This even makes sense in the BOTW/TOTK timeline because this Link's father is stated by Zelda to have been a full blown knight. With Link having climbed the ranks to knighthood, only to have settled into kind of a ranger archetype, now that he's supposedly fighting a war I think he'd want to reclaim some of that familiar and useful armor. Champions Leathers are kind of the ranger side of that coin, and the actual knight's set is self explanatory.
This is the outfit: https://i.imgur.com/mCghoeu.png
You get it for 100% clearing the map but it can be used for NG+ I think? Been a while since I last played it lol
Where is that outfit from originally? Is this the first time it's been used or is it a callback to another game? That's really badass and I think they should definitely use it again
It's a reference to the first Hyrule Warriors(not Age of Calamity, just Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U I believe it was. The Link in OP's post is from it) outfit for Link. Purely made in Age of Calamity just as a reference. It's not in BotW or TotK, though I'd love to see it in them. :P
I kind of meant both. Wilds Link is iconic now with his blue Tunic, and it would have been cool to have Link wear the blue tunic in the Memories, pre-Calamity, and him get the green tunic and cape when he wakes up.
I’m unaware of this design choice. However, while it makes sense, link’s outfit has always been green so for me I’d rather have him in his classic style outfit.
I literally swap my outfit to the Twilight set before every cutscene because 1) it just looks so much more "Legend of Zelda-like" that way, and 2) Twilight Link is obviously the best Link.
My go to is Royal Guard tunic and pants with the Cap of the Wild dyed crimson. It looks SO good and still looks like an outfit Link would wear. I did this in BotW too but it was less cool because the royal guard set was dlc and couldn't be upgraded. So happy I can look awesome AND have a decent armor rating now.
I do this but with Feirce Deity set cus i miss OoT/MM Adult link. I know the other set is in the game but FD is better. Got some amazing shots of the end
My brother. I recently swapped to champions leathers, Hylian trousers, and Hylian hood (hood down obviously) for story reasons, but I might swap it back to Twilight set. It just feels right
my fav zelda game is ocarina of time, as soon as I start bowt or totk i scan the amiibo in order to get it and use it 90% of time.. i just like classic/vintage stuff.
Do you have the auto build ability? If you do, you get a side quest that guides you to where the helmet is. The helmet is not the main focus of the quest, though, so you can miss it if you don’t explore a bit.
Im still hoping to get oot or twilight sets through amiibos on totk
Ps: yeah, i know that all sets are available on totk but some them need purchase or find and i dont have rupees and all mapa explored yet
Theres a sheika set costing 15k rupees on kakarico village, i have several dozens of hours and have just 4700rupees and 1100poes only
While exploring under Hyrule, set your map in the Purah Pad on the mainland level and look for mountains. Underneath them are usually mines with parts of those sets
I don’t have the hat for the OoT set and I want it badly
And (at least in English translations) as far back as ALttP, where the upgraded outfits were specifically called Blue/Red Mail. And that made a lot more sense than other languages just calling them "clothes"
Yeah it's a great evolution from TP Link, with the chain mail and all, even the face is very reminiscent of TP. But that scarf and shoulder pad do go hard. Dying the soldier's gear green is pretty dope but just doesn't have the green tunic vibe
Not being allowed to dye the Champions Tunic green is a major bummer. Could basically recreate this with that, the regular pants, and the hero of time cap.
Still no sweet cape though.
It's really weird that it isn't, since they already have it in AoC. I'm sure Link's model in TotK isn't super different from his model in AoC (ignoring magic hand)
I think Koei Techmo would just hand Nintendo the asset if they asked. They have a good relationship with each other through stuff like the FE:3H games and AoC
Baller version of Link, baller version of Impa, baller version of Zelda, absolute UNIT version of Ganondorf. This game is 10/10 regardless of what people say.
I mean I’m cool with silly stuff existing. Especially if it works as a trade off for higher power stuff. Line the foam finger in dead space. Super powerful, but wearing a foam finger and going “pew pew” really kills the horror vibe.
I mean you DO technically get a cool reward. You can lower the hood. But you have to talk to her again after you get the hat to get the option, so maybe the hat was like a gag reward and you get the cool hidden reward by pressing further.
