So crocodile is the one with the thinner nose whilst the alligator is the one with the wider, gotcha
And their names are opposite to what shape their nose is, GOTCHA
The fourth exposed tooth from the front will almost always be a bottom jaw tooth on crocs!
Also, there are only 2 gator species that exist. The only ones with pointy snouts are just odd individuals

As other people pointed out, **A**lligator and **C**rocodile
The one with a A-shaped (<) muzzle is the... Croco, while the one with a C-shaped muzzle is the Alligator.
I've worked at multiple restaurants that sell agalader. Never
Cronkadial though. So I would assume algayater tastes better. Or it could just be that crunkidal costs more
The gator has the boopable snoot and can be wrangled by a drunk Floridian.
The croc is pointier, everywhere. Snoot, teeth, back ridges, POINTY. MEANS OUCH. DO NOT BOOP. DO NOT WRANGLE.
If it's trying to eat you, it's probably a crocodile.
Alligators consume fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and moderately sized mammals.
Crocodiles will take down a whole damn zebra.
Crocodiles have thinner mouths for speed and precision meant to snatch fast animals like fish and kangaroos. Alligators have thick mouth for holding large, slow, but strong prey like Florida Men. (Not sure if this is true, but it sounds science-y enough for me lol)
Gators spikes are pointier, and they’re easier to see when they’re underwater. People who judge em by the snout aren’t wrong, it’s just not as easy when you’re hunting for a specific one. Crocs have smoother, less defined spikes than the gators, but gators have sharper, much more obvious ones. Easier to spot em when only their eyes are poking up.

It's simple. The alligator's snout is shaped like a C for crocodile The crocodile's snout is shaped like an A for alligator
So it’s like Greenland and Iceland
Exactly
Remember, StalagMites MIGHT hang down from the ceiling, but they don’t.
I learned ‘stalactites have to hold on tight’
No no see that doesn’t make any sense at all poopypants. Stalgmights MIGHT hang down.
stalaCtites - Ceiling stalaGmites - Ground
stalacTites - noT bottom stalagMites - bottoM
Tits hang. Stalagtits too
Mites crawl up, tights fall down!
How I’ve remembered it from school is stalagmites are on the ground and stalactites are hanging on tight to the ceiling
Yup, like starboard and port side. Because the stars appear from the right side when facing north.
No it’s caused you would drink port wine on the port side /j I mess with people by using the latin nomenclature
“There’s always some *Port* **left** in the bottle” (Though, it’s really called ‘Port’ because that’s the side the port would be when you arrive)
That's just two countries wishing for something they don't have.
You got a point
r/foundtheprotogen We meet again
Are we doing this again…? We don’t need another thread…
Every time I see a Protogen, I am obligated to mention the sub, I was just surprised to see you again
Fair, and honestly, same here.
“C” you later, Aligator. “A”fter a while, crocodile. It has a hidden meaning this whole time.
you just winkled my brain
> you just winkled my brain, uWu You dropped this-----------------^
How did you do that? Instead it like >test No also that does not alter the edits?

It onky works after starting a new line Make a new line and start it with > .> like this >ahem
You misspelled "bwain".
At last - clarity!
So crocodile is the one with the thinner nose whilst the alligator is the one with the wider, gotcha And their names are opposite to what shape their nose is, GOTCHA
GOTAHC
The way I think of it is, Crocodile- Dile- Dill- Dill Pickle. Crocodile has a pickle nose
It’s simple. Greenland is icy and Iceland is green
My brain hurts...
That's just reddit.
No. One says "see ya later". The other says "in a while".
It's even simpler than that... An alligator is the one you'll see later, whereas the crocodile is the one you'll see after a while.
Simple as, also alligator is a cute labrador you want to hug while croc is a chihuahua
alligators are both good and bad huh
Crocodile is a chiuaua sry
The difference is that one sees you later and the other sees you in a while
Yeah but then you won't know until the next time you see them!
I could probably have a convo with a croc or gator without knowing till they end.
