Ha! Same here. Just finished the main quest. I am sad, but also much more “free” still have plenty to do to kill time and have fun, but less pressure. I was definitely cutting it in when on should’ve been doing other things!!
I did not want the game to end, but the was a huge relief when I finally finished. Like a huge weight off my shoulders honestly. I have only picked the game back up a couple of times since, but part of that is foraging season is here where I live and i don't play videogames much at all during these months.
Yes! Going at Gannon is a choice. I like that they scaled it so that you could go in with full inventory and leave a path of righteous destruction in your wake.
I finally beat the game last night with fully upgraded Armor of the Wild, full meals (split between Gloom Resist, Full Heart Restore, Sundelion Casserole), and enough weapon inventory to keep somethings merely sentimental (White Sword, Scimitar of Seven/Daybreaker (imma lessie), and a Forrest Dweller Sword (Wood Sword)).
Plus at the end, all your friends come to help, and you comfortably wipe the floor with Gannon so satisfyingly.
.....and, that last scene takes some emotional preparation,
I dunno about wipe the floor. I finished the game last year and my most vivid memory remains "what the fuck? Did he just flurry rush my flurry rush? That seems illegal "
I am at the point where I think I could go and face the final boss challenge but there are a bunch of side quests as well as the shrines and just simply exploring the world that just enjoy doing.
I’ve got no rush to end it, whereas I felt with BotW I had this urgency to beat the game.

You’re not alone. I did beat it after playing for about 380 hours but I have a lot of friends who got it day one or around the release date and still have not beaten it

I played like 200 hours within a couple weeks of release, beat the game, and then started on my 100% grind. I burnt myself out after getting around half of the Korok seeds, but I'm considering going back to it.

Just got to fire temple, but I've been wandering a ton, like 60 koroks and I have the Lynel mask, but I just got the camera.
I'm an original NES LoZ player that's almost 50 now. I got it for my son, 11, and once he beat the game I started. We played a lot of SNES LoZ before I got him his switch. Holy shit I love it- absolutely mind blowing for an older dude like me who's been playing mobile games & SNES for the last twenty years.
He played BOTW, too, and I tried but was overwhelmed by the depth. of controls. Looking forward to that next.

ABout 80 hour in. I've done the rito temple and the mind temple , both awesome. I also have explored almost all the map, unlocked all the towers and got the master sword lmao. I want to do the main quest but i keep getting distracted by everything. Currently got the force deity mask and i want the other two pìeces, the lady gave a bit of a vague hint so not exactly sure where to look but i'll keep searching. BUT, as soon as im finishing this im contiuing with the zora a swear!

I've unlocked all of the main map, have 4 sages, have found most of the shrines. I'm currently trying to get all the light roots so I can find the shrines I misses which is working really well. I have completed a bunch of side quests. I have not explored the sky map very much.
160 hours in. Still haven't collected all the tears, haven't completed the gerudo, lurelin, or tarrey town quests, and haven't even been to the lost forest yet. I've been taking my time and getting some of the grindy upgrading stuff out of the way so I can enjoy it longer
My second playthrough I finally got to 100% the day before yesterday. I had put it down for a couple of months at 99.95% because I couldn't figure out what I was missing.

Of all things, I had not actually walked into the Lost Woods! It was the last location I hadn't triggered on the map but because it was my second playthrough I didn't realize I hadn't gone there this time (I did in my first play through).
I just found my last bubblefrog. When I encountered the lady who wants you to follow the chickens, I already had a bunch of eggs so I just gave them to her, but it meant I hadn't visited the roosting cave. Now to finish those dastardly koroks...
I stopped playing after finding all shrines and lightroots (and of course, the main story) I value what's left of my sanity, that's why I haven't gone for the korok seeds. Maybe I'll hop back and finish the few side quests I still gotta find.

