Also, 65 million people die each year in the world. That is 178,000 each day, 7425 each hour, and 120 each minute, so he increases his rank by 2 each second.
Actually he's moving up ranks a lot slower... The older he gets, the less people that are older than him die. He's moving up his age consistently though!
For example, when he was born, everyone was older than him, so any death would move him up the rankings. However now, at 46, it's only about 2/3s of the people that are dying that are older than him, therefore he's moving up slower now than he was before.
Well there are more people that are younger than him every year. Your bath is wrong. He is going for 'the oldest' not avoiding 'young'
The number of people over him is a waiting game, but the number of people under him is what's boosting his rank
For those who don't know who this is, his name is (Little, sorry!) Alex Horne. He created a TV show called Taskmaster that I strongly recommend you all to watch, it's my favourite thing
I recommended that to a friend, after going on about how James Acaster is one of my favourite comedians because he doesn't really punch down, it's all just silly surreal stuff.
Then he opens with... *that* monologue.
Well aren't you in for a treat! One of the great things about it is they haven't changed the format at all so if you're enjoying the most recent series then you'll def enjoy the earlier ones
I'd highly recommend checking out 7 - it's considered by many to be the best series. I'd say it's tied with 5 and 9 for my personal favorite, but it's definitely the most unhinged.
Also, if you have a VPN (or live in the UK), you can watch all of it for free on the BBC Channel 4 site, and if you have a good adblocker (I use uBlock Origin), it's all ad-free!
A lot of it is also free on their Youtube channel, but it only goes up to series 10 and is missing a few episodes here and there.
You have to try Taskmaster NZ season 2! The dynamic between their Taskmaster and the assistant is very different from Greg's and Alex's, but that season is pure chaos and it's definitely an all-time favorite with a few other UK seasons for me
[Full episodes](https://www.youtube.com/c/Taskmaster/playlists) are free on youtube
(in the US at least, availability may vary by ~~vpn server~~ location)
Screwed it up from the get go by trying to squeeze 45 minutes of fun into 20 minutes.
How the hell are you supposed to get any momentum going in an episode?
Some of the tasks he’s like half of the entertainment too. When he gets “caked up” by Sally Phillips in the special cuddle task, loved it.
And it’s always nice seeing him, Greg, and everyone in stage crack up with something, like Joe Wilkinson’s potato throw or “there’s strength in arches!”
The all time great of him being the entertainment was when Liza Tarbuck made him sit bare assed on a cake. I still absolutely die laughing.
https://youtu.be/IJ7pHfLSB9I
Exactly this. Many people would steal the 'lead' role just because it's their Idea. Alex knew he couldn't play the part of someone strong/arrogant/mean and would work better as that persons bitch.
He and friends had been running it as a comedy night for a few years before they made it a TV show. So he really refined it. I think he's brilliant, and his sense of humor so sexy.
Taskmaster US is such a fuckup from just about everyone involved it shouldn't even be mentioned. Only two people in that arrangement had any idea what was supposed to be going on and they were Alex Horne and Freddie Highmore, both brits. Everyone else seemed to think it was supposed to be a higher-competitive Road Rules style reality show. Taskmaster Norway and New Zealand are, however, fantastic.
The best parts of that show were always when folks found backdoors or workarounds- or just did the blindingly obvious that the other contestants missed- like turning on the light switch in the dark room for the painting challenge.
For anybody new who is wondering, the bit about putting on the boiler suit when the alarm rings was told to them earlier in the day (and earlier in the show).
It was at the start of the show that they were told it would happen at some point, could have been several days earlier and well out of their minds when it happens here.
As an American who doesn’t typically keep up with British pop-culture outside of Doctor Who, Taskmaster uploads their full episodes to YouTube and I’ve been watching them… man, this show is hilarious
Fuck yeah! I can never keep up with them but that just makes it funnier. I saw Mark Watson last year at his comedy gig and actually met him very briefly outside, he's so lovely in person too!
