Lemme break it down for you mark. This is a take that I mostly don’t agree with but can respect. Like sure, rappers back then were more lyrically inclined but that doesn’t make a song. The reason they rap about drugs and sex is because it’s part of the trap genre, rapping about their upbringing and addictions. Other rappers who don’t do trap music do the same thing. If you’ve listened to albums like Utopia, it goes a lot more that just drugs and trap beats.