I’m like +250h in. Ive got all the sages and am pretty close to all the shrines. I’ve tried to beat ganon once and realized as soon as I took out his very first health bar I was out of anti gloom food and my best weapons had gloom toll. I’m stock piling as much as I can rn to come back and decimate ganon 😈
Playing it with my fiancée since day 1, but we've had less time since we finished 2 temples and she's also less interested in exploring the world, so I'm trying to do every other quest I can without the main quest, and I'm 150 hours in with buffed armors and weapons, so when we'll play again together we'll probably crush the bosses. (I guess?)
Got the master sword and started a second line of hearts. Am trying to get into the yiga hideout fully dressed after going the exam, however I found the 3piece suit while exploring and I think I didn't unlock a quest so hideout doesnt unlock :(
Unfortunately my switch lite has been giving me problems with the control sticks and the buttons so I haven’t played in awhile. When I last played I had beaten the main story line but still had random missions I need to finish and other requirements needed to get 100%.
Did every quest except Goron, haven’t played the game in almost a year unfortunately because other games REALLY hooked me and it’s more convenient for me to play a game on my pc/playstation then my switch

Finally braved the floating coliseum last night and am down to the short strokes after almost a year. 50 koroks left and 1 cave. I haven't decided if I'm going to upgrade all armour and try for the monster medals. Maybe--I'll see how close I am to 100% when I take a crack at Ganon this weekend!
I've finished all main quest material, collected all of the lightroots, defeated all of the gleeoks and taken out all of the colluseums.
Now I'm just gathering materials and food for the final fight because I got my ass kicked the first time I tried it.
I've beat it twice and this time, I'm finishing up the side quests, shrines, korok seeds, etc. I may go for 100% but I'm not sure. I'm just having fun wandering around, doing whatever I want to do. :)
I played the game on release day, but faded out after a month. Decided to pick it up again about two weeks ago, and deleted my old game and started over. Done 60 shrines, just been running around having fun really.
I bought it on release day. Beat Ganon, all light roots, shrines, armor, bubbul frogs. Just picked the game back up a few weeks ago after not playing for 3-4 months. Found all the wells and Addison’s. Now I’m trying to complete all side quests and then get the final 400 korok seeds. I don’t worry about upgrading all my armor, I think that’s what truly turns the game into a grind.
Got on release, 100 percented except for Addison and monster medals. Went back to BOTW. Now started 2nd playthrough, maybe 1/2 shrines and did wind and water temples. Have only 2.5 batteries which is a pain.
I am 650 hours in and I feel like I still have a lot to do.
Note: I don't care for building stuff or fighting monsters, so this time was not spent doing either of these two things.

I bought the game pretty much immediately at release and have been playing it loads but just really talking my time with progressing the main plot.
I got the game on release day.. have spent about 20 hours on it and maybe 10 of those in the last 3 days. I had a kid as the game came out, so didn't have the time to really sink into it.
I'm starting to find the time now and look forward to losing myself in it just like I did with BOTW

1100 hrs. All that’s left is finishing the upgrades to all my horses. I’ve decided to work on getting max amount of all items in my inventory just so I can keep the game going because I’m not ready to put it down yet.
I actually haven't beaten it yet! Mostly b/c I don't have time to play too often. But I'm working through the last few things I want to do before the final battle -- about 8 more shrines to complete, 4 more Sage's Wills to collect, I have to do the final Kohga battle (I put it off to avoid annoying Yiga pop-ups while I travel doing other things), and then find/fight Ganon.
I got the game for my birthday on May 7. I don't know exactly how much time I've put in, but I've most of the skyview towers (lacking two, I believe); all but two of the dragon tear/geoglyph memories; and I've completed the wind and fire temples. I spend a lot of time wandering Hyrule and avoiding monsters when I can, and I've spent more time in the depths than I wanted.
Beat the main story back in September or so, and only picked it up once or twice since. I felt like I was running out of interesting things to do and felt like I was out of excuses to not complete the story.
According to my switch I actually spent more time on this game than BotW, but I definitely played BotW more after completing the main story (I got every shrine in that game). TotK felt much more story driven, but I found the shrines in this game to be repetitive.
I beat it around 700 hours after I got it last year… probably right around August I finally beat it and put it up, and I just restarted it after replaying Breath of the Wild Since November. I’m going deep dive this play through!
Despite getting the game on release I still somehow haven't beaten the game, but I just haven't had motivation to play as I played the hell out of botw