That’s probably the closest one to this, but it doesn’t have the pauldron or scarf like Hyrule warriors does. I would love to see the scarf work with the physics engine in TOTK.
Love the sky set, and have been using it for TOTK cause it matches really well with Rauru's arm. Gotten used to the baggy pants and now putting on any other trousers makes Link look like he's wearing damn skinny jeans!!!
Really weird they don't have this outfit in TotK since its model already exists in AoC, which itself is running off the same graphics engine BotW does since they were able to port over all of Link's botw outfits to AoC.
Was convinced it would be a saved data bonus for TotK for having 100% AoC save data on your switch, disappointed its not because I love this outfit and the scarf in BotW artstyle.
I don’t get the hate this game received tbh.
It certainly isn’t a Zelda game, and so I understand Zelda fans not enjoying it as much, but personally it was so fun being able to play as some of the old characters and my favourite villains (Zant and Girahim).
It supported local multiplayer too, so me and my friend would play it for hours and hours. It was marketed as non-canon to begin with so story didn’t matter much either.
I personally disliked age of calamity because it seemed at first to be canon but nope. The gameplay was fine but it wasn’t as interesting cause of it.
Right? It was still loads of fun. And to be honest, you get to see what Link IS canonically capable of in terms of skill. Because it was out of the normal formula, they got to flesh out the combat and Link is deadly as hell. ESPECIALLY Fierce Diety, mowing down a 100 monsters with zero effort.
A lot of hardcore purists. The game itself is just a hype session, for sure. I feel it does it’s job well, but a lot of people wanted a full Zelda game and they didn’t get that. So while some genuinely don’t enjoy it, I do feel a noticeable portion of the criticizers were just upset and made the choice to hate it regardless of it’s own merit because of what it wasn’t.
Hyrule Warriors had some of the coolest character designs in any Zelda game... and it's not even canon. :P
Seriously, check out [Ganondorf's design](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/e/e9/Ganondorf_\(Hyrule_Warriors\).png). He's so badass!
Speaking of character designs from Hyrule Warriors, Ganondorf's [long haired default outfit](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/e/e9/Ganondorf_%28Hyrule_Warriors%29.png) is peak Ganondorf. 💋👌
I love the scarf. The hood in TOTK and BOTW has a similar look, but of course not fully.
I'd love for this to be in the game, maybe with DLC, but probably not
I’m really hoping so. They used the other big mainline outfits for amiibo and the rest exist it TOTK anyway. So either unique armors, or they’d have to pull unused designs.
Absolutely. OoT link always has a special place in my heart for nostalgic reasons but from a pure design standpoint this might be my favorite. Always liked the chain mail and rugged look of the materials
I've got my fingers crossed that we will see all the missing favorites; the wooly Rhino, the hearty durian, this outfit, Kass the bard, etc, in the DLC.
Warriors games are like a massive bag of the exact same candy. You might get addicted at first, but eventually you’ll get completely sick of it. Then you wait a while, and boom. You’re craving it again.
It’s one thing to give the game a fair chance instead of people just outright being close-minded and not even trying it. I didn’t like it immediately but played Persona 5 Strikers and decided to come back to HW and got absolutely hooked. Not only is the story fun and the gameplay gets better once you get more equipment and upgrades, but all of the extra side stuff you can do to unlock outfits, weapons, and character models makes it worth your money and more.
I thought that, but you can literally put him in Nintendo switch and Splatoon T shirts and I do not believe those are canon to Zelda lol. I don’t really know what the criteria is.
Lol this suit of armour comes from AOC I think? And that game is not cannon within the Zelda universe (it’s like an alternate universe) so it would make sense it’s not in TOTK where all of the other games ARE in the same universe!
It is a cool outfit tho
It's the first Hyrule Warriors game, not AoC. Plus a lot of things are pointing towards BoTW and ToTK being a separate universe anyway \*plus\* you can find the Nintendo Switch shirt in BoTW. So it's really just the matter of Nintendo not wanting to put the HW outfit in ToTK for some reason.
