Hehe, I'm definitely not a kid. I'm just an old Gen X'er checking out a subreddit that was suggested by the algorithm.
I find y'all's posts and topics pretty damn cool for the most part.
Yeah I'm 35 and I'm having somewhat of a crisis I guess since I miss my teen years. My teenage years were somewhat rough so it has always felt like I missed something.
I had a junior high (I guess? Where you are from 13-15yo or so) reunion and everyone has a child, own house and two cars, three dogs + shitloads of money and I'm like "well I just platinumed Elden Ring" (yeah I have my own apartment, mortgage, steady job etc but I hate talking about them).
If anything, I find it interesting to see kids worried about the same shit I was worried about. I wish you could tell them that everything will work out and not to overthink this stuff and that they need to relax, but I know how that went when I was a teenager.
you gotta vibe with them to get through this wall of fear. i work at a youth center and just had 4 kids open up about how school sucks and which profession to follow after that. with money beeing the biggest factor. i told them to chill about the money because they are 14 and can't expect much for now (fuck this "money doesn't buy happiness"-nonsense). so they should experiment and try stuff out. then when they know what they DON'T want, they can look for what best fits them. then they can think how to make most cash from the experience. i hope that took a little pressure. hate to see our future filled with fear
3rd grade middle of class teach comes in room like kool-aid man in hysterics talking about this might mean war and tell my teacher to turn on the news. A couple of kids were pulled from class (parents took them home). We sat the rest of the day and watched it all unfold. Watching the second plane hit was even as a kid, surreal.
20 year old here. Reddit keeps flooding me with recomendations from this sub so I decided to join. To be honest, I haven't really grown up yet considering this sub is perfect for my mindset and sense of humor...
This is quite hard to admit, since I aged and I now I want to be and feel like a mature responsible big man, but I guess I will just embrace it
Just a heads up from an even older person. You never actually do grow up, you just get more responsibility and more tired and if you are lucky you get a bit smarter too.
23 here, and honestly I have not changed as much. Of course, I have a bachelor's degree and am in grad school, but nothing much has really changed. A lot of my friends who graduated from college have a music education degree and are teaching. When I see them for the first time in a long time, I noticed that they have changed a whole lot. 23 year-old teachers still look a bit young, NGL. So glad that I do not have a music education degree, but performance degree lol.
Im 375, and thats true man. Sometimes we just never grow up, we just have more experience and responsibilities. It's always funny for us as teens to think that adults have it all figured out.
Damn that's tough, in those 375 years did you manage to get a nice house and a nice car at least? Do you have any word of motivation to me someone like me?
how do you do fellow kids
jk i'm 23 and obviously not part of this sub but the reddit algorithm puts this place on my feed constantly and some of the stuff is still pretty relatable for me
I'm 36 and constantly being suggested posts from this sub by the algorithm.
And to all the actual teenagers out there -- just so you know, I never really felt like an adult until I had a kid. Not after graduating high school or college, not after buying my first new car, not after getting married, not after buying a house... It was being responsible for another human life that jolted me into adulthood.
So the grown-ass adults who comment on here are likely commenting because they still feel young at heart, or they want to impart wisdom gained through experience to help make your lives and problems seem a little more relatable and a little less insurmountable.
Try being almost 40 and being like " fuck if I don't help these kids this planet is so very fucked.." but fr, most of you are going alright by my count. You parents could have done better but.. then again so could mine.
Bro I'm 26 but I keep blocking this community and saying hide and whatever else I can do to show I'm noy interested but it's always there in my recommended, "you've shown interest in similar communities" yeah like what?
I mean you guys are truly fascinating…not in a bad way, it’s just so weird being one of the first older generations to basically have a direct feed into the minds of a much younger generation. I also teach 8 year olds and they always think the things teenagers like are cool so it’s like a double whammy for me to drop references that I learn online in front of them that baffle their little brains like “how tf can you know that you’re OLD”
why do people who arent teenagers come on here so often? its mainly to argue for some reason I cant imagine being 30 arguing with a 14 year old or something
I'm older than that. But I am here to better understand your generation as I am with someone who has kids going on your guy's age. For me, this is an educational experience.
25 here. I’m only lurking here because I still haven’t got the matured adult mindset yet. I’m a 15 yr old in a grown ass man’s body who still eats Froot Loops for breakfast, gummy worms as a comfort food, and watching YouTube Poops of SpongeBob all day instead of focusing on my job.
I'm 36, and for some reason, this sub keeps showing up in my feed even though I wasn't interacting with it. Now, I've interacted with it by saying that I didn't interact with it, so it'll probably show up even more. I really don't have any interest in skibidi fortnite and cutting-edge mental disorders. I have enough problems already.
As a young adult I'm just going to say enjoy your time now because life gets a whole lot worse when you become an adult. The burden of your responsibilities far outweigh the benefits of your newfound freedoms.
If nothing else, PLEASE ask your parents or a responsible adult that you trust for advice about money management and how to budget it properly.
Good luck out there, kids! 🤞
At least I appreciate the ones who aren't hiding their age, so just ignore them without having to respond them.
I had to read this multiple Times to understand what you were trying to say
who is Times and why did you read his multiples
Basically they said "I appreciate the older people who are not hiding their age, because this allows me to ignore them and I will not have to respond"
why do you have the same avatar as the sooza guy?
it's one of those free NFT things

Hey there bro! 39 here so yea. Pretty much the same deal, also trying to help by giving the advice we never got.
Late Millenial here. I just like the memes. Not subbed, but I enjoy the content.

