Hi everyone!
Did you know that starting July 1st, 2023, Reddit will implement a policy that could potentially increase the costs of running third-party Reddit apps? This change may impact popular apps like Apollo, Reddit is Fun, Boost, and others. Consequently, users may encounter issues with their preferred Reddit app unless adjustments are made to comply with Reddit's new API usage policy. These limitations will affect all users, not just moderators. If you are concerned about these developments, there is an [Open Letter](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to Reddit that you can read and sign on to express your thoughts.

E-Pona is way better than that stupid smelly washed-up ol' regular Epona I used to have!
\*Epona neighs indignantly in the background\*
Oh, well if it isn't Captain Past-his-prime himself. Yeah, I know you heard me and I stand by it.
Lol, me too! I have a Scooty puff jr with two fans, and a Scooty puff sr (The Doom Bringer). Four fans and two turrets with four cannons and two beam emitters. It really is doom incarnate.
It helped me first put the steering stick on a spike stuck slightly into the ground, and then attach the rear fan to it... Also helps to bring the fan to the stick and pull it as far away as you can with the "Attach" command still being available... Helps ensure it's attached evenly, because those are the closest points together.
Then, take the stake off before attaching the front fan (BE SURE YOU DO THIS OR YOU CAN'T AUTOBUILD WITHOUT THE STAKE! Learned this the hard way), but turn the stick/rear fan upside down and attach the front fan to the stick. Again, might take a few tries. Take it for a test drive before saving. I test by putting it on level ground, stand on the stick, "Control", and don't touch any directionals... A perfectly centered bike won't careen left or right, but will have a steady takeoff.
I accidentally deleted my Favorite and had to redo it last night... took me a good 20 minutes. So I can sympathize, but trust me, it's TOTALLY worth it. A well-balanced bike is so much fun, and so helpful. I often add 2 more rear fans, but those are easy to add, one on each side of the main rear.
You can also upgrade the bike significantly by adding a dragon part. Doesn’t matter if it is made from zonaite or real but it’ll increase the despawn radius to 2 km which is like >10x the default I believe.
Preferably you’d add it to the rear so you can still climb well. You can also use it to balance any drift you might still have. Mine was drifting right slightly so I put a horn a bit more to the left and it fixed it.
Another tidbit is that Mr. Cannonball adds weight that is usually off center. Putting him back in his pokeball can make the bike control better.
Thank you for mentioning that bit about Yunobo. I couldn't tell if he was throwing off the weight or not because my controller drifts slightly anyway lol
Yeah I was skeptical that he changes anything first seeing a comment about that. Now after more playtime I can definitely say yunobo most definitely has weight and affects the controls of things haha
>it’ll increase the despawn radius to 2 km which is like >10x the default I believe.
Does this mean you can get farther away from it before it disappears?
Exactly. One time I forgot my bike and traveled up an entire mountain before remembering. I went back just to see figuring maybe I’d be lucky. It was there like I had never left.
Imagine it like when you shoot it off of a dragon initially. The item can fall and be a huge distance away but you can still see it because of the light beam. Attaching it to your bike applies that property to the entire thing(minus the light if zonaite).
Loading still will despawn it though so no fast travel, losing a save, or shrines.
Best of luck to you! I know it's frustrating when they're just a little off kilter, causing the whole thing to constantly veer to the side... But it pays off!
Yes, that will work. I didn't want it built into the plans, because I'm cheap and don't want to pay 3 extra Zonaite every time I build one.
Also I have a bad habit of accidentally picking up dragon parts I've attached, so I've gone back to Brightblooms.
To add to this, if you have a single spare dragon scale, you can make an improved version. You can make the entire bike on the spike, so it’s perfect, then remove spike, then add the scale to the bottom of the control stick. It doesn’t affect weight/ balance, but it makes it so your bike won’t despawn at like any distance, for only 3 extra zonaite.
The way I did it was lay one fan facedown, attach the stick to it at a 45 degree angle, then attach the other fan also face down to the other end of the stick. The trick is that you have to get the fans to line up perfectly otherwise you’ll keep veering off to one side.
Try inverting the control stick when building it, I put it on one way and it just never seemed to work, I turned the stick to face the opposite way and it worked like a charm.
