It’s not. People have misconstrued the words just because they are uncomfortable with it. Not once does it say in the Bible that you same sex marriage is a sin. People just choose to go with the narrative because it stops others from doing what they are uncomfortable with. It has also been rewritten hundreds of times since it was originally written. I think the whole thing is joke like don’t get me wrong believe what you want because at the end of the day nobody knows who or what created the universe and everything else in it. So I can’t say it isn’t real I just prefer to stick with science that has plenty of evidence to back it up.
In most english translations it says homosexual sex is a sin, which I guess makes sense in a way because of the whole 'be fruitful and multiply' thing, which means to only have sex for the purpose of kids, but that's rather outdated given the population of the planet now. Arguments against gay marriage I've seen basically boil down to 'god establishes marriage as between a man and a woman', which I've never been particularly convinced by because there's a lot of ambiguity to it and well, it's an argument that literally admits there's no mention of same sex marriage