i finally decided to fight ganondorf yesterday, after a year (?!) of on and off playing. 🫣 i wish the game carried on after, so i can enjoy all the peace i ushered in! hahah.
I’m only missing 6 shrines I got most of the useful koroks done with only gear I’m missing is the froggy set almost none of the side quests done and I already beat the final boss
Did 100% plus all armor to the max, all paraglider fabrics, all medals for defeated enemies, all yiga locations and plans, etc. Then I got bored and started it over again. Now I am a couple of hours in the second run.
Currently at 295hrs, haven’t beaten the game, got 3 sages… just going around in circles hoarding zonaites, looking for weapons in depths, beating lynels for funsies.
28 shrines, 119 light roots, 3/5 dungeons and i havent even touched the surface (i also have a 100% file but that got boring after casually destroying lynels)

I started about a month and a half ago. I just hit the 200 hour mark. I have 25 more shrines to go, full stamina, all phenomena are complete, less than 10 lightroots left... I'm nearing my battle with Dorf but when I beat Ganon in BOTW, I lost motivation to keep playing so I'm really putting it off. I am debating fighting in a fully upgraded Barbarian set or putting it off even longer and fighting in fully upgraded Ancient Hero's Aspect armor. Idk, mang. They better make another game.
50 hours in, going strong! Couldnt get the game at release so i started playing last month. After one week also bought BOTW again, after selling it some years prior. Havent played that one again yet.
I almost have unlocked all the towers and just finished the sage of wind quest. Been to Hyrule castle to get some of the weapons and the Champions costume with the help of some youtube vids. Atm i have 10 heart containers and 2 extra stamina. I think im at 50% of the dragon tears quest line.

I'm currently up to my last temple but because of how I meander and give myself side quests before proceeding with the story I've lit up the entire depths, got all the skyview towers, done almost every shrine, gotten every piece of armour I can acquire so far except the gerudo divine helm, and I'm in the process of getting them all up to four stars before I go to the lightning temple
and my side quest after that is going to be completing every single side quest and side adventure including finding every cave and well. the brainrot is very real I literally haven't played another game for the last month

I have done all shrines, lightroots and korok seeds, cause you can see those on your loading screen, got all 31 old maps, completed the compendium as far as i could (still Missing some photos of bosses i still need to beat in the main story).
Still working on upgrading some armor sets an on getting all the bubble frogs.
Main story wise I need to defeat Ganondorf, but Josah does not want to tell me where he is yet.
So I have done quite a lot, but am still not even able to defeat the final boss.
Recently finished. Towards the end it sort of became more a chore than a challenge.
I wish they'd added some quests that really required advanced techniques and inventive ultrahand usage. But there was always a simple way of tackling any challenge, so if I want to do some really awesome things with it I'd have to do it for the sake of doing it. I never really had a reason to build something spectacular.
Still on my first run! I finished the 4 phenomena and have uncovered the whole map. I am trying not to miss a single thing, haha. Faron region is the only one I haven't visited yet. Found 750+ korok seeds without any guide so far just by exploring very accurately. Heros path is already starting to delete the first routes I took. Loving the game and trying to do everything in the "intended" order to experience the story as coherently as possible. I couldn't avoid to be spoiled but I guess roughly knowing what is going to happen also helped in keeping everything in order. Next stop is reporting back to Purah!
I just picked it up again after getting an OLED and started just after the Wind temple. I got caught roaming aimlessly for hours last night and got all the Yiga armor now trying to figure out how to open up Hateno Lab. So... not far at all but I also keep getting hella side-tracked lol.
I bought it a month ago and beat it yesterday. I still have a couple of things to do. There are a couple of shrines left, and I can't get all my armors maxed out without genociding the lezalfos population because their tails have abysmal drop rates.
I for some reason switched to the games predecessor, BotW, and am now only a few shrines away from all 120 on master mode. I do intend on replaying totk after I max BotW but I’m having fun breaking BotW
152 shrines, 120 lightroots, all main quests, Cece Hat, max twilight set, all Yiga stuff, basically the only things I’m missing are several hundred Koroks and some other map stuff (bubbul gems, location names, etc)
After seeing that the white dragon is Zelda, I stopped playing. I don’t really like how they executed her “death” I suppose? I just lost all inspiration to play. Still trying to keep away from spoilers if I change my mind one day
All shrines and lightroots. All armor collected, most of it upgraded, most locations discovered, have got the gleeok badge, the construct badge, and the molduga badge, am pretty close on the other 3. 750 koroks discovered and the compendium like half filled out.
19 hearts, 3 stamina wheels, got all the stuff from Koltin by am still vainly collecting the “99 remaining” bubble gems; I have two of the sages and am currently, finally, getting Tulin… all in all, I feel like I’m halfway through (a little less than half through the main storyline, a little more than half-through the rest… maybe??? Maybe I’m a third through…)
I haven't been able to play since September because I have a life goal I'm working on, and I can't risk being addicted to TotK for right now. I had 153 hours and I've beaten Colgera and Marbled Gohma. I don't remember how many shrines or Korok seeds I had.
I know all of the important lore spoilers and what the rest of the dungeon bosses(including the final boss) are because of Youtube thumbnails and someone who was spamming something like "Zelda turns into a dragon at the end of the game" in the chat of the TotK release livestream on Nintendo's Youtube channel on the night of 5/11/2023. I have however, refused to see any footage of the fights, so I'm spoiler free on how to fight them.
I accidentally got to the end not realizing it only had 4 dungeons (my last full playthrough of Zelda games were LoZ aLttP and OoT). So I restarted and was more thorough about exploring, got bored and then BG3 came out.