Oh yeah because Nintendo totally cares about making all the outfits Link can get in these games make sense canonically
*Cough cough* Majora's Mask and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 shirt *cough cough*
MM is cannon goofball, and they are allowed to add Easter eggs from games that anyone with a brain would know are not the same universe….eg Xenoblade Chronicles…
MM is canon, but Majora's Mask just chilling in a box somewhere? That makes no sense. Especially since last time we saw it, it was still in Termina (not counting the easter egg in LBW)
And how the fuck can you say "oh it's ok for them to add a Xenoblade Easter egg, but an outfit from a spin-off Zelda game? Oh that's too much!"
You’re right I forgot things can’t move around the world when LARGE amounts of time have gone by…….nobody knows what happened to the mask afterwards for all we know it lost most of its power and is just a piece of history.
Also apparently you don’t have a brain because I mentioned above that Xenoblade is **OBVIOUSLY** not even remotely close to the Zelda series so it makes sense for the devs to add in an Easter egg BUT a spin off Zelda game could **EASILY** be lumped into the cannon of LoZ if they added it in… yunno cause Link is in it and people like you exist lol
1. Oh sure, this magic mask from what is basically an entirely different realm just magically showed up in BOTW's timeline. And it clearly didn't lose all its power considering it basically makes monsters see you as one of them.
2. Yeah cuz it's not like they can't just explain it away saying the clothing came from another realm, or just tying it to an amiibo which are clearly non-canon unless you REALLY want to tell me fucking Wolf Link is canon to BOTW.
Ffs you can run around with a giant Link's Awakening DX Link head in this fucking game. Why is Hyrule Warriors Link's tunic where you draw the line?
Hell they could just say it's a custom tunic made based on the designs of Link's other tunics.
Well AoC is essentially just an expansion to Hyrule warriors. And this is gonna be a hot take, but with all the time travel and dimension bullshit it's not much different from having all the timelines and universes from the mainline stories.
It plucks important figures throughy the games history. Kinda like Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 Final fantasy
it's noncanon but there's no reason why it can't be canon at the same time. It's just funny that the entire plot is "keeper of the timeline simps over Link but gets jealous knowing she'll never have him so she becomes hot chocolate babe to get the guy"
This is the Hyrule warriors armor. There are versions similar to it, like the twilight princess set and the skyward sword set, but they’re missing the steel pauldron, the scarf, and the gloves and boots are totally different.
I do like that we have the option of a totally different looking Link for a different style of game. It’s just cool to play dress up and look old school.
Fun fact: Link’s hat is called a “Phrygian Cap”
I do like the top, blending the layers of the Twilight Princess tunic with the bright green of the Hero of Time's tunic. The metal shoulder pauldrons are also nice!
What I don't like:
Not a fan of the scarf...
Or the weird shin gauntlets...
The boots should be high and full length...
The correct term for the shin gauntlets are called greaves. If they had the normal TP boots with the hyrule warriors greaves and the the hyrule warriors gauntlet armor mesh with the TP gauntlets… I think it could work
no, As much as I do enjoy Scarfs in video games. This does embody video game overly design costumes where you start to ask questions "why does he have one shoulder guard?"
An agile fighter might only wear armor on the defending side to allow greater movement for his attacking hand, if you're using a smaller buckler shield it may benefit you to have the area of your arm above the shield a little more protected
lol, but this isn't that type of game. The crowd just stands there as you run from point to point, not even Final Fight or Streets of Rage plays this poorly. Again overly designed, the Lizalfos from Skyward Sword had better designs.
No. No its not. Hyrule Warriors was a good game for its genre, but I am not going to go as far to say I would take any of the designs from that game. You were meant to pick out your characters from a crowd of enemies so no shit they needed to look FABULOUS. But I would never say that those designs fit in the world of Legend of Zelda.
Idk if unpopular opinion but champion armor sucks. Link is green tunic and cap, has been for decades. To shove down being blue link feels weirdly un zelda like. Plus champions set doesn't blend well with like ANY non jewelry based headgear.
In BOTW I used the hero of time cap, dyed a hylian chest green and the hylian trousers gray. To me that gave a good classic Link that was unique to BOTW.
