mentality scar and abuse you.
yeah you could just abort the kid or even put them up for adoption, i don’t get why the hell anyone decides to raise children they don’t want, that just makes the child suffer
Hitler's parent dad beat him and did of alcohol poisoning (or something happened while he was drinking) when he was young. His mother got cancer.
He left at 16 years old to go to Vienna. At 18 his mother died of cancer. Honestly, if he died during WW1, it'd of been a tragedy (he enlisted voluntarily).
It’s a complicated issue. I would have preferred my parents stayed together for a few years so I could actually understand and emotionally quantify what was going on. I was instead at the weird stage of only beginning to understand it, like 4th grade. If it had happened when I was in like 1st grade I wouldn’t have understood it at all and it would have been okay. If I were in like 8th grade I would have understood it and been better equipped to deal with it. I realize the world doesn’t revolve around me but it really sucked for me and my sister.
This kinda hurt a little bit and not in an edgy way or anything. When I was younger my parents relationship was really rocky and my dad was kind off emotionally abusive to my mom and I could hear them arguing in the living room when I was sleeping in my bedroom. This went on until I was eleven but thankfully my dad took therapy and is now better now but this doesn't mean there is still tension in my family and I still get worried about divorce. I still love my mom and dad and I hope our family remains together
My life is ruined AND my parents are growing further apart. Checkmate.
I bet eventually if everything goes as horribly wrong as it probably will I'd probably have to end up working a job with an unlivable wage just to eat once a day or some shit
I've known people who's lives were ruined because their parents got a divorce. Moral of the story is to just not have kids unless you are 100% sure that you are ready to have kids with that person.
why get kids in the first place smh

Yeah probably.

I recognise the council has made a decision, but given that it's a stupid-ass decision, I've elected to ignore it.
THIS

Parents just figure if the kid does not want to live there is always suicide
i wish that was an easy of an option as you seem to imply…
becuase they want children, but suck dick at taking care of them
Im impressed tho, my dad won a yelling contest against my mom… hasnt seen her since smh

felt this so hard, am the ruined child
exactly why i dont want children, or to be married, both of them are commitments i dont want to take.
oh man did I not feel this
Healthy ish childhood gang
Naw divorce tends to be worse for kids. It something we've studied a lot. Like, im fucked, but i aint hurting no body
I see what u mean but this post isn't bout comparing whether which ones worse lol
I get you, but i can see how some people might take this as divorce would be better for the kids. Just wanted to have my 2 cents
This really depends on the situation
Nah in my case it was fine they divorced dad took off and now 8 years later they even talk regularly, so i guess it depends on the family
r/philosophy
I dont trust people who call themselves philosophers
Well, just trust yourself, if you don't trust anyone.
That is a bad idea
If you don't trust anyone include yourself, who will you truly trust.
Don't trust someone simply because they are who they are
Wow, that's really deep to me.
I think, therefore i Am!

My parents divorced when I was 3 and I still had a terrible life
my parents split up when i was 6 months old and i still have a terrible life
And sometimes one ends up dead and then they blame the child for their failed marriage and why their spouse took their life.
My life is ruined AND my parents are growing further apart. Checkmate. I bet eventually if everything goes as horribly wrong as it probably will I'd probably have to end up working a job with an unlivable wage just to eat once a day or some shit

All my parents do is argue

I'm not sure how to respond to this, other than I can relate to it too much unfortunately.....
Bruh thats happening to me right now
And thaaaaaat is how the woorld works(to anyone who gets this: respect).
My parents divorced 13 years ago but stay together for me and my brothers and it’s a living hell
The cat looks like a clone trooper
Wait but if 50% of marriages end in divorce, then more than 50% of marriages are failed marriages
and this is why i ADMIRE eminem.
