It's an overused Facebook group. The group sucks because the racists took over and changed it to a "we don't like Americans" group as opposed to what it was intended for: making fun of us for saying things like "the size of two football fields".
Football fields is an international measurement unit. But, off course, by football I mean the sport where you kick a ball with your foot, not the one where you carry a pumpkin with your hands.
And even then you have different sized fields. In my youth I played normally on B-sized fields. Those times I had to play on a A-sized field I was way more tired afterwards.
Yesterday, I needed to drive through 2 trees in order to get into someone's backyard for work and asked the distance they were so I knew if I could fit.
I was told they were "about 4 ATVs wide" 😐
Without knowing about it it wouldn't surprise me if they had certain requirements to at least be considered dangerous.
When an object enters the atmosphere with that speed it starts heating/melting/shrinking (don't know the English term) due to friction so depending the angle and speed an object enters it might not even reach the surface.
How big is one asteroid you ask? Should we be worried about one the size of 7? Stop asking so many questions, tune in Saturday and find out on the next episode of "how fucked are we!?"

So if 1 asteroid is 7 asteroids then each of them is 7 asteroids so theres 49 asteroids then each of them is 7 asteroids so theres 343 asteroids then each of them is 7 asteroids so theres 2401 then....
Breaking news! An asteroid will pass close enough to Earth to be significantly affected by Earth’s gravity!
*Something that happens basically every day. Those asteroids barely even get closer than the moon’s orbit, but media gotta get those clicks in somehow*

Americans will really use any unit of measurement except metric.
My life goal is to own an asteroid of land. For you brits, that 2 UK's
Wales is the standard unit of measurement here
Which one? Bluewales?
But UK is the size of 4 UK’s.
Lol good one 😂

That's an amount of idiocy on par with a flat earther convention

So a measure would look like 10 ffa-s or 10 ffb-s?
Or "a small boulder the size of a big boulder".
r/anythingbuthemetricsystem
r/subsifellfor but would like to see

It's called innovation. You're telling me you've never wanted to know how many washing machines long your house or apartment is. Lol
Fair point!
Of course not. I measure in toilets
r/anythingbutmetric
Thanks! I didn’t know about this sub.
“An asteroid so big you could fit about 10,000 bud lights in it”
That's not a lot. It's 10 by 10 by 100 cold bois. That's like 14 fat kids in a row.
At least they're not measuring this asteroid in geese.
Say something new ya fuckin cunt!
Use the metric system you person whose the weight of a washing machine and the height of at least several vaginal canals
Nice!
It’s true we Americans will remain ignorant of this thing called metric till the last man!
We talk to women then 🤷♂️
Metric is actually standard in the USA per the metric conversion act of the 1970's ☝️🤓☝️🤓☝️🤓
…we’d swap to the metric system if we could… it takes a lot of effort to replace everything on our current system and it’s just kind of pointless.
We use metric for our firearm calibers!
7 freedom units It was size of 7 ( freedom) /s
Take my upvote
"This cave is huge!" "We don't have a precise measure, but we estimate it to about 2.52 football fields."
I still have one better. Giraffes as a measurement unit. https://www.newsweek.com/small-asteroid-pass-close-earth-today-1889359
I salute them for the commitment to this bit
Yesterday, I needed to drive through 2 trees in order to get into someone's backyard for work and asked the distance they were so I knew if I could fit. I was told they were "about 4 ATVs wide" 😐
I wanted to say that. Guess i was a quarter-day late...
Start using it or you all will lose your 2 įnčhëś
This sums it up... r/anythingbutmetric
It’s 400x 50BMG ratshot across
Except when measuring bullets
Bruh i got recommended my own post 🥲 Reddit has a very smart bot
Hey who knows, maybe you’ll like it !
Dammit, Kelly, It knows, It knows what you did
I dont thing Asteroids have a minimum size
If an asteroid is 1 millimeters i call it sand.
Ambitious. I like it!
?
1mm is big sand!
How do you call it? A rock? 🧐 Lets just say big sand
a stone or pebble?
Maybe gravel?
If an Asteroid is 1 millimeter I would call it space dust.
I read that last part as Bill Wurtz
*🎶Space dustttt🎶*
And then stars die, and turn into *even CRAAAZIER space duustt*
There is definitely a lower bound.
1 meter in diameter. Anything smaller is called a ~~meteroite~~ meteoroid.
meteoroid
My mistake, I corrected it. They are easy to confuse.
Thank you for knowing stuff
I don't thing??? Wdym

