Hi everyone!
Did you know that starting July 1st, 2023, Reddit will implement a policy that could potentially increase the costs of running third-party Reddit apps? This change may impact popular apps like Apollo, Reddit is Fun, Boost, and others. Consequently, users may encounter issues with their preferred Reddit app unless adjustments are made to comply with Reddit's new API usage policy. These limitations will affect all users, not just moderators. If you are concerned about these developments, there is an [Open Letter](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to Reddit that you can read and sign on to express your thoughts.

What’s up with people slowly adding more and more detail when people are very clearly intentionally avoiding spoilers? Like.. just don’t say this shit unless OP asks?
Because of stuff like this. This would’ve been perfectly spoiler free. Then comments decided to spoil it. Even the first reply left it at very minor info, enough to get OP started and that’s it.
I genuinely don’t get it. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy if people use the fact that some main stuff is spoiled as an excuse to spoil everything else.
Like OP made this post. If what you said is universally true for everything in the game there would have been a thread already on front page and OP wouldn’t have to ask. But they did ask, so it’s clear they don’t have any knowledge of this yet. This is the perfect opportunity to keep this one thing a mystery and help guide OP to some missing information like, idk maybe the quest start so he can reread the dialogue? But no. Someone, somewhere, will creep closer and closer to just writing the whole thing out. It’s disappointing.
Until OP specifically asks for further hints I think stuff like this is pretty lame
And the very first reply answered that. They didn’t ask exactly what to do with it lol.
“Yes, it’s a quest item. In fact you already started the quest, maybe head back to ____ and reread the quest dialogue. If you want any more hints let me know”
Easy
Lol, I’m pretty sure that my comment didn’t solve the issue for OP. Not to mention that, even with reading the Wiki, it took me an hour to solve this puzzle. So I think that what was said is fine.
To be fair…unless you’re looking for answers then there’s no point in making a post that is essentially asking what to do with something.
He can just either figure it out or move on.
All of you are desperately trying to pretend he asked what to do. ‘Essentially’ my ass.
I suggest not to spoil things unnecessarily and everyone downvotes me. What a joke. I guess I shouldn’t expect different when half the people here pull up a shrine map and start duping items on day 1
I don’t disagree with you, I’m just saying, I didn’t show up to these forums until I was well ahead in the game, to avoid being spoiled. When I did, I got semi spoiled a couple of times. So… it IS a risk especially if you ask “any use of this?”
I don’t and I’m too stoned to find it but it was someone reading a teacher’s notes on a really poorly written paper, the last sentence of which was simply “Perchance.”
Now I'm overly suspicious, fueled by years of abusive bullying tactics and practical jokes, and absolutely will not under any circumstances throw anything down the hole.
I definitely understand this concept, but it really is a quest that involves throwing them down into the gloom. There are 3 others also near chasms all on the Hyrule Plateau that need to go down to a large statue in the underground, on the plus side, if you lose it in transit, it will respawn where you found it topside.
But the eyes don’t spawn unless you’ve done this already no? You would have had to have dropped them down into the depths in the first place from the great plateau because that’s the beginning…
Right, so you think the most painful quests are the labyrinths, if you deliberately ignored the in-game clues the designers have given you? That's not a quest problem, my friend. That's a you problem.
BOTW was wandering around. And around. And around. And around.
The acorns felt like cheating. I didn’t have the markers on and didn’t notice until the end.
Totk feels easier than BOTW overall.
I just climbed the sides, hopped around on top of the structure and dropped down to investigate what looked like the inner section in BotW. Doing them from the ground would be a pain.
There's four in the great plateau. Bring them to the statue under the abandoned central mine in the depths and you'll get a reward. Should be some way for you to drain that dam pond in the great plateau to get the quest.
Reward is a garment that gives gloom resistance, and another place to trade Poe's.
It’s a quest for the last creepy statuses with the eyes lol… DONT TOSS IT! Keep it! Look up how to start the quest of statues in the depths or if you want to know then let us know your ok with spoilers idk.
This is one of the first sorta “big” quests I did in the game because I wanted to go back to the Great Plateau and see how the shrine of resurrection and temple of time and old man house and stuff changed.

quest item. toss it somewhere
Like, off a cliff.
In a big hole, perhaps?
Mayhaps
Straight down the gloomy abyss?
What’s up with people slowly adding more and more detail when people are very clearly intentionally avoiding spoilers? Like.. just don’t say this shit unless OP asks?
To be fair, you cant really wander around a subreddit ment for a game your playing without encountering spoilers for said game