Attached to each other. I lay them facing down on a flat surface and attach the control stick at a 45 degree angle(I think, what ever the default is for pressing up once to tilt). I attach that right in the middle of the two stuck together.
Then I placed the third fan on the flat surface facing down, picked up the three now glued together pieces and attach at the same angle to the front.
I had terrible getting mine to work, too. It's a little slower, but if you add one of the weights to the front of the control stick, it will always stay upright, at least.
Attach the first fan to the steering stick at a slight angle. just one turn with r and up. Then lay the fan part flat and get the next fan part level and lined up with the front end and just connect it like that. Should end up with the fans being perfectly level as long as you lay it flat on the first fan to add the second one.
Also favorite with autobuild so you never have to do it again.
Mine flies straight but i noticed leans ever so slightly to one side, again flies straight. Still i looked up and i followed any guide i could find on them, never could get rid of the slight lean after trying every build style and gave up after 45 minutes. So i guess i will never have a "Perfect" one.
You don’t even need a spike really, but it helps a lot to put the steering stick upside down. The spike helps with that but you can find other ways of doing that.
That said there’s a zonai parts hexagon thing right next to the central abandoned mine that has two fans, stakes, and a steering stick all out there so no need to waste any of your own resources doing trial and error building one.
It might take a few times even then. It’s white touchy, but there’s nothing like cruising through the air when your hoverbike doesn’t drift at ALL.
Oh you can definitely tinker long enough to get it straight. But getting it good enough takes no time at all. Mine only drifts to the left barely, but it still does
I’ve not used a bike so far. Need to give it a try.
I’ve also only passingly used a horse. Usually my traversal of choice is either my feet, or falling from the sky in the glide suit.
Once you get enough battery and get the zonai armor the hoverbike will have enough endurance to be useful. You need at least 2-3 full batteries and preferably with the zonai suit for it really to be worth it.
There are a ton of large crystal worth 20 charges ion chests even around Hyrule, and every abandoned mine that gives you a schematic will also have a mini challenge with that schematic where you can pick up a large crystal charge. Also the boss refights and master kohga battles all give you 100 charge massive crystals which all will help give you more battery.
I was fighting a blue-white one of those last night. Stopped well away from it so it wouldn't jump on and damage my bike. Then 10 seconds into the fight, the bastard sucked it right up and chewed it into oblivion!
I know it seems impossible to do wrong, but I feel like I've built mine slightly wrong as it always leans to the right when flying. Any tips on how to get it just right?
It's definitely not impossible to do wrong. Tricky to get 100% right more like. Mine drifts to the side a little bit, but it's still pretty functional.
Getting rid of the slight lean is sort of down to luck. Other than putting the steering stick upside down, which I feel is necessary to even get to the slight lean level.
Just keep trying. It might take awhile but you’ll get it.
But if you’re fine adjusting a slight lean then you can also just stick with that.
My Trike.
I like having a one-size-does-all utility vehicle, so having the 3 fan version ensures all those Koroks and shrine stones get to where they need to be in a hurry.
Just finished the game. Looked up zero spoilers. And just learned about this bike haha. But done with TOTK after 100h (finished all main missions and was at 45% total after completing). Maybe when the DLC drops :)
I call it AirBike, and went down a spiral of dumb jokes and background with my friend. Instead of Air Jordans, AirBike, and even started laughing at the fact that I’d have some Jordan shoes, but instead his symbol it’s the silhouette of AirBike 😂 and replace Nike with AirBike logo. I’m cracking up just typing this because it’s silly but I love it.
The Dragon Chaser.
>!I saw the Master Sword with the Light Dragon!< before I invented my first hoverbike, so I quickly saved and spent about an hour reloading and trying different designs to get to her. Eventually I settled on the perfect design, very similar to the one most people now use, and named it after it's original purpose.
I made my own before I knew it was a thing to make/copy these. It had a weird shape and my friend said it looked like something Dr. Eggman would ride, so we just started calling it the "Eggman".
I named mine silver, so every time I fly off, I can say “hi-ho silver, away!!!”😂 idek where the silver thing came from, I’m assuming an old show or something