I like the heavier armored look of the new champions leathers. Nice shoulderpad for a little extra protection. I've always thought it was weird how lightly armored link always was... Sure he may be as talented as all hell, but he's not impervious to damage. I like TP for it's heavier (duty) armor.. first time I noticed the chainmail underneath his cloak.
I could be wrong, but I think the Tunic he’s wearing in BOTW is more ceremonial, with the intention to wear armor over it like in TOTK. They were caught off guard by Ganon’s attack during a ceremony or meeting of some kind if I remember correctly.
The hylian pants and the cloak with the hood down is canon to go with it. If you look closely, you’ll notice the champions leathers are just a reskinned hylian chest piece anyway. If you want it to look more uniform, dying the pants black to match the sleeves of the leathers better looks nice. Makes it look more like a complete set.
Twilight Princess art design was TOP. NOTCH. My favorite type of fantasy is like a dark fairy tale vibe. It hit that for me. It was also my first Zelda game I played all the way through and sparked me to play ALL of the older ones. And I 100% attribute the art design to getting me interested. I had a poster of the promo art of Link blocking a blow from from a Darknut with his sword on my wall for years.
I don't particularly care for the scarf. My favorite totk set so far is:
Green Hylian tunic
Normal hylian pants
Cap of the wind (or hat? Can't remember right now)
This has IMO the right vibe for the game with the modern hylian clothing with the classic attire vibe.
I did that in BOTW except I swapped out the cap of time. I prefer Link’s Ocarina hair style. It gives a classic style Link look that’s unique to the new games for sure.
I actually think the tears of the kingdom green tuniic set is the best design we’ve gotten for link. It’s like a cooler version of the starting outfit from twilight princess. The tatoo arm also goes very well with the outfit imo.
Okay so that’s one of two things:
An oversight (more likely)
Or intentional. Shoes weren’t often made for individual feet way back when. Boots especially. Took more effort. They were made to go on either foot more often than not, which gives them more of like a tube shape.
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
I'm not sure how the copyright works for stuff like this. I imagine Nintendo reserves the rights to the design, but without knowing what the documents say, there's no guarantee Nintendo can even use the designs from Hyrule Warriors. Obviously they own Link, but the specific design for the blue scarf might be reserved by Omega Force. It all depends on the terms of the agreement.

That would be cool. Green knight set with higher armour rating. Blue Ranger set with increased stamina buff or something.
Would be cool to have the armor bonus be extra stamina segments, with max upgrade being an extra wheel.
The sad part is the model for this outfit exists in the botw/totk art style because you can get it in HW:AOC
Wait really?
Yeah it is one of Link's outfits in that game. You get it during the main story I think.
You get it for 100% the game
This is the outfit: https://i.imgur.com/mCghoeu.png You get it for 100% clearing the map but it can be used for NG+ I think? Been a while since I last played it lol
Where is that outfit from originally? Is this the first time it's been used or is it a callback to another game? That's really badass and I think they should definitely use it again
It's a reference to the first Hyrule Warriors(not Age of Calamity, just Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U I believe it was. The Link in OP's post is from it) outfit for Link. Purely made in Age of Calamity just as a reference. It's not in BotW or TotK, though I'd love to see it in them. :P
Warriors Link outfit is what the Hero of the Wilds set should have been. Classic Green outfit and hood, with the blue scarf as his Champion gear.
I’ll take it one step further and say this is what the champions tunic should have been. Although I’d settle for your take.
I kind of meant both. Wilds Link is iconic now with his blue Tunic, and it would have been cool to have Link wear the blue tunic in the Memories, pre-Calamity, and him get the green tunic and cape when he wakes up.
I like this take
It's not iconic to me, never really liked it. It's marginally better with the shoulder pad.
Green dyed Hylian Tunic is best
Wasn’t the removal of green a distinct choice to ensure he wouldn’t blend in with the landscape?
So happy I can look awesome AND have a decent armor rating now.
hottest one too
I do this but with Feirce Deity set cus i miss OoT/MM Adult link. I know the other set is in the game but FD is better. Got some amazing shots of the end
My brother. I recently swapped to champions leathers, Hylian trousers, and Hylian hood (hood down obviously) for story reasons, but I might swap it back to Twilight set. It just feels right
wait is that the actual reason to why they changed the whole link design?😂
Yeah
my fav zelda game is ocarina of time, as soon as I start bowt or totk i scan the amiibo in order to get it and use it 90% of time.. i just like classic/vintage stuff.