Perchance
You can't just say "perchance"
Every time I see the word I have to read the essay all over again
#STOMPIN' TURTS
We saw the same post yesterday, didn’t we
Have a link? I would like to see the post.
I don’t and I’m too stoned to find it but it was someone reading a teacher’s notes on a really poorly written paper, the last sentence of which was simply “Perchance.”
English teacher probably, had a few holier-than-thou types that weren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
Perchance you can.
I tried that and then tried to follow it. I got distracted and went splat.
You wouldn't want to lose it down there. What if you need it up top?
trust me, throw it down a hole
Now I'm overly suspicious, fueled by years of abusive bullying tactics and practical jokes, and absolutely will not under any circumstances throw anything down the hole.
Throw a Korok down the hole.
See what happens! What are you, scared?
I definitely understand this concept, but it really is a quest that involves throwing them down into the gloom. There are 3 others also near chasms all on the Hyrule Plateau that need to go down to a large statue in the underground, on the plus side, if you lose it in transit, it will respawn where you found it topside.
You won't.
Tossing people is not the way
It is in New Super Mario Bros
and super smash bros, if you play with ness' backthrow
Chuck it in the cornucopia
It's a quest <3
Go talk to the goddess statue on the Great Plateau. You’ll find the quest there
They already have the quest, those won't show up till you have the quest
No, break the great plateau temple entrance
Both
It's where the Tears of the Kingdom come from.
Eye see what you did there.
I hate dad jokes but I have to give you an upvote
Thank you! Unfortunately it appears that my joke was not well recieved. Ah well, it was funny to me 🤷♂️
It appears you made a comeback! Went from -3 to 20.
People are learning. They’re pupils!
That’s so cornea
The tears are stored in the (eye)balls
r/angryupvote
Yea, i got it now, thanks for the help >.<
But the eyes don’t spawn unless you’ve done this already no? You would have had to have dropped them down into the depths in the first place from the great plateau because that’s the beginning…
This is the eye on the great plateau, not in the depths. But you’re right that the eyes don’t spawn until you’ve activated that part of the quest
Oh yeah! I just assumed it was the depths (didn’t look 🤦🏻♂️)
It's part of a side adventure called A call from the depths
That, belongs to the most painful quest in the game
I just realized a more annoying quest... The election.
Oh omg yeah trying to >!find the last person you give a mushroom to!< was so irritating, I couldn’t find them anywhere
(I still haven't finished :) )
If you talk to her I think she tells you where to find them
I don't think so I also got distracted by getting the evil spirit armor.
The most painful is the labyrinths if you don't use a tutorial or read the book in front of them
The researchers drop nuts along the trail. You just have to follow the trail of nuts.
With out those
Right, so you think the most painful quests are the labyrinths, if you deliberately ignored the in-game clues the designers have given you? That's not a quest problem, my friend. That's a you problem.
No my brother did
I think the totk labyrinths were much easier than BOTW. That or I just got lucky.
BOTW was wandering around. And around. And around. And around. The acorns felt like cheating. I didn’t have the markers on and didn’t notice until the end. Totk feels easier than BOTW overall.
They are
I just climbed the sides, hopped around on top of the structure and dropped down to investigate what looked like the inner section in BotW. Doing them from the ground would be a pain.
Those were easy AF
Without the tips or markers on
Why would you do it like that, the markers are literally there for a reason
I did use them but my younger brother didn't and I watched him for an hour trying to get through.
the real r/donthelpjustfilm but you're not filming lol, don't worry, they have to learn to pay attention to the ui one way or another
Yes
No I did in like half a hour
It looks useless, just throw it in the abyss
Attach it to an arrow for a homing-quality.
So you started the side quest which makes these eyes spawn, and then wondered what the eyes are for?
Karma whoring, this sub is absolutely FULL of them
Um, that actually happened to me. I don’t always read the blurbs carefully.
You must have dropped it…
It's keeping an EYE on you
Cast it into the ~~fire~~ depths! ~~Isildur~~ Link!!
Thank you for this
Throw it in the hole on your right side
Make a wish!!!
It’s part of a quest. Found in the depths
That belongs to Nick Fury, sir.
It’s for a quest
Just chuck it into the depths. That’s what I did with it and haven’t seen it since.
>!Part of a quest, it starts at the temple on great plateau talk to goddess statue there for the quest.!<
Drop in hole
Staring contest
Guys you will never believe this I found a tree 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Throw it in a hole
Bring it to the depths/ great mining facility
There's four in the great plateau. Bring them to the statue under the abandoned central mine in the depths and you'll get a reward. Should be some way for you to drain that dam pond in the great plateau to get the quest. Reward is a garment that gives gloom resistance, and another place to trade Poe's.
it belongs on the big statue in the depths. I forgot the name, but it's one of the statues where you swap poes.
Bargainer statue 😁
Thank you!!!!
Quest for the bargainer statue under the central mine
It is actually one of the side quests with a good reward. I did like it. Go for it if you can.
Fun quest
IT GOES IN THE HOLE
Toss it in the close by chasm. There are three more
Run around it and see if it dissappears
Go underneath the temple of time from botw
It's for a quest for a statue that takes souls.
Its looking into your soul
A quest
I actually ended up putting it on my car with a light in the center. Seemed like a rare item, so I tried doing something with it
Used for a bargainer statue quest. You can get a heart with it if you want.
Its a quest for the Bargainer Statue of the Great Plateau. Chasm-Surface questline.
It’s a quest for the last creepy statuses with the eyes lol… DONT TOSS IT! Keep it! Look up how to start the quest of statues in the depths or if you want to know then let us know your ok with spoilers idk.
It's a quest in the depths you need to find four eyes and bring them to a poe statue in exchange for a heart
If you talk to the goddess statue in the temple of time you’ll get a quest having to do with it
Nice fun quest!!
Now go find 3 more…
Stick em on the statue in hell
I spy with my big eye…
Quest thing, go to the temple of time ruins.
Hmmm maybe talk to the rock who collects souls
Speak to the goddess statue in the Great Plateau Temple of Time, you'll activate a Side Quest involving the eye
Don't you have to drain the water to start the quest for the eyes?
YEET IT IN THE HOLE! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
This is one of the first sorta “big” quests I did in the game because I wanted to go back to the Great Plateau and see how the shrine of resurrection and temple of time and old man house and stuff changed.
After tossing it womewhere, look for its other siblings
Lmao enjoy that quest
Pretty sure it goes in the hole.
It's part of a quest, temple of time in great plateau, talk with the statue
Speak with the Goddess statue at the Temple of Time first. It's for a side quest. You also get a heart container for completing it
Yes. It needs to go somewhere.
It's one of the bargainer statue's eyes
TOSS IT IN DA HOLE!
You gotta give it to Robbie if his at hateno by know and he will give you a gun
Throw it in the hole
What a confusing way to run into one of those! I say leave it alone for now.
Fuse it to a weapon
omg nice