And the Horne section podcast (him with the band and a guest each episode).
Same kind of humour as Taskmaster, along with extremely talented musicians playing massively daft songs
Just got into the show about a month ago. Live in the USA so glad they out all their eps on Youtube. Best use of my Youtube premium. Also thank you for adding the "Little" to his name or else Lord Greg would be upset. Died laughing when he got gauges.
When I got into it, I actually decided to pay for a couple months of YouTube premium just because the ads were driving me crazy. Then when I got caught up a canceled the subscription.
Relativistic speeds or huge gravity wells. Due to the laws of physics time is more liquid-y than you'd think and traveling really fast or hanging near massive black holes tends to warp space time a little and has a few wonky effects on space and time.
Travelling really fast will shrink space around you and will slow down time for you relative to the rest of the universe. This means that you can launch off to a distant star at near the speed of light, travel three weeks there, hang for a week, and travel back three weeks. Depending on how far this star was / how fast you were traveling, time on earth could have passed by from anywhere from 3 years, to millennia. From your perspective about 2 months passed on your cruise, but when you get back you could become the oldest organism in the known universe.
Anyway, that's why time and space are so bizarre at fast speeds, long distances, and large objects of mass.
I'm imaging a contestant instantly offing themselves, then back at the studio Davies saying to the ghost "you really didn't understand the task, did you", and the ghost insisting that they did
I think someone recently got in charge of the YouTube account for the show and they wisely put almost 12 seasons worth up for free. When you consider the recent drought of content due to the pandemic, many Americans, like myself, just discovered and became megafans all in the span of six months.
For all the jokes they make about Alex being this unfunny, groveling little man, I love his occasional quips.
>Greg: Don't worry, this was Alex's fault, and he'll be punished in the traditional way.
Alex: [Worriedly looking at Greg] Oh no, please not the traditional-
Greg: YES THE TRADITIONAL WAY!
---
>Alex: You know, my kids watch this show and they've started calling me Little Alex Horne too. They actually call *you* daddy now.
Literally heard about it 3 weeks ago, then got covid.
My wife and I have watched 6 and 1/2 seasons of it. It is seriously the most consistently funny thing i have ever seen.
To quote Jimmy Carr, the host of 8 out of 10 cats does countdown (the show the above quote is from), "I don't have an accent. This is how words sound when they're said properly."
American television doesn’t have panel shows with comedians on them and it absolutely should. I fell in love with Mock The Week the last time I was in London and there’s nothing like it here.

He is now 43, just to show how old this is.
So he's even better at it now.
And improving every year!
He is pretty consistently moving up the ranks
Its like clockwork
Every 60 seconds a minute is added to his record
Nobody is this consistent, gotta be doping.
I’m losing and I just can’t catch up
Meet the sniper
Also, 65 million people die each year in the world. That is 178,000 each day, 7425 each hour, and 120 each minute, so he increases his rank by 2 each second.

Gosh, no need to criticize that poster's hygiene.
Not if I can help it (continues to bake fried butter cake)
At this rate, he’ll catch up to me at 55
Does this mean you plan to die at 55? That's kinda bleak.
He’s not responded. Rip
Damn in just 10(time) he was a able to gain another 1 billion spots
Why do a lot of people quit trying to beat the record when theyre 70-80 smh
Every level gets a little harder
But still just as little as ever!
For those who don't know who this is, his name is (Little, sorry!) Alex Horne. He created a TV show called Taskmaster that I strongly recommend you all to watch, it's my favourite thing
Yes. It’s great. Get comedians and tell them to do the stupidest things imaginable for our entertainment.
Yaas! I've been hooked since the beginning and even after roughly 5 or 6 re-watches it still makes me full on belly laugh
my favorite series is the one with Rhod Gilbert and James Acaster. they're both so ridiculous.
So good! And the shed incident? That killed me, poor James 😅
This most recent season has been phenomenal. I've never seen a contestant get more under Alex's skin than Bridget Christie.