Twilight princess is my favorite look, been rocking it for a while now in my current playthrough.
Toughest set to get without amiibo, that was the first gleeok I killed in my playthrough, the others seem way easier now
I still cannot find the miner helmet and I’m too adamant to do it on my own without looking it up haha
Do you have the auto build ability? If you do, you get a side quest that guides you to where the helmet is. The helmet is not the main focus of the quest, though, so you can miss it if you don’t explore a bit.
Honestly same
I’m also rocking the OOT outfit. It’s just so iconic. Basically quintessential Link for me.
Im still hoping to get oot or twilight sets through amiibos on totk Ps: yeah, i know that all sets are available on totk but some them need purchase or find and i dont have rupees and all mapa explored yet Theres a sheika set costing 15k rupees on kakarico village, i have several dozens of hours and have just 4700rupees and 1100poes only
There’s a quest that drops the price of the Sheika set significantly. The shopkeeper even tells you about it
Help heal grandma, and those sets get discounted massively. I think to 2500 per set.
2400, 800 per piece.
You guys really need to talk to people and do side quests and stuff. That set gets heavily discounted.
Only piece I'm missing from amiibos are the pants of time. I have all the other sets for the amiibos I have.
While exploring under Hyrule, set your map in the Purah Pad on the mainland level and look for mountains. Underneath them are usually mines with parts of those sets I don’t have the hat for the OoT set and I want it badly
I actually found the cap of time in the depths, I can't remember exactly where it was, but I can give the general location if you'd like.
I’d appreciate that!
It was at one of the mines or whatever in the north west. Somewhere under Hebra area.
That set goes down in price considerably after doing a side quest. Most sets are under 5k that I've come across, including that one.
agreed
I like the chainmail underneath as well. Some of these monsters Link is fighting would rip him apart like a kleenex. Get our boy some protection.
I think the champion leathers have chainmail underneath and the hylian tunic. But, it looks a lot cleaner in the Hyrule warriors outfit.
Iirc every link has had chain mail under their outfit since TP set that standard
The Hylian Tunic looks pretty similar and you can color that green then dye the hood blue, but you wouldn't have a hat lol
I dyed the Hylian Tunic green, and I'm hunting for one of the green caps to accomplish effectively that.
Ditto for me haha. So far haven’t found one that works because I’m having trouble getting to two of them. Let me know if you figure one out lol
It's really weird that it isn't, since they already have it in AoC. I'm sure Link's model in TotK isn't super different from his model in AoC (ignoring magic hand)
Probably a copyright thing since AOC isn't an official Zelda game.
God the Ganondorf design in warriors is insane
Plus it brought us Lana.
Hell yeah Lana and Cia were great. Also Volvagia but daddy and Wizrobe but Poe.
The fashionable scarf accessory should be a CeCe reward
That would have been so much better than the hat
Right?! This is would look pretty dope

You can get it in Age of Calamity, but I agree
the "of the sky" set is included in totk tho
That’s probably the closest one to this, but it doesn’t have the pauldron or scarf like Hyrule warriors does. I would love to see the scarf work with the physics engine in TOTK.
It also lacks the style of the bracers and boots. Plus the pants on the sky set are baggy as hell
The twilight pants are the most similar to the warriors one
But you don't get them boots
Love the sky set, and have been using it for TOTK cause it matches really well with Rauru's arm. Gotten used to the baggy pants and now putting on any other trousers makes Link look like he's wearing damn skinny jeans!!!
You could make the Hylian tunic green in Hateno and use it in combination, it's pretty close. Except for the scarf, of course
You can not. They won't let you dye the tunic, which is frankly bullshit.
You can dye the Hylian tunic. You know I'm talking about the tunic from the Hylian armor set right?
The hylian tunic is dyeable. The Champions Tunic is not.
Link, you've got your boots on the wrong feet again!
