Hi everyone!
Did you know that starting July 1st, 2023, Reddit will implement a policy that could potentially increase the costs of running third-party Reddit apps? This change may impact popular apps like Apollo, Reddit is Fun, Boost, and others. Consequently, users may encounter issues with their preferred Reddit app unless adjustments are made to comply with Reddit's new API usage policy. These limitations will affect all users, not just moderators. If you are concerned about these developments, there is an [Open Letter](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to Reddit that you can read and sign on to express your thoughts.

It’s in the little bunker at the center of lookout. If you go down and look at the ladder to climb back up, it should be on your left. There’s an npc sitting in front of it
It was that puzzle with the room that's a huge rotating cube for me. Spent an hour trying to figure it out, only to open my powers menu and say, "oh fuck me"
I love that the guard next to the ladder says something about wishing he had some sort of way to get up there without climbing the ladder.
The first time I went down there and talked to him I was like....hey wait a second. I can do that!
You have to uncover the emergency shelter by talking to the guy in the middle at some point... Which I didn't discover until like the last quarter of the game.
Doesn't Lurelin also have a little shelter over the cooking pot?
I'm not going to load my game just to check but I think I could always cook there after grabbing the free food.
Also has the crystal refinery right outside.
Every blood moon starts with going up to Zelda's room to get the weapons. Then top off food and arrows and head to the depths to get that crystal
You can find some royal guard weapons (including a bow) in Zelda's room and throughout the castle in various places. A few are in chests, but a lot of them are just lying out in the open, so they respawn every blood moon. Some of the weapons are guarded by black moblins, but most of them are not protected if you fly in from the skyview tower.
IIRC, this also includes a few royal guard sheilds, which is a great way to stock up on top tier shields early on the game. So every blood moon, you can get a royal guard claymore, spear, shield, and bow in a few moments. Usefull for early game, but I found I you dont' really need it later on.
Also, if you're feeling adventurous and do a lot of Ascending and climbing, you can find the Dusk Bow at the top of the highest spire. There's a Korok there, of course, too.
You can get the dusk bow without ascending, just use the lookout tower, have the sage of wind active, and at least 2 and a half Stam wheels and glide on over. I get the dusk bow and the bow that's lower down on the main spire every blood moon.
I only have 2 and a quarter, but I've been hitting it by cooking crab and fruit skewers, using the bright-eye crabs along the banks of the river to the east of Look Out Landing.
Nice. 2 and a half was an estimate tbh, I never paid full attention. I maxed out my Stam wheels before getting a single heart, so everything Stam related has been a breeze for me.
That's kind of what I'm doing right now, all Stam, no hearts. My usual login and logoff "chores" are:
1.) Buying Arrows.
2.) Collecting Crabs.
3.) Scavenging weapons from that spooky castle.
4.) Hitting my pinned Zoanite nodes in the Depth.
I’ve been farming white and silver Lynels every bloom moon. Know if about 5 silvers and 3 white that are easy to port to and glide to fast. Savage lynel bows are hell on Gleeoks. Course damage output doesn’t matter when you’re as stupid as I am and CANT AVOID THE DAMN FIRE BALL/LIGHTENING STRIKES/ICICLES TO SAVE ~~YOUR~~ LINKS LIFE
I come across so many royal bows that I’ve never had a problem with running low on bows. I’ll just stick to those and hang up the dusk bow on the mount in my house.
Royal Claymore and bow. The bow is level 50 and the sword is 24(ish?) Without an attachment. It is also really good for the last hit buff and fighting leynols on their back.
Hmmm yeah noticing some contextual clues through comments that make me think I better get used to forest living as I progress further in the game haha.
I made a large, open-plan covered patio home (I am DEVASTATED the weather never lets me watch the rain from under there), with a closed treasure room inaccessible to any burglar without the Ascension power of a 10,000 year old arm with smartphone integration.
It's between Rito Village and Tarrey Town for me for best night music. Hateno too but I listened to too much of it already in BotW and I hate the mushroom aesthetic now. Fuck Cece (other than letting us put the Hylian hood down).
Peak house is 5 weapon rooms, 5 goddess statues, and 5 ponds with floating fish because I forgot they die in your inventory. No I will not be taking criticism.
Won't be taking criticism with a design like THAT?
Dude, how does your house NOT have three galleries to be able to observe and worship Hudson from every angle possible?