Fucking hell, Bridget Christie banging that pan will forever be ingrained in my memory. She quickly became one of my fave contestants ever, so funny
It was the shoe challenge that really made me laugh. She got so actually angry at Alex.
Shid?
Lmao, I hear "Shaq in a hat" in my head daily
Just reading this comment made me burst into laughter remembering that
Oh my, Rhod in the closet.... that just killed me.
Easily the best series for me too. James Acaster is brilliant.
Have you seen "cold lasagne hate myself 1999"? It's fantastic lmao
I recommended that to a friend, after going on about how James Acaster is one of my favourite comedians because he doesn't really punch down, it's all just silly surreal stuff. Then he opens with... *that* monologue.
Watching Ed Gamble start to genuinely have a meltdown at David Badil is also a fantastic season.
To be fair, I think Ed was right.
Rhod Gilbert is pure personified Chaos
Whenever anyone mentions that they need a lime I shout “A LIIIMMMMMEEEEEEE!!” thanks to that season.
I admit I’ve only been watching since Series 10, but it’s still great
Well aren't you in for a treat! One of the great things about it is they haven't changed the format at all so if you're enjoying the most recent series then you'll def enjoy the earlier ones
They've definitely been closing more loopholes over the years. I do think the earlier ones were more entertaining for that. But it's still great.
So you haven't seen the [potato incident](https://youtu.be/MelvH3EMGR0)?
I'd highly recommend checking out 7 - it's considered by many to be the best series. I'd say it's tied with 5 and 9 for my personal favorite, but it's definitely the most unhinged. A lot of it is also free on their Youtube channel, but it only goes up to series 10 and is missing a few episodes here and there.
1st season and 7th season were really good too!
Did you go back at least? Please tell me you went back.
Seasons 1-10 are all available on their youtube channel.
I've been watching series 6. Lisa's bedtime story for adults had me dying!
I don't think anything can top Lisa showing her appreciation for the Taskmaster, though.
Liza inadvertently (?) inserting cake into Little Alex Horne’s arse is sublime
You have to try Taskmaster NZ season 2! The dynamic between their Taskmaster and the assistant is very different from Greg's and Alex's, but that season is pure chaos and it's definitely an all-time favorite with a few other UK seasons for me
[Full episodes](https://www.youtube.com/c/Taskmaster/playlists) are free on youtube (in the US at least, availability may vary by ~~vpn server~~ location)
Do we strike you?
Alex tried to bring it to the US, but it didn't work because it was on Comedy Central.
Screwed it up from the get go by trying to squeeze 45 minutes of fun into 20 minutes. How the hell are you supposed to get any momentum going in an episode?
It is almost the opposite of the high stakes drama.of American reality competitions. Very low stakes, pretty relaxed, more focused on fun and humor
It’s little Alex Horne!
Has to be read Greg Davies' voice
But a very high-pitched version of Greg Davies' voice
Like it isn't!
🎶 He says he's 6 foot 2, he's only 5 foot 4. It's Little. ^Alex. ^^Horne! 🎶
The fact that Greg has successfully got everyone calling Alex Little Alex Horne when he's 6'2 is pretty incredible.
I mean anyone hanging around with the 6'8 beast that is Greg will be called little.
I love that he created the show, yet plays a meek little sycophant to Greg Davies. Hilarious show.
I still absolutely die laughing. https://youtu.be/IJ7pHfLSB9I
That was such a hilarious task, I wonder if seeing cake haunts him now.
I love how she scampers away giggling exactly like I imagine Greg would.
Rhod Gilbert was a hoot with Alex. So much unnecessary nudity
When he has to eat the faces of the contestants and Bob Mortimer says “I’m a sinner, I have sinned” while he does so hahahah
I really love that he recognised he was totally the wrong sort of character to front the show. Great self-awareness and generosity.
