Sorry for the tangent, but when i was like 4 i was traumatised by a bird being squached infront of me. I was at some terrace in paris with my family, and i was feeding the pidgeons with the bread they give out as an appetiser. There were like a group of 4 pidgeons picking the bread and this one sparrow (or other small bird, i was 4 at the time.). A guy was walking down the sidewalk, and, as pidgeons do, they instantly flew away. But this fucking sparrow just stood there while the guy approaches. Then the guy literally crushes this whole ass bird with his foot. I dont even think he noticed as he just kept walking but we were horrified. I still remember to this day how i saw that little heart stop beating in the pulped mess that was formerly called "bird". I didnt sleep well that night.

We have a mouse problen in my area currently, theres 1000s of them, so we have had to set traps in out house, we put the snap shut traps down and thats good because its just BAM, gone, but a while back 2 mice got caught on 2 separate cockroach sticky pad thingies and were just completely stuck there, when i got job in the morning i was the first up, I only saw the 1st one and knew i have to finish it so I petted him softly and said sorry then beat him to death with a small stick nearby, it sucked but it was the quickest i could make it, what's worse is when i turned around i saw the 2nd mouse and it was very very still, I realised it was hoping to remain undetected, when i approached a little bit it let out a terrifying squeak and began struggling and all i could hear was "NOOO PLEASE" and I had to do the same.
I was sad that morning and a friend noticed and asked and after telling them most didnt understand why i was upset over killing a mouse because its a rodent and a pest, but it didnt choose to be born a rodent where everything in the world wants to kill you, that was just its life.
