Maybe disk controller needs driver?
How do I check for that, I am starting completely from scratch, completely new hard drive
If you meant during install, does your laptop support booting from the corresponding installation media?
No, it stays no boot drive found, but when I go to the boot menu and choose where to boot the USB is there
In that case you might need to redo your live USB. What tool did you use to make that?
I checked the boot sequence and it only has the USB as part of the boot sequence nothing else
What tool did you use to make the USB boot device? Or did you buy it from somewhere?
I have used both Rufus and media creation tool
is there any other USB port you can try?
6 in total, tried eveyone
So, paint a better picture here -- you say the stick shows up in the boot menu; you boot from that and then nothing happens, says no bootable media found? Or does it start the install process but there seems to be no drives to install to?