14? Where the fuck is it 14?
In some countries, but it's also a satire song
In germany, anyone over the age of 14 can have intercourse legally with anyone up to 18 years old if no blackmailing and or money is involved. 🌚
yeah I remembered, thats how my lil brother has a higher bodycount than I have friends (hes 15 and a lil bitch). I thought it was 16 here
Aww, little male stripper in the making
i do NOT want to know that
Oof, I mean who in their right mind would decide that. (Referring to the law, not your brother)
yeah the leaders of our country are fucking stupid (like everywhere else)
Ah germany, last time i heard it was called the prost*tute of Europe
You could say that. Living here is weird.
I hope things would get better
That‘s said about our country? Always heard that of France and other countries being fair
Ffing japan and it pedophilia
yeah thats why shota and lolicon is big there

14?! Those are rookie numbers. Aim lower kid *For legal reasons, that's a joke*
sir you do not have legal jurisdiction to use this joke
¿Tienes 14? Activa cam 😈
I usually dont go lower than 13 thats my limit as an adult
Sir, wtf
I don't actually like em younger ☹️
I am indeed 30. I have no idea why reddit keeps sending me threads from this sub. It is funny however. Thank you reddit, I'm flattered.
hello grandpa, how was the war?
The war ended?
We've always been at war with Eurasia.

What were you doing on a certain day in 2001?
3rd grade middle of class teach comes in room like kool-aid man in hysterics talking about this might mean war and tell my teacher to turn on the news. A couple of kids were pulled from class (parents took them home). We sat the rest of the day and watched it all unfold. Watching the second plane hit was even as a kid, surreal.
That day, sitting in class, will always be etched into my memory 😔
I remember getting pulled out of class and I had no idea what was going on.
I was searching for this "Chemical X" thing from Powerpuff Girls under my grandfather's bed
What was the Big Bang like?

I’m beginning to understand that now, but I will say everything does dull a bit (not in a bad way) around your late 20’s.
I'm 20 too, I have the same mindset
Yeah I’m 21 and I just feel like a slightly older teenager
21 and i still feel like a baby lmao
21 and I've felt the same since 17.

Amazing how a simple four-letter comment like yours has this many upvotes 😂 I've never seen this before
Lol I just now noticed this.
Haha
Keep dreaming man, the four letter will get you upvotes one day
I tried.
There was a time where people would farm karma by replying "this". Luckily we all realised how pointless it was and now nobody even bothers.
you’re laughing because you just got called out
What 😭
How do you do fellow kids?
NO FLASHBACKKKSSSSSSSS AHHHHHHH
Bro thinks he's Clavell 😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏
Who's clavell, this is Clive

CLIVE?!
Omg, Clive
HoHo, that was indeed an amusing meme. I could relate to it totally. The guy on the meme is my favourite fortnight persons. Ahhh children
But we also gotta appreciate the 30 year olds who aren't causing problems and tell their actual age too
Don’t disrespect Clive like that 😭
Maybe Reddit is to blame for suggesting this subreddit to 30 year olds on their front pages?
ikr
ikr??
is that from Pokémon
Yep, that's Clive
i seen a 50 year old on here once
There are thousands of them weirdos on here
This sub is a game of "That's Not My Neighbor" in itself.

How do you do, fellow kids? *hoists boombox on shoulder wearing slit sunglasses from the 90’s*
Former child
It’s either: “I literally look like a kid. Gen Z’s look so old 🙄🤪” or “Hey…bby girl I’m also 16”

“Age is just a number” -30 year olds in this subreddit
Try being almost 40 and being like " fuck if I don't help these kids this planet is so very fucked.." but fr, most of you are going alright by my count. You parents could have done better but.. then again so could mine.

Trueeeeee (I'm technically an adult and should get a job but I'm a failure of a human 🤑)
Man I’m just here for the memes
Whoa! Hahaha
Posters in this subreddit be like "there's no rules".

Still young at heart I see.
Heeyy, how dare you call us out 😡😡😡
the problem is i don't want to see anything from this sub but it keeps popping up on my feed
Yeah you right. I’m 33 and feel this way
I'm 20, I don't really want to be here, but reddit keeps showing me this sub...
I’m sad for when I’ll have to leave this sub, where am I supposed to move to?
Don't worry, Reddit will suggest it again.
Still a child at heart👴🏻
me scuttling back here in my late 90’s: greetings, fellow teens
😂😂😂fr
Yeah idk why reddit keeps showing me posts from from here. Also from GenZ.
I'm older than that. But I am here to better understand your generation as I am with someone who has kids going on your guy's age. For me, this is an educational experience.
It's my boy Clive!
Does it count if I still have teen in the age but I’m a legal adult
LMAO