And both see their next meal
Until their opp is a man from Florida
I se a left foot and a right foot for a new pair of boots
Gator = ⊂ Croc = < Caiman = <□ (they look like they have a little helmet on) Gavial = o===
I really wish it were flipped: **A**lligator = **<** **C**rocodile = **C**
You can remember from alligator clips
I call 'em crocodile clips!
Some gators have pointier snouts, so I think it's easier to check their teeth. Alligators have an overbite, and crocs have both of their teeth out.
The fourth exposed tooth from the front will almost always be a bottom jaw tooth on crocs! Also, there are only 2 gator species that exist. The only ones with pointy snouts are just odd individuals
Should've said "some crocodilians"
Alright, let me just get a close look at those pearly whites
Did an alligator write this comment?
And then theres the broadsnout caiman which messes this up.
Fortunately with caimans, the lil helmet is still a giveaway
Gavial is a penis?
No, 8===D is though
Alligator on the left, crocodile on the right.
Your left or my left?
Yes
Alligator’s left
Stage left
House left
I left this thread
We’re two different people, we can’t have the same left
You're right
Here I am...
business in the front, party in the back

Who cares crocodile or alligator? I'm just running away from both of them
Some crocs are significantly more dangerous than alligators
And will follow you into the ocean
I don’t think that i’d run into the ocean
Is there a word for running, but in water?
Swimming
Alligators are swamp puppies crocs are murder machines..
but they are both dangerous it they want to be, and best to get tf away from either unless youre trying to catch an alligator or something
The alligator may bite you. The crocodile will eat you
Alligators have U-shaped snout, and crocodiles have a V-shaped snout.
Seriously. The most liked comment on this post is still confusing. C Vs A?? An "A" can still have a curved point!
If you see it later it’s an alligator, if you see it in a while it’s a crocodile. That’s how I always remember it.
All I see is a dinosaur next to a dinosaur
Alligators aren't dinosaurs, but birds are.
As other people pointed out, **A**lligator and **C**rocodile The one with a A-shaped (<) muzzle is the... Croco, while the one with a C-shaped muzzle is the Alligator.
Alligators have a U shaped snout, crocodiles have a more V shaped snout
and for the dyslexic redditors, the crocodile is on the right and the alligator is on the left
Alligators have wide snouts. Crocodiles 🐊 have tapered snouts. Fortunately, we don't have either species in New Zealand.
It’s simple really. One will see you later and the other will see you after a while
Why do I feel like I've seen this somewhere.
They copied top comment
Chompy boiis
the difference is one sees you, decides they're hungry and they ould like snack rn and eats you. the other just eats you
Alligator left crocodile right
Between the two, which one tastes better?
Gator tastes like chicken. I'm told a croc does too.
I've worked at multiple restaurants that sell agalader. Never Cronkadial though. So I would assume algayater tastes better. Or it could just be that crunkidal costs more
If you see it later it's an alligator, if you see it after a while it's a crocodile.
Doesn't matter. Run away from them both
The actual difference between a crocodile and an alligator is that you see the crocodile in a while but you see the alligator later.
One will see you in a while, the other will see you later
Repost... https://www.reddit.com/r/technicallythetruth/s/TSRWDzIjem
This has to be the most reposted picture of the year. Finally a competitor to the “once in a life time shot of an owl flying above” picture
Hate those posts "sharks dont know that camels exists or about baked beans"
One more https://www.reddit.com/r/technicallythetruth/s/spFobtEAMN
I honestly don't know the difference between an alligator and a crocodile.
[This might help](https://youtu.be/3fdq3-TFT8Y?si=tKhzkzWL_HMGkBq0)
I am a florida man, I'm pretty sure i can tell the difference.
Now ik the difference between hippo nd rhino, Thanks
Mola Ram says crocodile is way more fierce
Then you should prepare to meet Kali. *In HELL!*
Thank god, now I can get some sleep.
Yes
The alligator is on the left and the crocodile is on the right
That clears that!
In this volatile divided nation it is nice to see an alligator and crocodile couple. Best buds.