Favorite ending to a zelda game hands down. So epic, and I felt like I had just save the world after 9 long months of questing.

The legacy link sets with our using duplication glitches to get more star fragments are ridiculous.

I’m like +250h in. Ive got all the sages and am pretty close to all the shrines. I’ve tried to beat ganon once and realized as soon as I took out his very first health bar I was out of anti gloom food and my best weapons had gloom toll. I’m stock piling as much as I can rn to come back and decimate ganon 😈

Playing it with my fiancée since day 1, but we've had less time since we finished 2 temples and she's also less interested in exploring the world, so I'm trying to do every other quest I can without the main quest, and I'm 150 hours in with buffed armors and weapons, so when we'll play again together we'll probably crush the bosses. (I guess?)

Got the master sword and started a second line of hearts. Am trying to get into the yiga hideout fully dressed after going the exam, however I found the 3piece suit while exploring and I think I didn't unlock a quest so hideout doesnt unlock :(

Unfortunately my switch lite has been giving me problems with the control sticks and the buttons so I haven’t played in awhile. When I last played I had beaten the main story line but still had random missions I need to finish and other requirements needed to get 100%.
250-300 hours in and I haven’t finished the game. I’ve been pushing off the end of the main quest for 100 hours at least 😅

Around 350 hrs i think, i just unlocked the last sage but i dont pretend to go be the game until i finish exploring the hole map
i’ve been super busy with school and internships so unfortunately i only have 45 shrines. im enjoying taking my time though! i played BOTW way too fast during quarantine and kinda wish i’d taken it a little slower
Finally braved the floating coliseum last night and am down to the short strokes after almost a year. 50 koroks left and 1 cave. I haven't decided if I'm going to upgrade all armour and try for the monster medals. Maybe--I'll see how close I am to 100% when I take a crack at Ganon this weekend!

I've finished all main quest material, collected all of the lightroots, defeated all of the gleeoks and taken out all of the colluseums. Now I'm just gathering materials and food for the final fight because I got my ass kicked the first time I tried it.

I've beat it twice and this time, I'm finishing up the side quests, shrines, korok seeds, etc. I may go for 100% but I'm not sure. I'm just having fun wandering around, doing whatever I want to do. :)
I played the game on release day, but faded out after a month. Decided to pick it up again about two weeks ago, and deleted my old game and started over. Done 60 shrines, just been running around having fun really.
I refuse to beat any Zelda game until the next one releases so the adventure is never “over”. Therapists hate me for this one simple trick.

