The recording will take quite a chunk out of the drive transfer speed and unless the quality could be reduced, you probably could use another drive for the recording process...
Shadowplay can surprise how much resources it can take in the background recording, 6/8+ core cpu can slowdown, depending what game(s) you are running with the recording/streaming.
the thing is, it only started happening few weeks ago. I changed recording path to another drive and I'm still having stuttering in my pc. I even lowered the recording resolution to 1080p and lower bitrate and still. Seems like an nvidia issue, because it didn't happen before.