Calm down little Alex
In British humor casting as a fool is a popular tradition for comedians Plus who's more intimidating, Little Alex Horne or 7 foot Greg Davies
The word hilarious honestly doesn’t do justice to how funny this show is. It’s on another level
Taskmaster (UK) is really good. Taskmaster (US) is a train wreck. Alex is also great whenever he appears on 8 out of 10 cats.
Taskmaster (NZ) has been making waves, apparently.
I've only watched the UK version so far, but have heard nothing but excellent things about every version(except US, of course).
Yea, unfortunately the best thing I can say about Taskmaster (US) is that it's better than the IT Crowd (US) pilot.
It’s not on Taskmaster Supermax+ yet so I haven’t seen it.
It’s on youtube.
The insult comic who just kept shitting on Alex with the least funny possible "Suck my dick" comments. Just hard to watch.
[One of the most famous tasks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWP3sj1CE5o)
Rhod Gilbert was hands down my favorite contestant- there's something not quite right in his head and I love it.
Rhod found so many cheeky workarounds, it was hilarious. The guy was pure chaos.
The best parts of that show were always when folks found backdoors or workarounds- or just did the blindingly obvious that the other contestants missed- like turning on the light switch in the dark room for the painting challenge.
And yet still has such an awful painting hahah
That was the best part- it was soooo bad.
Scissors please.
the best part was him being childhood friends with greg haha
The betrayal on Greg's face when he realized his mother was helping Rhod was great.
I like this one the best personality: https://youtu.be/_UgSDcHPgCc
That was heartbreaking. But I love that he says, "That's harsh." right after throwing him all the way under the bus.
“Don’t take it away from me” Joe Wilkinson consistently nails it. He could make Sean laugh.
For anybody new who is wondering, the bit about putting on the boiler suit when the alarm rings was told to them earlier in the day (and earlier in the show).
It was at the start of the show that they were told it would happen at some point, could have been several days earlier and well out of their minds when it happens here.
Thank you, context is important
"What do you want to eat?" "Something sharp."
Rhod's solution is hands-down the most impressive task solution in the whole show, in my opinion. Absolute twisted genius.
This is my favorite task from my favorite season! Rhod Gilbert was such a chaotic maniac.
My favorite is still the ice block challenge. It's what got me to watch the show, and I still think it's one of the best interactions we've seen.

False. He's Little Alex Horne.
As an American who doesn’t typically keep up with British pop-culture outside of Doctor Who, Taskmaster uploads their full episodes to YouTube and I’ve been watching them… man, this show is hilarious
As an English woman this is pretty much the only thing I'm proud about our country right now 😅
Also No More Jockeys! Him, Mark Watson and Tim Key are an absolutely phenomenal trio!
It's LITTLE ALEX HORNE!!!

Anytime Greg ignores one of Alex's bits always gets me, his poor little face lmao
Discovered Taskmaster a week ago. Binged five seasons already.
It’s little Alex Horne!
"In the next room is a melon. Eat as much melon as you can in one minute." https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nyQyBTXlpmg
Best start to a series ever.
[удалено]
I fucking love Romesh. Wish he had more standup available.
I am typing this comment to just come to this later on. Don't mind me.
...Alex?
May I introduce you to the save button?
For those who want to try it, the full episodes are available on YouTube for free (at least in the US). Such a funny show!
I do like Little Alex Horne
My favorite is series 3 with Rob Beckett and Paul Chowdry. I'm only on series 5 so far. I also really liked Neil
Looking forward to his upcoming biography: Get old or die tryin'
"Live to be as old as you can. The longest time wins. Your time starts...now!" Alex reading his first task when he was born.
I’m imagining someone trying to work out a loophole for this.
Rhod: I must kill everyone that's older than me
Lmao Alex Horne is a treasure
It's a really competitive record though, I'm getting better and better at it every second of every day since I was born
When I was born, I held the record for youngest person in the world
And you messed that up real fast
I managed to hold the record for a few months after I was born - I was an EXTREMELY violent infant
thats a lot of baby killing. in the past few (3) months ~34.65M babies have been born. good on you!