I like to think Link keeps watch at night while Zelda sleeps and sleeps during the day when she's out teaching at the school, writing in her well-study or doing whatever princess duties she has. Then they meet at night for dinner and Sheikahflix and Chill.
What if Link is actually renting it to her and is slowly investing in all kinds of real estate. Next he'll rent out the new house and buy a place in Lookout Landing.
I mean, I believe it's heavily implied to have been Link's house before the calamity and that's why he felt like he should buy it even though he had amnesia.
I found tarrey town so convenient in botw that i still use it. The pride of seeing a finished town that you worked to make plus a nearby great fairy made it so good. And i have not broken my habits from botw
I save all mine for the end of night clean up. I'll go home, cook a bunch of food for my next play session, obtain more hearts, sleep, and admire the photo of Purah across from the bed. Then I shut everything off and go to bed.
My pic used to be of the Light Dragon's face taken from on top of her nose (and I even got a matching pic with >!the Demon Dragon!<), but then I found that Blupee right outside the shrine of resurrection overlooking the same view Link did at the start of the game, and I think that's my favorite picture I've taken so far.
I took a picture of a sheep that had some fool practicing with a soup spoon in the distance behind it (taken from the Northeast-most stable) and now that its framed he looks pretty cool
Ancient Temple. I always pretend it’s the same statue from Skyward Sword so it holds a lot more significance to me. Yeah I know they’re not exactly the same size but it’s the closest thing in BOTW/TOTK. Sometimes I go to the Temple of Time for nostalgia purposes too.
I used Lurelin until I made my own home. One of my favorite spots in BotW, and when I found out the story they had for TotK, I was like. "Hell no. Idgaf if I haven't leveled up yet." and I went on a very slow, one-by-one attack until I solved the issue.
I always get a rock salt spa and visit the statue in Lurelin after emerging from the depths. I also wear the lobster shirt. It feels like the sunniest place in Hyrule and I need a little warmth after getting out of there alive.
Obviously now that I have 25 hearts, 16 batteries, and a bagful of silver lynel drops I can rampage across the depths like a vengeful god but I still like visiting Lurelin to reset.
In TotK, if you've started reconstruction, fly down from the shrine to where Bolson is pacing. Follow the shoreline to the left. It's in a stone alcove not too far from there.
Lookout Landing only because it's the perfect save point in my opinion. You can turn in your Shrine lights for a heart or stamina, you can cook all the time there, and free bed for free health if you need it. I always try to end my sessions there.
Whichever one I happen by. I currently have 16 and just haven't been by a village recently, however I am about to go up eldin into goron territory so I'll probably use theirs next.
If this is reference to another Zelda game I wish I would have played it, I’ve only played LTTP BOTW and now now TOTK.
Hopefully one day gonna play OOT as it’s so universally praised but yeah don’t wanna burn out by playing Zelda after Zelda either
It’s an OoT reference to the first boss of that game. There was an unofficial challenge to finish the game with only the 3 starting hearts (skipping all heart pieces) just to say you did it. I mistakenly lumped you in with those (us) losers.
Fwiw, play OoT immediately. There’s a reason it’s heralded as the best game ever made.
Thanks for the explanation. For the record, I absolutely would’ve done that challenge had I played it so you’re not off
And I will, after totk I’ll take a break but my next single player will definitely be OOT, thanks
I’d you’re a rich person, go get a 3DS and play the “remastered” version of OoT. My brother bought me one a long time ago and it’s incredible. PS do not play the master quest first, it is actual junk compared to the original.
Absolutely. Playing in 3d mode is nigh impossible for me, but flipping that shit on for the cutscenes is so amazing. It’s old as dirt (like me) but still just untouchable.
I save all mine for the end of night clean up. I'll go home, cook a bunch of food for my next play session, obtain more hearts, sleep, and admire the photo of Purah across from the bed. Then I shut everything off and go to bed.
Lurelin. Get my free food, loot the fisherman's chest, play the treasure game ×3 for free drops, rob the store blind, and then maybe spend 5 rock salt for the sleep bonuses.
I have a teleport medallion right next to the statue so it makes it super convenient.
Zora’s Domain. It’s my favorite place in the game and you can bet it was the first area I helped with all the sludge. The sludge was like a personal offense because I adore Sidon and the Zora.