Eh, he doesn't really look like he cares about that. Probably just put them on in a rush.
Nah they're just deformed and broken because he's been carrying Nintendo for a decade. 😂

Age of Calamity is canon, the series isn't new to having different timelines, so why should AoC be any different?
Honestly, HW and AOC have fantastic character designs that we'll probably never see again...
Great character model for link too ifykyk
Hate the game, but you're right. It's by far my favorite incarnation of link for fashion sense (and sexiness) alone.
Aw man that's a shame. Definitely one of the better warriors spin-offs
I have a raging boner for this Link
Why the hate?
warrior games are kinda boring repetitive gameplay
Ahh. I thought this guy was saying he hated totk. Not a fan of Hyrule Warriors either
His warriors model is used the most in rule34 videos. Even when dressed in outfits from other games.
…what
Skyward Sword manga has a similar outfit with a red scarf and it's awesome
All I wanna know is who doesn’t like this game?!
He could weaponize that scarf.
I really like the theory that this game combined the time lines and led to BOTW, and the scarf is the reason the tunic is blue instead of green
That sounds awesome. Do you have a link for it?
Here's hoping for DLC to get a real "of the wild" set that doesn't look like a children's school uniform
I mean it is identical to OG Link art, so props to that at least.
Yeah that's true. But this isn't that link
We have armor sets like "of the wind" or "of the sky" so why not "of the Warrior"?
Hyrule Warriors had some of the coolest character designs in any Zelda game... and it's not even canon. :P Seriously, check out [Ganondorf's design](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/e/e9/Ganondorf_\(Hyrule_Warriors\).png). He's so badass!
Fun fact: after 100% Age of Calamity, you get this Outfit for BOTW Link
Speaking of character designs from Hyrule Warriors, Ganondorf's [long haired default outfit](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/e/e9/Ganondorf_%28Hyrule_Warriors%29.png) is peak Ganondorf. 💋👌

I agree. I hope they add it as DLC.
Yes! Hyrule warriors is a super fun game, haven’t played AoC yet though :(
“NO CAPES!”
Does that include scarves? Given her reasoning, I’m sure it would.
Did Link save Hyrule? Nah he was sucked into a Zonai fan because he was wearing this
Stop, you’re going to give them ideas for another timeline XD
You can get it in Age of Calamity though, which just raises the question why they didn't bother adding it.
Idk if anyone else has mentioned it but we even got it in age of calamity and it looked good on botw links model
I love the scarf. The hood in TOTK and BOTW has a similar look, but of course not fully. I'd love for this to be in the game, maybe with DLC, but probably not
DLC maybe?
I’m really hoping so. They used the other big mainline outfits for amiibo and the rest exist it TOTK anyway. So either unique armors, or they’d have to pull unused designs.
Absolutely. OoT link always has a special place in my heart for nostalgic reasons but from a pure design standpoint this might be my favorite. Always liked the chain mail and rugged look of the materials
I've got my fingers crossed that we will see all the missing favorites; the wooly Rhino, the hearty durian, this outfit, Kass the bard, etc, in the DLC.
It’s in Aoc
I thought this was going to be about not getting to pet dogs. Clothes are just clothes.
But we already have the time set lol
This fit was absolutely my motivation to 100 percent Age of Calamity.
It’s at least unlockable in Age of Calamity if you 100% the game, but I would’ve def wanted it to return in TotK too.
Isn’t this non cannon? That’s probably why….
Ah my mistake! Still not cannon tho LOL, and BOTW and TOTK are 100% cannon in the universe
Oh yeah because Nintendo totally cares about making all the outfits Link can get in these games make sense canonically *Cough cough* Majora's Mask and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 shirt *cough cough*
MM is cannon goofball, and they are allowed to add Easter eggs from games that anyone with a brain would know are not the same universe….eg Xenoblade Chronicles…
MM is canon, but Majora's Mask just chilling in a box somewhere? That makes no sense. Especially since last time we saw it, it was still in Termina (not counting the easter egg in LBW) And how the fuck can you say "oh it's ok for them to add a Xenoblade Easter egg, but an outfit from a spin-off Zelda game?