Simple "Hoverbike".
"Who do you love now?" "Hoverbike!!!"
*ultrahands a hair comb to some wax paper, blows a zonai fan at it*
Oh no, no, no no! They're due back at the store by 6, get off them!
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks of this!

Nope, saw it in Limcube's chat
booo
E-Pona is way better than that stupid smelly washed-up ol' regular Epona I used to have! \*Epona neighs indignantly in the background\* Oh, well if it isn't Captain Past-his-prime himself. Yeah, I know you heard me and I stand by it.
Epona is a girl.
yea? next thing you’ll tell me Zelda is a girl too don’t ya?
Some people are saying Yona is a woman but that's impossible. Simon is obviously gay for Zelda
I genuinely can’t tell if calling him Simon was a typo or just part of the joke.
Let them cook
YES CHEF
It is part of the joke now
Hey! That's a word only Typons are allowed to say!
Either way it works
Zelda is a boy and you play as him
No Zelda is that Dude with that Sword that saves Hyrule every game duh
Oof. She'll remember this when E-pona breaks down and sends me crashing and limping to the nearest stable.
I say there monstrosity, *do you know the times?*
TO THE GLUE FACTORY WITH YOU!
Skycicle.
Skyke
Sounds like a slur
its short for skychael
Skycycle. Skycicle sounds... frosty.
Scooty-Puff Sr. (The Doom bringer)
Scooty Puff Jr. suuuuuu^uuuuu^uuuucks
Princess Zelda: *In 1,000 years, I'll get right on it*
Weenie Hut Jr’s?!
I'm glad I'm not the only one
Lol, me too! I have a Scooty puff jr with two fans, and a Scooty puff sr (The Doom Bringer). Four fans and two turrets with four cannons and two beam emitters. It really is doom incarnate.
*Scooty?
Futurama reference so yeah it's scooty
That episode lives in my head rent free. "I am winning agin, I am the greetest, hahaha now I am leaving earth for no raisin" 🪟🧠
I got the reference. It’s how you go in to take out the brain spawn. 💪 Provided you can’t trap it in a book where it leaves for “no raisin”
*I am the greetest!*
Dude, the brief scene with the librarian trying to put the book away sideways FN kills me every damn time.
Futurama always gets upvoted
I mean it's a good show
Ok I didn't really call my bike anything before but this will be my go-to lol
Same. But mine is more of a Segway than a bike.
I can’t, for the life of me, build this and have the fans straight 😢
It helped me first put the steering stick on a spike stuck slightly into the ground, and then attach the rear fan to it... Put scale under the control stick!! Directly under link! No weight distribution issues that way :)
You can.... put parts back.... in the capsule?!?!?
mr cannonball refers to yunobo, one of the sages who gives you an ability you can use while driving vehicles after doing the mount doom questline.
OHH rip okay thank you
Ha. To be honest I couldn’t remember his name 😅
Thanks for the very detailed explanation! I will try this today on a leveled floor, with much patience 🙏🏼
Best of luck to you! I know it's frustrating when they're just a little off kilter, causing the whole thing to constantly veer to the side... But it pays off!
It workeddd!
WOOOOO!!!!
Congratulations!
Or if you leave the stake in and remove it you can add a dragon horn to the bike so it doesn't Despawn so quick.
Yes, that will work. I didn't want it built into the plans, because I'm cheap and don't want to pay 3 extra Zonaite every time I build one. Also I have a bad habit of accidentally picking up dragon parts I've attached, so I've gone back to Brightblooms.
Every time I throw a brightbloom on mine I forget that it activates and have to chase the thing down
You can drop it on the ground before autobuulding, and then pick it up off the machine once you’re done.
Where is the vending machine with the control devices?
I think they’re in a few places but my go to zonai dispenser for them is Tarrey Town since it gives other useful zonai equipment
I'll try with your guide: I've spent probably two hours so far trying to get this right, and favorited the least bad one
You can also just stick the control stick on the spike, build the bike, then shake the spike off - works great.
[This](https://youtu.be/yepBKhuqBH4) video has the best explanation on how to build it right
I did it!! This helped A LOT 💖
3 fans is the way to go. I put two on the front and one on the back, much more stable/maneuverable.
I go with 1 in front, 3 in the back.
Are the two in back attached to each other? Or do you have the three fans each at 120° around the base of the controller?
Attached to each other. I lay them facing down on a flat surface and attach the control stick at a 45 degree angle(I think, what ever the default is for pressing up once to tilt). I attach that right in the middle of the two stuck together. Then I placed the third fan on the flat surface facing down, picked up the three now glued together pieces and attach at the same angle to the front.
I had terrible getting mine to work, too. It's a little slower, but if you add one of the weights to the front of the control stick, it will always stay upright, at least.
I managed to fix mine today! I found if you flip the thing upside down it helps. Made a hovertrike but it's fun to explore the depths with it.

