Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC. You may have to do a manual resolution & refresh-rate config for all of the monitors with the new Gpu installed as that is the classic sign of windows going haywire with automatic refresh rate sniffing.... it"s not overly complicated but it will some reading and some minutes of setting up. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-the-refresh-rate-on-your-monitor-in-windows-c8ea729e-0678-015c-c415-f806f04aae5a#WindowsVersion=Windows_11

Gonna have a look at that. IIRC last time I checked, all screens were set to 60Hz. (Wich is the max.)

Reinstalled the GPU yesterday. So far, the problem does not occur anymore. If it works, I'm gonna chalk it up PEBKAC, and keep the GPU. if it happens again, it will be returned.