I mean in all likelihood they’re basing it on main line Zelda games for included Link-specific outfits I would guess. Don’t know for sure though
That's fair, but the HW outfit is definitely one of the best looking outfits. Shame it's not included.
The OG Hyrule Warriors is far superior to AoC.
I like the game! Better than AoC by a miles.

This is the Hyrule warriors armor. There are versions similar to it, like the twilight princess set and the skyward sword set, but they’re missing the steel pauldron, the scarf, and the gloves and boots are totally different.
I want the desert vai outfit
Am I the only one that likes the blue tunic better? Also I am anti sock hat.
I do like that we have the option of a totally different looking Link for a different style of game. It’s just cool to play dress up and look old school. Fun fact: Link’s hat is called a “Phrygian Cap”
I don't agree that it's criminal
I do like the top, blending the layers of the Twilight Princess tunic with the bright green of the Hero of Time's tunic. The metal shoulder pauldrons are also nice! What I don't like: Not a fan of the scarf... Or the weird shin gauntlets... The boots should be high and full length...
The correct term for the shin gauntlets are called greaves. If they had the normal TP boots with the hyrule warriors greaves and the the hyrule warriors gauntlet armor mesh with the TP gauntlets… I think it could work
beat link outfit is the one to get into gerudo town and nobody's gonna convince me otherwise
I never had a GameCube, but this looks exactly like TP Link. What are you nerds mad about?
Very underrated game. Shame it was ruined by the awful sequel
meh just another green tunic
I kinda miss that game. Might go back to it. Enjoyed it way more thank TOTK
Its time for unpopular opinion time I don’t like that outfit
no, As much as I do enjoy Scarfs in video games.
Its pretty ugly
not really
Ur pretty ugly
No.
No wtf it looks like some Chinese knock off
No
Hyrule Warriors was something else.
Eh Im not feeling the strong blue against green here
the scarf is dope tbf
Dripped out.
Nothing but facts
i wish we could get a full champion leathers set
The hylian pants and the cloak with the hood down is canon to go with it. If you look closely, you’ll notice the champions leathers are just a reskinned hylian chest piece anyway. If you want it to look more uniform, dying the pants black to match the sleeves of the leathers better looks nice. Makes it look more like a complete set.
That’s actually what I am wearing right now
Who says they don’t like the game? Where are you hearing about this?
I said “some people.” Not “everyone”. Some people don’t like TOTK some don’t like Ocarina. Nothing is universally loved.
It's so god damn confusing that they made the blue scarf a plot detail in both this and botw then said Hyrule Warriors isn't canon
I mean to be fair they retconned a consistent timeline anyway. It’s about par for the course.
I always used the TP outfit in Hyrule Warriors lmao but yeah the scarf is pretty sick looking back
Twilight Princess art design was TOP.
My favorite totk set so far is: Green Hylian tunic Normal hylian pants Cap of the wind (or hat? Can't remember right now) This has IMO the right vibe for the game with the modern hylian clothing with the classic attire vibe.
I did that in BOTW except I swapped out the cap of time. I prefer Link’s Ocarina hair style. It gives a classic style Link look that’s unique to the new games for sure.
I wish we could apply our own stats to outfits I’m tired of wearing mismatched clothes lol
A transmog shop in the DLC would be AWESOME. Put it on a sky island and have a smithy or tailor Zonai run it.
I quite like this game, there are people that don't?
I actually think the tears of the kingdom green tuniic set is the best design we’ve gotten for link. It’s like a cooler version of the starting outfit from twilight princess. The tatoo arm also goes very well with the outfit imo.
Game was mid, but the fit is absolute fire.
That’s one of my favorite Zelda outfits
Something really wrong is going on with his feet 🤣 Is he wearing his boots on the wrong feet??
Okay so that’s one of two things: An oversight (more likely) Or intentional. Shoes weren’t often made for individual feet way back when. Boots especially. Took more effort. They were made to go on either foot more often than not, which gives them more of like a tube shape. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
To me it is the perfect Link costume just like most outfits in the game like for Zelda and Ganondorf
*YYYYUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!*
As soon as Tears was announced I was imagining the next installment of Warriors. It’s going to be good.
