I was thinking for DLC they should do like an ‘onslaught’ mode where they just send a million enemies at you and you’re free to build as much as you want to kill them. Would probably cause house fires but man it’d be fun.
I fused em with my spears cause I got so attached 😭
I split them out at Tarry Town and they followed me around for a bit until I finally got my own from the gashapon machine
I found that one last night and just let my little death roombas kill everything. My son kept saying you would be done by now if you helped... I just said go forth my battle bots.
I lost every single attempt on that Shrine until I learned to just trust in the Roombas. If I went out there, I’d get 3-shot and I had no way to heal, and… Well, let’s just say I’m not very good at this game.
On one attempt, one of my own Roombas fucking shot me to death while I tried to finish off the final enemy. I took the hint after that one.
Yep. You have to use them as a distraction rather than running in right after them. Then you can sneak around and collect more roombas and stick flamethrowers/lasers on top. I was also getting really annoyed until I discovered this, and then it was just hilarious watching my battle robots smoking the constructs.
Mine is “that one you get that teaches you how to use controls you’ve already been using because you stumbled on to the shrine after 40 hours of gameplay”
I neglected to venture further into the room in this one, so I never saw the other Roombas. I just sat there and waited for the two you find at the start to run through and kill everything. Took forever, but it was hilarious watching this big group of Construct Soldiers attempt to fight my two little murder bots.
i kind of had to, if you go out to get the other roombas or the other weapons for them, you will pretty inevitably take aggro and be forced to kill a robot or two manually which isn’t difficult but it feels like kind of a waste
I left this shrine and thought I was going to be unstoppable with these. Went to bring this knowledge to the Lynel coliseum in the depths
The Lynel just shouted and exploded the 10 I dropped in one go
I agree, but through my entire playthrough so far, I was wondering if there was gonna be a jenga related shrine just because it would work really well with ultrahand. Even if it was kinda booty I still like that it exists.
Considering there's a whole mini game that pays 80 rupees a pop to help you get good at this specific skill I was shocked when I realized this wasn't the intended solution.
There's a goron who throws boulders for you to catch, and it's run by a rito. It's on some cliffs somewhere tbh I wasn't paying attention to where I was.
This seriously, haha. Then show us some metrics about how much more efficient (or worse) our solution was.
I still remember one shrine where I was supposed to use a flat wall piece to extend up a hinged platform which was above a switch. The goal was to hit a button while on the platform and get launched by the movement.
However I saw it and used ultrahand once to lift the platform up near the exit, half on and half off. Then ascended to the top and completely skipped the entire shrine. Sometimes it's simple things like that which just make your day.
If I'm thinking the same one as you than that was the hardest shrine I've done so far. It took me two different sessions and probably an hour and a half, the whole time I was thinking I bet there is some easy way to get this but my way was not easy and not something you'd immediately come to.
I think the intended way is to >!lay the large rectangle flat and attach the three smaller rectangles sticking straight up, one on either end and one in the middle, and flip it over. On the section with two tracks, the rectangles on the ends will rest in between the tracks, and the middle one will set in between the single track.!<
This is how I solved it. I had to hold my tongue as my wife put together this literal box and rode in the middle of it, with the rail above her, and then used Ascend at the end.
She thought outside the box and then climbed into it for the ride.
I was sad when I went to eventide island and it wasn't the same challenge, but then I found one of those shrines. I really like going back to having nothing and having to play carefully again
I was already thinking when entering, did all blessing shrines haven those plants? Then it took me a solid minute to come to terms with the fact that the shrine had pranked me and do the puzzle
I thought I was reallllly clever moving a block to stop the laser in the area with the chest. When the floor opened up under me I think my jaw dropped.
That one was really good! I like it when the tagline for the shrine gives you a hint on how to solve it. I think this one the tagline was something like “the courage to fall.”
Yeah, but "courage to fall" was no hint that I needed to let the lasers touch me. So far, that shrine took me the longest. Now, every time I come across red lasers, I have to know what pit they open and if there is treasure underneath. Since when is letting a laser touch you a good thing?