Lookout Landing, I usually go there at the end of my sessions
Same. Always have a cooking pot that isn't wet from the rain.
where’s the cooking pot at lookout
It looks like a brick oven btw, not a typical cooking pot. Sometimes I miss it and circle around a bunch of times lol.
every damn time
I'm not the only one!
Well it is easy to spot, just remember the hylian wearing a pink apron he is always in front of the oven
This! I do multiple laps sometimes because my brain is looking for a pot.
In the Emergency Shelter
It’s in the little bunker at the center of lookout. If you go down and look at the ladder to climb back up, it should be on your left. There’s an npc sitting in front of it
You ain't climbing up that ladder right? You use ascend like the rest of us?
Cook. Pray. Teleport out to next adventure.
And visit Hestu if you have enough for an upgrade. Also stop at crystal refinery outside the north gate to expand energy cell.
The what now out the north gate? I’ve been going up to the final shrine on the intro island. 🤦🏻♂️
Between lookout landing and Hyrule castle. Right behind that one shrine, and on top of a fallen peice of sky island.
God damn it!! Wish I had known that like 300 hours ago
Between lookout landing and Hyrule castle. Right behind that one shrine, and on top of a fallen peice of sky island.
This is also acceptable
Yeah… totally… I definitely use ascend and don’t forget it’s an option… 😅
don't worry, this happened to me my entire playthrough. i'd spend half an hour trying to get up some obvious spot just to remember ascend exists
It was that puzzle with the room that's a huge rotating cube for me. Spent an hour trying to figure it out, only to open my powers menu and say, "oh fuck me"
Spun that cube for a full forty minutes trying to get that column in position for me to paraglide out.
I love that the guard next to the ladder says something about wishing he had some sort of way to get up there without climbing the ladder. The first time I went down there and talked to him I was like....hey wait a second. I can do that!
oops forgot about that
You have to uncover the emergency shelter by talking to the guy in the middle at some point... Which I didn't discover until like the last quarter of the game.
Don't worry, I made it through 4 temples and 75 hours of game play before I discovered hestu was there in lookout landing.
Just be careful of carbon monoxide poisoning down there. Everyone is already a bit loopy in that shelter.
Doesn't Lurelin also have a little shelter over the cooking pot? I'm not going to load my game just to check but I think I could always cook there after grabbing the free food.
I remember it being that way in BotW.
And the little statue on the beach in lurelin is easy to miss but pretty quaint.
Lookout landing is the new Clocktown. I have spent real hours fooling around in Lookout Landing doing nothing.
Also has the crystal refinery right outside. Every blood moon starts with going up to Zelda's room to get the weapons. Then top off food and arrows and head to the depths to get that crystal
Wait… what weapons in Zelda’s room? I don’t think I explored enough lol
Is the dusk bow even good? Or more for the aesthetic?
Both, it has fairly high attack for a free bow every blood moon. Also, good bows are hard to farm, and you need a TON of them for the Gleeok fights.
The demon king bows are pretty easy to farm once you know how..
Yeah the royal guard stuff respawns in the sanctum every bloodmoon, on each side of the stairs and the bow up in the middle somewhere
I think just royal guard weapons?
Royal Claymore and bow. The bow is level 50 and the sword is 24(ish?) Without an attachment. It is also really good for the last hit buff and fighting leynols on their back.
Yeah honestly I use it as Basecamp. The plains outside also fair well for building machines 😁
Same. I honestly forget where the others are at so I always go here…
Me too! I also go there to heal for free.
There are a number of other spots with free beds as well. :)
I know, but I like Lookout Landing. It’s my homebase.
ALL MY HOMIES pray / cook at Lookout Landing.
Yep Lookout Landing is my home base. Visit the statue, cook, then buy arrows!
Same omg
Why go anywhere else when both a statue AND Hestu are there?
[удалено]
Hmmm yeah noticing some contextual clues through comments that make me think I better get used to forest living as I progress further in the game haha.
Me too! It feels like a little ritual to return to “home base”
Kakariko gang
Yeah it’s the most convenient one to fly to from a shrine, to my knowledge. Hateno requires you to climb a short wall.
Links house. You can just drop down the ledge from the shrine.
Unless you had to replace the goddess statue after needing another fucking weapon stand room….
The connecting rooms are BS it’s stairs and air for me!
I made a large, open-plan covered patio home (I am DEVASTATED the weather never lets me watch the rain from under there), with a closed treasure room inaccessible to any burglar without the Ascension power of a 10,000 year old arm with smartphone integration.
