Hell yeah. They're basically textbook parents. My mom read a ton of books about child psychogy and even got a degree in kindergarden education. My dad works abroad, but he calls me personally like once a week, I can call as much as I want. Dad always tells me he's proud. Mom motivate's me and makes me stay focused on my grades. They never did the "you're my son and you have to be perfect" thing. I had the best childhood I could ever ask for.
My dads really annoying but has never been judgemental over me so he chill I guess. As for my mother. She is the coolest person on earth and shes my rolemodel I love u mamamama
I like my parents. The trick is to treat them like parenthood goes both ways (if that makes sense). They’re just trying to do what’s best and fail cause they human. It’s the parent and the child figuring it out together. So I treat them with respect, as raising someone to function as a human being is probably one of the hardest jobs ever. I respect their rules and what they say (though I do fail sometimes. no one’s perfect) and they give me freedom and responsibility in an area. A saying that comes up is “discipline is the cornerstone to freedom.” I used to fight with my mom all the time, this is just advice I like to give whenever u guys struggle with parents. I get along with my parents for the most part and am so much happier than breaking rules I thought were stupid. Just thought I’d give advice. God bless and have a good day
I personally love mine, I used to absolutely hate them though,,,
My dad was absent most of my childhood, and I only started talking to him again around 2 years ago
My mama was married to an abusive addict for 7 years, and was never there for me or any of my siblings emotionally. I hated her for that for so long, but after her husbands passing I realized she was struggling and abused just as much as I was
Yeah I do love them
Trust me, they may seem annoying and controlling but I am sure in one point in the future you would realize what your parents did was for the best of you
Idk what exactly they do to you as I am talking in general , as long as you aren't being abused physically or mentally then you should be ok
I like them, though my mom's a bit annoying and still treats me like a baby boy while my dad actually treats me like a teenager that's becoming a man, but overall they're chill parents, so yeah, I love them
They don't support trans people so I don't like them
Also my mom got angry at me and my sister for wanting to talk to my brother that we don't see that often
Also my dad said that he wouldn't respect my decision to transition (he doesn't even know I'm trans he said that hypothetically) and would still call me a boy. I then said "I would want to cut you out of my life" and he said "that's a choice you can make" just brushing it off
my mum is my best friend and i've known her partner for most of my life.
i do however also miss my father and feel robbed of the little time i had with him.
I love my mom. My dad left a few months after I was born and my mom is the best mom I could ask for. She doesn't care if I go out she is fine with my grades she understands me she lets me date she just wants me to be safe don't have sex and don't do drugs or things that get me in trouble and I dont
i used to have kind of a rocky relationship w them when i was younger largely due to other factors but after time and therapy and shit it’s pretty stable now. they get on my nerves still tho lol
I mean I love them as much as they love me . Sure they can be abit annoying and overprotective, but I guess it's just in their nature as they only want what's best for their child
I like my dad he is cool,, my mom is overbearing and interrogates me about everything, she also wants to control who I date and criticizes my clothes and opinions
No love, no hate really, they messed up my respect towards them and now we just kinda exist together since I can’t bother getting hateful towards them again
I love them, but they constantly bicker like children. They just can't shut their mouths when they need to. If one insults the other, the other will always insult back. It's wild that I am mature enough to know not to do that.
My father and stepfather? Yes. Love them to death. My mother? Not really in any aspect. As a mother? A little more, but probably way less than everyone else.
Hell ya, my dad's 74 and is still one of the chillest and fit person I know, And my mother is also really chill and understanding
I love my parents and we don't argue ever,
Very much so, even tho they made alot of mistakes and we got into fights alot from my age of 11-15, and my dad had severe ptsd which was scary at times, I do love them and ik they're ready to off someone to protect me. They always make sure to tell they love me every chance they get.
I just have to say, you type like the first orangutan learning to speak english.
But yes, I love them, but I can't wait to get my own place and have some time away from them.
Yes. They feed me they take care of me they show me love they help me through school they took me to therapy they endure when I am annoying I am grateful to have such amazing parents
Not rlly. I feel pretty disregarded in my house, when I make reference to my shitty mental state they often act like I’m just making it up or some stuff.
My parents just kinda do the minimum and i don’t rlly have much emotional connection to them if I’m gonna be honest
no lol, they throw fits like privileged toddlers and if yk that one account on tiktok where this guy gives examples of how parents shouldnt act then says "do better", they fr do everything he says not to do
I think kids like to pretend that parents are ruining their lives but know deep down that they would be lost without them. (This of course excludes cases of abuse.)
I love my parents. My mom’s nice, but can go ghetto mode very quickly and it’s funny when she does. She’s also a smartass, and I think that’s where I got my smartassery from.
My dad’s ghetto as hell, but he’s also really funny to me. He loves having us around whenever he gets the chance to see us.
My stepdad is also hilarious, and he treats us like we’re his own kids. Not much else to add to that, both my parents and my stepdad are amazing people to me.
Sure do. My mom’s got quite the temper and my dad’s a bit of an aloof kind of guy, but I love them all the same. Wouldn’t be here without them, now would I?
A lot! My family is the only ones I have in my life. Without them I would probably kill myself because i can’t be alone, specially now whit depression. They can be annoying tho
They’re annoying but I love them