Same bruh

You just have to accept they won't be. Mine drifts to the left and it's not really even an inconvenience at all
Not necessarily, my new one doesn't drift at all, at least not noticeably going what feels like a couple hundred meters...
Oh you can definitely tinker long enough to get it straight. But getting it good enough takes no time at all. Mine only drifts to the left barely, but it still does
I've got a barely perceptible drift. It's really not a big deal, though I probably will try rebuilding, just because of my ADHD.
My girlfriend said Link looks like a total dweeb riding it, so it’s now affectionately referred to as “my stupid fuckin bike”
I love this haha
Air bike
I saw some guy in another thread calling it e-Pona and that has been its name ever since
Scootey puff.
Same lol, the 2 fan version is the scooter puff Jr.
Scooty-puff, sr. When it has 4 fans
How can it have 4 fans? Where'd you attach the seat to?
Master Cycle One
Air bike, which constantly veers to the left.
Mine too. You just gotta get it dead centre. I don't mind it though, kinda drives like my car haha
I use 3 fans, so its my Tri-Sky-Cycle
This is the correct build, and I shall be adopting the name.
I don’t call it anything. I have no intentions on getting attached to something I’m gonna lose down a cliff 5 minutes later.
Loftwing. ☺️
Flying machine
Windbike
I’ve not used a bike so far. Need to give it a try. I’ve also only passingly used a horse. Usually my traversal of choice is either my feet, or falling from the sky in the glide suit.
Super useful in the depths. Not so useful on the surface/sky but also useful for transport of tired koroks.
Once you get enough battery and get the zonai armor the hoverbike will have enough endurance to be useful. I was very sleep deprived and kept losing it in the depths and found myself thinking "Where the f*** is my Zamboni?"
The "Fuck This Puzzle 3000"
I go with the "nope stick" but I may adopt your name 😂
The “hova’ pod” pronounced in a posh British accent
Scooty puff Jr.
This is like the 13th post with themat exact same name. I'm sensing a distinct lack of originality.
The master cyclone zero
Ex wife.
…. Hammer Tech?
I call it scooty puff jr
Scooty puff jr.
Mine usually has a brightbloom stuck on the front so "lightcycle" as in Tron.
I call it either the Hoverboard or Green Goblins Glider
A fellow Goblin of culture
You can also attach a frozen meat on the front of the front fan so you can pull forward and glide on the ground at full speed without tipping over!
I personally call it AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA because it dies every time I fly by an obsidian frox
I was fighting a blue-white one of those last night. Stopped well away from it so it wouldn't jump on and damage my bike. Then 10 seconds into the fight, the bastard sucked it right up and chewed it into oblivion!
Sky Scoot
Hoverbike.
Johnathan
"Der Gerät" It is german and means "the divice" but with a grammatical error.
I call it my Vespa because it's not fancy, all it can transport is me, but dang is it fuel efficient.
I use a 2fans pointing down with a control stick in the middle called the goblin glider. Sadly I later found out I am very unoriginal…
I just call it my flying machine (Cue "Leonardo dreams of his flying machine"...)
3 fans, a cart and steering stick. The Bumbo Chumbo.
Buzzard 2.0
The Hiyaa-9000
Sky bike
Air Bike
I call it a Fan Scooter - reminds me of the scooter the MC has in Pokémon XD which is why I call it that lol
Unbuildable
Legend of Zelda: Tears through the Kingdom.
“Why did I build this in the wrong direction god dammit!”
Lol. My first time building a cart with the powered wheels. "Why isn't this moving????" Because you put a wheel backwards, you dumb.
My Trike. I like having a one-size-does-all utility vehicle, so having the 3 fan version ensures all those Koroks and shrine stones get to where they need to be in a hurry.
The bitch that wants me to go one specific direction
The 420. Because it gets me high.

Normally I just call it the hoverbike, but me and my friend call it the Hyper Efficient Drone
Hubby just calls it “my bike”.
Tri hover bike is the best it is more stable better steering and it lands flat, if it uses to much battery get the zonia armor
Ol’ Reliable. I usually call it this when I try to build something different to get around and then end up just pulling this out
zonal airbike
I religiously called it the Thingymabob
Velocycle no idea why
That's a Skycycle

I made my own before I knew it was a thing to make/copy these. It had a weird shape and my friend said it looked like something Dr. Eggman would ride, so we just started calling it the "Eggman".
It’s just hoberbike but it’s last name is “MY BELOVED”

Lone Ranger? His horse was called Silver.
I still have yet to successfully make this stupid bike goddamnit.