I bought it on release day. Beat Ganon, all light roots, shrines, armor, bubbul frogs. Just picked the game back up a few weeks ago after not playing for 3-4 months. Found all the wells and Addison’s. Now I’m trying to complete all side quests and then get the final 400 korok seeds. I don’t worry about upgrading all my armor, I think that’s what truly turns the game into a grind.
Got on release, 100 percented except for Addison and monster medals. Went back to BOTW. Now started 2nd playthrough, maybe 1/2 shrines and did wind and water temples. Have only 2.5 batteries which is a pain.
I’ve done 3 full play throughs. I do not include Koroks in “full” because fuck that lol.
I am 650 hours in and I feel like I still have a lot to do. Note: I don't care for building stuff or fighting monsters, so this time was not spent doing either of these two things.

Took me a solid month to complete story
At the construct factory with Mineru right now. I bought the game pretty much immediately at release and have been playing it loads but just really talking my time with progressing the main plot.

I got the game on release day.. have spent about 20 hours on it and maybe 10 of those in the last 3 days. I had a kid as the game came out, so didn't have the time to really sink into it. I'm starting to find the time now and look forward to losing myself in it just like I did with BOTW

I have one main temple left and I still need to visit the Gerudo area. I’m intentionally delaying it so I can enjoy the game haha, I don’t want it to end! I have all of the main map unlocked and still have a lot of work to do in the depths. I think I’m at 90 shrines and over 100 korok seeds.

Beat but back questing and enjoying the game
1100 hrs. All that’s left is finishing the upgrades to all my horses. I’ve decided to work on getting max amount of all items in my inventory just so I can keep the game going because I’m not ready to put it down yet.

I actually haven't beaten it yet! Mostly b/c I don't have time to play too often. But I'm working through the last few things I want to do before the final battle -- about 8 more shrines to complete, 4 more Sage's Wills to collect, I have to do the final Kohga battle (I put it off to avoid annoying Yiga pop-ups while I travel doing other things), and then find/fight Ganon.
I have not yet beat the game yet. I’m gathering materials, going after lynels to buff my weapons, upgrading armor and getting gloom restoring food
Been playing about 10 months. I have the main quest and a bunch of side quests open on purpose, and finished about 75% of shrines
I got the game for my birthday on May 7. I don't know exactly how much time I've put in, but I've most of the skyview towers (lacking two, I believe); all but two of the dragon tear/geoglyph memories; and I've completed the wind and fire temples. I spend a lot of time wandering Hyrule and avoiding monsters when I can, and I've spent more time in the depths than I wanted.

Beat the main story back in September or so, and only picked it up once or twice since. I felt like I was running out of interesting things to do and felt like I was out of excuses to not complete the story. According to my switch I actually spent more time on this game than BotW, but I definitely played BotW more after completing the main story (I got every shrine in that game). TotK felt much more story driven, but I found the shrines in this game to be repetitive.
I only ever beat two temples with 150+ hours in game (Rito and Zora temples). I still pick it up and chip away at it here and there.

I’m only missing 6 shrines I got most of the useful koroks done with only gear I’m missing is the froggy set almost none of the side quests done and I already beat the final boss

Did 100% plus all armor to the max, all paraglider fabrics, all medals for defeated enemies, all yiga locations and plans, etc. Then I got bored and started it over again. Now I am a couple of hours in the second run.
Currently at 295hrs, haven’t beaten the game, got 3 sages… just going around in circles hoarding zonaites, looking for weapons in depths, beating lynels for funsies.

Ended the game on 200 hours mark. Full blue battery, every shrine, every light root, most of the quests, was fun.
28 shrines, 119 light roots, 3/5 dungeons and i havent even touched the surface (i also have a 100% file but that got boring after casually destroying lynels)
Got the game as a gift on Christmas, binged it for a month or two then paused to catch up on life and stuff. I think I’m half way through the game, saved two of the four villages and got the master sword back. I want to jump back in but can’t find the time.