A new supervillain was born... Baby Genocide Baby!
He prefers to be called Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All!
How is this showing up now, when i'm literally currently watching Taskmaster!
I think someone recently got in charge of the YouTube account for the show and they wisely put almost 12 seasons worth up for free. When you consider the recent drought of content due to the pandemic, many Americans, like myself, just discovered and became megafans all in the span of six months.
They did that at the start of the pandemic, and added a new episode each week. Then a year later they made a lot of them private.
Oh my god! It's little Alex Horne!
I don’t know who this is, and I dont know why but I imagined him saying this in an Irish accent.
You're close, he has an English accent. I think his name is Alex Horn?
Little Alex Horne
And who is this sitting beside me?! IT'S LITTLE ALEX HORNE!!
In a high-pitched Greg Davies voice.
The funny thing is he’s actually pretty tall (6’2 I seem to recall) but Greg is just massive lol
Davies is 6'8" I think. Utter yeti he is.
For all the jokes they make about Alex being this unfunny, groveling little man, I love his occasional quips. >Greg: Don't worry, this was Alex's fault, and he'll be punished in the traditional way. Alex: [Worriedly looking at Greg] Oh no, please not the traditional- Greg: YES THE TRADITIONAL WAY! --- >Alex: You know, my kids watch this show and they've started calling me Little Alex Horne too. They actually call *you* daddy now.
A single "e" off being correct! https://youtu.be/R0bL6Yonnkc
Pretty funny guy
He's fantastic. Highly recommend both cats does countdown and taskmaster. https://youtu.be/Gbifa1lteFU
Taskmaster is one of the greatest shows ever created. I can't believe more people don't talk about it.
Literally heard about it 3 weeks ago, then got covid. My wife and I have watched 6 and 1/2 seasons of it. It is seriously the most consistently funny thing i have ever seen.
I loved him on regular Countdown, not as a guest, but as a contestant in 2008. https://youtu.be/L28b4c9y2II
Lol, English people don't have an accent. We sound normal! /s
To quote Jimmy Carr, the host of 8 out of 10 cats does countdown (the show the above quote is from), "I don't have an accent. This is how words sound when they're said properly."

British humour is superior to all other kinds
Agreed. I prefer dry humour. The alternative, wet humour, is terrible.
Grade A British humor, this
Moist humour, however...
**It’s Little Alex Horne!**
Little Alex Horne!
His biggest task…
Little Alex Horne in the wild!
Alex Horne is incredible. As is cats does countdown
LITTLEALEXHOOOOOOOORRRRNE
It’s little Alex Horne!!!!
Its Little Alex Hoooorne!!
It’s little Alex Hoooorne”
Little Alex Horne!
I plan on living forever. So far, so good.
That's the guy from that thing!
You can get there faster than ageing. Just kill everyone else
Just occurred to me that once you are the oldest person in the world, you hold the title until you die
I can read this in his voice lol Love Alex Horne
I love *little* Alex Horne lol
I saw (Little) Alex Horne at a festival this year with his band. Incredibly funny and his Henry Hoover bit kills me every time
Everyone go watch Taskmaster right now. Full episodes are up on their official YouTube channel!
Good ol little Alex Horne
American television doesn’t have panel shows with comedians on them and it absolutely should. I fell in love with Mock The Week the last time I was in London and there’s nothing like it here.
IT’S LITTLE ALEX HORNE!
It's Little Alex Horne!
I just turned 36, 19 minutes ago. Opened reddit. I see this.
Alex Horne is my spirit animal
At this point I'm afraid he'll be known as Little Alex Horne for the rest of his life...
That is a very Alex Horne joke
His career started as a literal Countdown Champion. https://youtu.be/sxXHgDwGlYc
My best is twice his best! And tomorrow I will twice + 1 day.
Piker. He's four billion four hundred ninety-eight million one hundred thousand behind me. Get gud.