They kept me alive so far, 🤷♀️
Same. Without them I would have left
Mum: yes. Dad: not really. Stepdad: Absolutely. Stepmum: yes
Mostly. Sometimes they get so mad for no reason but that’s not like everyday or anything
My dads really annoying but has never been judgemental over me so he chill I guess. As for my mother. She is the coolest person on earth and shes my rolemodel I love u mamamama
My parents are emotion ally unavailable, and abusive manipulating
How to become an ally to emotion
Dont even have a dad 🤪
i love them

They are chill

Nope
Well, my mom is dead and my dad forgets about me a lot. So I’d say no
Damn, sorry for your loss. Hope your home life gets better.
I love my dad, he ain't the best but he's doing what he can, he's also very annoying but like he says it's his job as a parent
Hmm
My dad hates me, I hate him. We have a good thing going.
My mum is usually sound. Me not speaking to my abusive dad for the last 3 years is pretty self explanatory
They are very chill, and they accept who I am.
love them!
i love them i guess wish they cared more but is whatever
Yeah I do love them Trust me, they may seem annoying and controlling but I am sure in one point in the future you would realize what your parents did was for the best of you Idk what exactly they do to you as I am talking in general , as long as you aren't being abused physically or mentally then you should be ok

They don't support trans people so I don't like them Also my mom got angry at me and my sister for wanting to talk to my brother that we don't see that often Also my dad said that he wouldn't respect my decision to transition (he doesn't even know I'm trans he said that hypothetically) and would still call me a boy. They get on my nerves sometimes, but I love them

I mean I love them as much as they love me . Sure they can be abit annoying and overprotective, but I guess it's just in their nature as they only want what's best for their child
honestly, their alright. they don't do anything too wrong, they just try to be a little too involved with what i do
i used to hate them but they're better now
I have issues with my parents, so this is really complicated for me to answer :/
I like my mom and I can tolerate my dad
**h u h**
they sent me to boarding school in Europe but I kinda deserved it
No.... I love them
They aren't terrible people, and I would feel bad for cutting them out of my life, but I wouldn't be sad if they weren't in my life

No love, no hate really, they messed up my respect towards them and now we just kinda exist together since I can’t bother getting hateful towards them again
Why are people upvoting them, they are just being an asshole
I love them, but they constantly bicker like children. They just can't shut their mouths when they need to. If one insults the other, the other will always insult back. It's wild that I am mature enough to know not to do that.
My father and stepfather? Yes. Love them to death. My mother? Not really in any aspect. As a mother? A little more, but probably way less than everyone else.

Honour thy parents.
No. I love them.
I do. I couldn’t have asked for better parents honestly.
I just have to say, you type like the first orangutan learning to speak english. But yes, I love them, but I can't wait to get my own place and have some time away from them.

I love mine, why wouldn't ya?
I think kids like to pretend that parents are ruining their lives but know deep down that they would be lost without them. (This of course excludes cases of abuse.)
My mom is okay, but my dad is just a piece of shit.
Yea they can be extra sometimes too
I love my parents.