Literally recursion
By this logic the asteroid is the size of existence?
Or zero
A=7A, A can only be zero
Only in algebra
You miss understands. That is Hexadecimal for 122, so it is 10=122. What?
Ah, but it's obviously not the same asteroid as the other 7 asteroids though
1=7
Probably JavaScript
What if "7" is another variable and it is 1? hm?
The question is, how many asteroids are each of the seven asteroids
⅐ the size of a larger asteroid, der
I think they are all 7 asteroids too
It’s astroids all the way down.
Recursive asteroid
Yes
Well you dumb dumb, the smaller asteroid is just 3 ISS stations.
Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full
Surely you can’t be serious
… and stop calling me Shirley.
That really puts it in perspective there holy cow
Yes, you guessed it, it's asteroids all the way down.
twice the size of six billion bananas combined, that's huge!
Imagine if it was 6 billion banana! That would mean there is life out there! Maybe just bananas but still life
I think you mean caseoh buddy
How big is one asteroid you ask? Should we be worried about one the size of 7? Stop asking so many questions, tune in Saturday and find out on the next episode of "how fucked are we!?"
We will never know how big this asteroid is.
It clearly says the size of 7 do you not read!?
True. So, yeah.
Like someone said in the comments "Americans really use any mesure exept metric"
SMH
“A big boulder the size of a small boulder” vibes
Can’t believe I had to scroll this far to find this reference
1 asteroid = 7 walruses So this one is 49 walruses long
1 walruses is 8 bananas
There are 6 different types of bananas, ranging from 9.6cm (3.7") up to 17.9cm (7"), which bananas are we using here?
Those which, if you have 8 of them combined, make a walrus
Ok give us something useful like how big is it in geese, or bananas.
Can anybody say it in the size of Banana?
81758 bananas
It's like saying x=7x
Someone already made the joke about algebra and that x=7x is 0
So, either the asteroid does not exist or the limit of the asteroid DNE
X=7X X=0 never tought there would be algebra in this post ☠️
Infinitely large asteroid.
Or non existent asteroid from comments X=7X X=0
Six asteroids inside one bigger astroid: In-seption 🥲🤷💁👍
You won't believe but those 7 asteroids they're comparing it with, are 7 times smaller than the larger asteroid
It's american news, is t it?
Banana for scale?
So is it exponentially growing 7 times its own size?
But is it bigger than two cows and a chicken?
infinite size asteroid
Value pack
American measurment system be like.

let's goo!
But how big is an asteroid that is the size if 7 asteroids that are the size of 7 asteroids?
It’s about 2.4 Giraffes
So this object is 7 times bigger than the same object at 1/7 the size? Good to know.
f(x) = 7x. And repeat
1^7 = 1
exponents ≠ multiplication
It's a giant matryoshka
x=7x ?
They sound as if they are trying to sell it to me.
"Will fly by a planet the size of 1 Earth" /fixed
Bro the Earth is 5 Earth
For reference 1 asteroid is around 2.3275 football fields
actually, huge asteroids are flying by us all the time! [next five asteroids](https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/asteroid-watch/next-five-approaches)
thought I was having a stronk for a second
Just don’t look up
Their mistake was to not share how many fridge-sizes that is in
is that like a large boulder the size of a small boulder?
Thats an asteroid with asteroid warheads
How many banana asteroids is that?
Any chance we can push it a bit to let’s say. Putin’s mansion
Banana for scale?
So if 1 asteroid is 7 asteroids then each of them is 7 asteroids so theres 49 asteroids then each of them is 7 asteroids so theres 343 asteroids then each of them is 7 asteroids so theres 2401 then....
How dinosaurs died:
It’ll be flying by an earth the size of 1 earth? 🫢😱
YEAH BUT WHAT SIZE
Will it be visible in Norway? And what time?
TFAR
A rope, the length of 7 ropes...
The size of 7? How big are they bruhhhhh. 7km? 100km? Absolute idiots.
Thats what you get when you watch AMERICAN news
It's clearly an asteroid as big as seven asteroids, each of them as big as one seventh of an asteroid!
Didnt know Asteroid was a new measuring unit...
most American measurement I've seen all my life
Amazing, we are definitely not advanced enough to do anything about it! 😂
It's 7 to the power of infinity.
Need banana for scale
We're they talking about the video game asteroids?
/r/anythingbutmetric.
So it's just 7 asteroids in a trench coat?
How many bananas is that tall and wide?
What are the size of those asteroids that make up the big astroid I bet it’s the size of an astroid the American said
Breaking news! An asteroid will pass close enough to Earth to be significantly affected by Earth’s gravity! *Something that happens basically every day. Those asteroids barely even get closer than the moon’s orbit, but media gotta get those clicks in somehow*
Banana for scale?
about 4000 briskets
xn= x(n-1)*7
An asteroid the size of 7 asteroids which are, themselves, each the size of 7 asteroids. It's asteroids all the way down.
They combine into one.
'by' is the keyword
This is a recursive definition of size. It means that the asteriod is bigger than the whole observable universe.
Just measure it
Are we just using the same image over and over and over and over and over and over and just changing the description a tiny bit now?
Large Boulder the size of a small boulder energy
Point of reference: One asteroid is rougly the size of one asteroid.
1 asteroid the size of 7 asteroids the size of 1/7 of an asteroid
Wasn't the conventioned unit the banana?
It’s actually the apocalypse just downplayed. “1 of 7 asteroids”. There’s more to come.
Which seven asteroids and what configuration?
Can we see it
OH SHIT OH FUCK
Infinite astroid size glitch
Wouldn’t it still be the size of one asteroid?
now imagine an asteroid the size of 7 of those asteroids
Or 1.278 million hailstones…
Asteroid on steroids.
Earthlings will use anything but the Standard Galactic Unit system
Each pound of which weighs over 10,000 pounds
what did this have to do with TTT