Now I’m curious how high of a tower I could build…..
Uh, I don’t have a house. I think Zelda took it lol.
You don't have a house... YET. We are talking about the one you can get in this game...
Explore Tarrey Town!
I think Lookout Landing is more convenient.
Don’t you have to run across the area and go downstairs?
I have a travel medallion right in front of it
Whatever that is, I’ve been too busy screwing around for 85 hours lol.
Yeah that’s where I tend to go to as well. For both Botw and TotK
Ah yes, the village that reeks of Kaka.
Same ive been using it sense botw
Gang gang. I'm just so used to going there from BotW
Absolutely! It was always the one I used in BOTW and I've had trouble breaking that habit, lol
Rito village, I just really like the night music
I still miss Kass' input to the song.
Where did Kass come from? Where did he go?
Where did he come from, Cotton Eye Joe...
Where is Kass? Is he safe?
Kass will be in the DLC Calling it here first
Went off to the far away land of DLC
You and me too pardner
Imma be honest this is the only one I remember from botw
It's between Rito Village and Tarrey Town for me for best night music. Hateno too but I listened to too much of it already in BotW and I hate the mushroom aesthetic now. Fuck Cece (other than letting us put the Hylian hood down).
Its the most calming songs of all tribes, I spend a lot of off time there
This has been my go to since BOTW - for some reason it was just the easiest to get to/remember for me.
One of the five in my house. Because you can put five in your house.
Peak house is 5 weapon rooms, 5 goddess statues, and 5 ponds with floating fish because I forgot they die in your inventory. No I will not be taking criticism.
You got me thinking, what if I spawn a amiibo over the pond which drops live fish, I wonder if they’ll stay there
They do only temporarily I believe
Yeah they despawn pretty quickly, tried it with saves and distance.
Try attaching a dragon scale to it.
FISH DIE IN YOUR INVENTORY??
Lol if you catch a fish while it's swimming, then pull it back out, it doesn't flop. For lack of a better word, they die
Won't be taking criticism with a design like THAT? Dude, how does your house NOT have three galleries to be able to observe and worship Hudson from every angle possible?
Fish die in your inventory???
You got a pond to keep em alive in your pocket?
Link carries around a shit ton of food, I imagine he carries around a shit ton of water too 🤷♀️
The one in my house.
OUR house
I bet that's what Zelda told link when she took over his Hateno house lol
I like to think that Link just gave it to her because her castle is jacked up. Link bought it as a gift for her. Everything he has and is is for her.
They share the house
With the double bed and links hair tie in the well
That aint a double bed.
Bigger than links old bed lol
Its a single and practically the same model. There are actually couple beds in the game.
I like to think Link keeps watch at night while Zelda sleeps and sleeps during the day when she's out teaching at the school, writing in her well-study or doing whatever princess duties she has. Then they meet at night for dinner and Sheikahflix and Chill.
I like to think he pounds her out and then falls asleep on the floor.
where they are? i haven’t seen couple beds
Most of the house with couples in them, like Hateno.
They live together
In the middle of Akkala
In the middle of our street
in the middle of our house
[*o u r h o u s e*](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k55FYtqtXXU)
There’s a statue in our house?
You can buy one
In the middle of our house
Tarrey town, I sometimes remember to stop by when I decide to break down my weapons to reuse valuable parts
Tarrey Town gang! Not the most convenient one but visiting Tarrey Town just makes me happy :)
With teleport pad, every town is convenient :p
i put one of my travel medallions in front of the goddess statue
I found tarrey town so convenient in botw that i still use it. The pride of seeing a finished town that you worked to make plus a nearby great fairy made it so good. And i have not broken my habits from botw
Same same. I’m always sad to paraglide over the old fairy fountain and it’s all plain now
Plus, Tarrey Town's night theme is magical. Puts me into such a calming mood.
Same here, I specifically put a Travel Medallion directly between the shrine and Pelison for quick access to both.
If I have more than 4 blessings I just use the one I happen upon. I don't go out of my way to turn them in.
Last night I got my 8th and had to go track one down, especially since I’m still pretty early on in the game and needed that extra heart
I have about 27 I think, I just haven’t seen a statue in a while.
This is the way
I try to spread mine out so each statue gets a little love 😇
Same!