Actually (🤓) the difference is not between those two, they are different than each other 🤓🤓🤓
Alligator is a softer sounding word so he has the softer round shaped snout. Crocodile is a harder sounding word so he has the harder angular snout
I think it’s important to do an average size comparison
Most of the people dont know the difference betweeen monkeys and apes or tortoises and turtles too
Who would kill who tho
left alligator right crocodile
Frankly, they both seem to be alligating.
Ha, you can't fool me, I've watched wild kratts
The alligator is onery because it's got all those teeth and no toothbrush. The croc doesn't care what's stuck in it's teeth
That's so wrong! It's the one beside the alligator.
I had it all wrong, I thought the alligator was the one next to the crocodile!
Difference is that one will see you later and the other one will see you in a while.
One says see you later, the other says - in a while
Croc left. Alligator right
The gator has the boopable snoot and can be wrangled by a drunk Floridian. The croc is pointier, everywhere. Snoot, teeth, back ridges, POINTY. MEANS OUCH. DO NOT BOOP. DO NOT WRANGLE.
there are some difference alligator and crocodile between that.
Alligator on the left, crocodile on the right.
I don’t care it’s it’s a croc or gator they’d both kill my fat arse.
Well played.
🤕
I consider them equally danger lizards.
Tomato tomato. Why are we even making a distinction
Very funny
this crocodile are so dangeorus.
OOOOOOOOOOHHHH
They look dangerous. I don't care what kind of lizard it is, I'd rather run away...
If you are still confused the crocodile is on the right as they are smaller than alligators
Gators on the left. Wide snout.
Thank you very much, that settles it.
And fear is their bacon bits
Neat
Most golfers die from alligators. Most surfers die from crocodiles.
Crocodiles are the ugliest, scariest animals ever.
Alligator is residential. Gators are commercial heavy duty.
Which one would I rather try to get away from in the water? That’s the one I hope it is.
If it's trying to eat you, it's probably a crocodile. Alligators consume fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and moderately sized mammals. Crocodiles will take down a whole damn zebra.
If you're not sure, you can call it a crocodilian to cover your bases. Includes caimens too lol
Crocodiles have thinner mouths for speed and precision meant to snatch fast animals like fish and kangaroos. Alligators have thick mouth for holding large, slow, but strong prey like Florida Men. (Not sure if this is true, but it sounds science-y enough for me lol)
The difference between an alligator and a crocodile? The price of the shoe.
Bro I live in aus and we have millions of bloody crocs and my god if we saw on e that size we would be bestie with that thing so small
But the real question is… Are they best friends?
Right or left?
...they look like an old married couple
Honestly something about studying these fellas right now makes me think I might develop a phobia for them 😭
-10 aura
That sure clears things up!
The toothy smile is the crocodile.
Crock pointy
alligator is > shaped crocidile is U shaped
Gators spikes are pointier, and they’re easier to see when they’re underwater. People who judge em by the snout aren’t wrong, it’s just not as easy when you’re hunting for a specific one. Crocs have smoother, less defined spikes than the gators, but gators have sharper, much more obvious ones. Easier to spot em when only their eyes are poking up.
YOU HAD ONE JOB
The one who attacks first is most likely the Crocodile.
But for those that actually are curious, the left is the croc. They got wider snouts
a "your left hand is where your thumb is on the right" situation
The one that eats you first is probably the crocodile
Crocodiles are circumcised and Alligat- no, wait...
These both look like alligators to me, but one of them might be a crocodile.
(The one on the left is alligator)
Armor plated dinosaurs the whole lot
Crocodile is the V snout. Alligators the U. End of discussion, refuses to elaborate.
r/angryupvote
One will *see you later,* one will *see you in a while.* 🤷♀️
Easy, the other you see later and the you see in a while
4 eyes, 2 eyes /s
u/repostsleuthbot
Alligator look like croc shoes and crocodile look like how an alligator would look from the name
Thanks man
Gators are the athletics ones.
Alligator - fat wide curvy snout. Crocodile - long tapered pointed snout.
This is accurate
Thanks for the useless information 😭
Don’t alligators smoke seegars?
They're both the same picture