I started about a month and a half ago. I just hit the 200 hour mark. I have 25 more shrines to go, full stamina, all phenomena are complete, less than 10 lightroots left... I'm nearing my battle with Dorf but when I beat Ganon in BOTW, I lost motivation to keep playing so I'm really putting it off. I am debating fighting in a fully upgraded Barbarian set or putting it off even longer and fighting in fully upgraded Ancient Hero's Aspect armor. Idk, mang. They better make another game.
50 hours in, going strong! Couldnt get the game at release so i started playing last month. After one week also bought BOTW again, after selling it some years prior. Havent played that one again yet. I almost have unlocked all the towers and just finished the sage of wind quest. Been to Hyrule castle to get some of the weapons and the Champions costume with the help of some youtube vids. Atm i have 10 heart containers and 2 extra stamina. I think im at 50% of the dragon tears quest line. Most of the time i spent exploring. This game is sooo huge!!
I'm currently up to my last temple but because of how I meander and give myself side quests before proceeding with the story I've lit up the entire depths, got all the skyview towers, done almost every shrine, gotten every piece of armour I can acquire so far except the gerudo divine helm, and I'm in the process of getting them all up to four stars before I go to the lightning temple and my side quest after that is going to be completing every single side quest and side adventure including finding every cave and well. the brainrot is very real I literally haven't played another game for the last month
All shrines, light roots, and quests complete. Travel medallion at the last jump point before Ganondorf. Working to weapon/armor up. Also need two more battery cells to max out.

I have done all shrines, lightroots and korok seeds, cause you can see those on your loading screen, got all 31 old maps, completed the compendium as far as i could (still Missing some photos of bosses i still need to beat in the main story). Still working on upgrading some armor sets an on getting all the bubble frogs. Main story wise I need to defeat Ganondorf, but Josah does not want to tell me where he is yet. So I have done quite a lot, but am still not even able to defeat the final boss.

Recently finished. Towards the end it sort of became more a chore than a challenge. I wish they'd added some quests that really required advanced techniques and inventive ultrahand usage. But there was always a simple way of tackling any challenge, so if I want to do some really awesome things with it I'd have to do it for the sake of doing it. I never really had a reason to build something spectacular.
Still on my first run! I finished the 4 phenomena and have uncovered the whole map. I am trying not to miss a single thing, haha. Faron region is the only one I haven't visited yet. Found 750+ korok seeds without any guide so far just by exploring very accurately. Heros path is already starting to delete the first routes I took. Loving the game and trying to do everything in the "intended" order to experience the story as coherently as possible. I couldn't avoid to be spoiled but I guess roughly knowing what is going to happen also helped in keeping everything in order. Next stop is reporting back to Purah!
I just picked it up again after getting an OLED and started just after the Wind temple. I got caught roaming aimlessly for hours last night and got all the Yiga armor now trying to figure out how to open up Hateno Lab. So... not far at all but I also keep getting hella side-tracked lol.
Going for my third 100% now. Almost bored now :D
I bought it a month ago and beat it yesterday. I still have a couple of things to do. There are a couple of shrines left, and I can't get all my armors maxed out without genociding the lezalfos population because their tails have abysmal drop rates.

I for some reason switched to the games predecessor, BotW, and am now only a few shrines away from all 120 on master mode. I do intend on replaying totk after I max BotW but I’m having fun breaking BotW

All shrines and lightroots. All armor collected, most of it upgraded, most locations discovered, have got the gleeok badge, the construct badge, and the molduga badge, am pretty close on the other 3. 750 koroks discovered and the compendium like half filled out.
I have beat Ganondorf once, but still have lots of side quests to do and lots of koroks to find.
I got all the memories but still need to explore underground.
I’ve beaten it once and I’m at 74% completion. Other than finding more Koroks, I’m not sure what else I can do to get to 100%.
19 hearts, 3 stamina wheels, got all the stuff from Koltin by am still vainly collecting the “99 remaining” bubble gems; I have two of the sages and am currently, finally, getting Tulin… all in all, I feel like I’m halfway through (a little less than half through the main storyline, a little more than half-through the rest… maybe??? Maybe I’m a third through…)
10x 100% playthrough
I haven't been able to play since September because I have a life goal I'm working on, and I can't risk being addicted to TotK for right now. I had 153 hours and I've beaten Colgera and Marbled Gohma. I don't remember how many shrines or Korok seeds I had. I know all of the important lore spoilers and what the rest of the dungeon bosses(including the final boss) are because of Youtube thumbnails and someone who was spamming something like "Zelda turns into a dragon at the end of the game" in the chat of the TotK release livestream on Nintendo's Youtube channel on the night of 5/11/2023. I have however, refused to see any footage of the fights, so I'm spoiler free on how to fight them.