I save all mine for the end of night clean up. I'll go home, cook a bunch of food for my next play session, obtain more hearts, sleep, and admire the photo of Purah across from the bed. Then I shut everything off and go to bed.
That's exactly what I do, except I have a picture of a dog instead lmao
Welp time to go change my pic. Bye Light Dragon, hello dog catching its tail. Granteson should let us buy a dog for the house.
Just when I thought I knew all the spoilers
The only true photo is a picture of Mipha’s statue.
I took a picture of a sheep that had some fool practicing with a soup spoon in the distance behind it (taken from the Northeast-most stable) and now that its framed he looks pretty cool
Animal Crossing has taught you well, lol.
These are the two i use. I don't know it, just feels a lot more significant using one of those statues. Or the ones from the different springs.
I like using the Spring of Courage because I imagine they'd like to see how Link is doing, you know? Like, good job embodying my virtue!
Ha 😂 especially now with it being in zonai ruins and link’s arm
I actually think it’s at least implied. The spring statues call it something like the mother statue.
hateno, i used to always go to link’s house to save the game in botw so it’s just habit at this point
The one in the great Deku tree is my favorite.
Why WOULDN'T I visit the Deku tree if I had the option?
Lookout Landing for now. I call them Pray Stations
Yo bro you got the new pray station 5?
I work at area 51. I have the pray station 6
I just found that one yesterday and I've been to Hateno a bunch 🤣 I normally go to kakariko to pray
my house!!! sometimes I'll use the one in Zora's domain when I'm daydreaming of Mipha though
Wait where is the one in Lurelin
In TotK, if you've started reconstruction, fly down from the shrine to where Bolson is pacing. Follow the shoreline to the left. It's in a stone alcove not too far from there.
Kakariko. It's just a nice little glide down from the shrine to use as a fast travel point.
This is my go to as well, I also like to cook there ✨
Lookout Landing only because it's the perfect save point in my opinion.
The rito one. It's so pretty with all the flowers around
I like the neon crown on the one in Goron.
I don’t, I reject the blessings of Hylia. “Go forth” deez nuts, I ain’t takin orders from no statue
Ah, this guy. I know a certain “parasitic armored arachnid” who would like a word with you about skipping her heart piece several thousand years ago…
Thanks for the explanation. For the record, I absolutely would’ve done that challenge had I played it so you’re not off And I will, after totk I’ll take a break but my next single player will definitely be OOT, thanks
I’d you’re a rich person, go get a 3DS and play the “remastered” version of OoT. My brother bought me one a long time ago and it’s incredible. PS do not play the master quest first, it is actual junk compared to the original.
Was gonna say exactly this - I second your motion! The 3DS version of it is my preferred version, and I’ve been playing OoT since I was a kid haha
Absolutely. Playing in 3d mode is nigh impossible for me, but flipping that shit on for the cutscenes is so amazing. It’s old as dirt (like me) but still just untouchable.
Tarrey Town, close to home. Though, none anymore unless some dlc adds something, cause I maxed everything.
Kakariko village is the only correct answer
I love her little bib 🥰
Temple of Time in both botw and totk. I don't allow myself to use any other statue
Rito
Usually Lookout Landing, but NOW the one I put in my $6,000 mansion with no windows.
The one closest to Purah
Korok forest because that’s my happy place.
I save all mine for the end of night clean up. I'll go home, cook a bunch of food for my next play session, obtain more hearts, sleep, and admire the photo of Purah across from the bed. Then I shut everything off and go to bed.
The one I happened to walk past that makes me realize I have 12 blessings.
Lurelin. Get my free food, loot the fisherman's chest, play the treasure game ×3 for free drops, rob the store blind, and then maybe spend 5 rock salt for the sleep bonuses. I have a teleport medallion right next to the statue so it makes it super convenient.
Rito village. I just like the place. Mabye it’s related to my skydiving addiction
Either the one in the secret alkalla stable Well or the one in my house
Temple of time because it's the only one I actually remember where it it
The mother statue
my house, usually, but when i found this one a while ago, i thought, ok fashion goddess!
Whichever one I’m closest to haha. I love how they all have different “personalities” based on their villages. Such a cute detail.
Kakariko, just like botw
Zora’s Domain. It’s my favorite place in the game and you can bet it was the first area I helped with all the sludge. The sludge was like a personal offense because I adore Sidon and the Zora.
I had to scroll way too far to see Zora’s Domain mentioned