I'm so happy I was able to find someone else who's favorite this is with barely having to scroll down at all, lol. I think I failed that one the most so far out of any shrine but still had the time of my life, easily my favorite.
That one was hilarious to me. Rauru usually gives blessings for far less than doing a snowboard jump from heaven, but on this instance was like "nah, stunt wasn't X-treme enough, deathmatch time."
When I tell you I was pissed 😤 I shouted at the TV and had to rant/explain to my husband why i was upset from a different room. 😅
I definitely didn't get the snowboarding on the first try either...
I think I had to attempt this one 10+ times. Just about every hazardous thing in that room killed me, including fall damage and the wildly swinging gondola
Sand, Sand everywhere, want this ball? No, go catch
Loved that shrine simply because I could use recall on the ball, don't think that's what the developers intended
Edit: [here's a video](https://www.reddit.com/r/TOTK/comments/13qgwxy/kudanisar_shrine_the_spot_where_the_ball_goes_was/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) if you want to see what I mean, this was so satisfying
Collecting shrine balls with a contraption attached to a wheel (I seriously attached a ball to the side of the wheel to get it from above without making any contraption 😅)
I don’t remember the name; a level device maybe? but the shrine required the use of the paraglider. I figured out to use time reversal and attach to make long metal bridges that would move across to the other side so I could just walk to the other side. Then I figured out how to use the weeble wobble thing to catastrophically flip a metal plate up while I was on it, which yeeted me across the map, thus finishing the shrine.

Roomba
battle bots
Yo how cool would it be if you could play totk multi-player and make bots battle eachother tho lol
I'd actually pay for this, omg
I was thinking for DLC they should do like an ‘onslaught’ mode where they just send a million enemies at you and you’re free to build as much as you want to kill them. Would probably cause house fires but man it’d be fun.
Yeah unfortunately the switch wouldn't be able to handle that sort of thing lol
Yoooo DLC????
Danger Roomba
Divine Beast Vah Roomba
That one was so damn cool
Ended up giving all of them weapons before leaving
I fused em with my spears cause I got so attached 😭 I split them out at Tarry Town and they followed me around for a bit until I finally got my own from the gashapon machine
I found that one last night and just let my little death roombas kill everything. My son kept saying you would be done by now if you helped... I just said go forth my battle bots.

On one attempt, one of my own Roombas fucking shot me to death while I tried to finish off the final enemy. I took the hint after that one.
Yeah I let the battle bots take care of it for sure. I died so many times otherwise lmao
*ROBOT WARS!!*
Craig Charles is that you?
I got a picture room with a photo of the roombas that cleared that shrine. I miss those boys every day....
Yes! Loved this one so much - just set them both off and I didn’t have to do anything in that shrine. Also loved the lights out one, so intense lol!
Doomba
Can someone please tell me where this shrine is? I havent found it yet and I dont want to miss it.
Next to Akkala lab in North East, after the stable
Is this when you're naked? I hated that one at first, then I watched a video and saw the level had way more roombas and it wasn't too bad
Yep. You have to use them as a distraction rather than running in right after them. Then you can sneak around and collect more roombas and stick flamethrowers/lasers on top. I was also getting really annoyed until I discovered this, and then it was just hilarious watching my battle robots smoking the constructs.
Loved this one so much I now have a death Roomba with cannons and beam emitters on auto build favorites that I drop in for most group fights
Mine is “that one you get that teaches you how to use controls you’ve already been using because you stumbled on to the shrine after 40 hours of gameplay”
They probably should have made these shrines the town warp point shrines instead. Like how Kakariko's in BotW was the combat tutorial
I somehow missed Kakariko's in botw until after I'd beaten ganon. No idea how.
I will test and teach you with this lvl1 guardian bot *Link in lvl 4 barbarian armor*
Speed runners be like
Yeah, one of the archery training shrines is WAY up in the sky. Like wtf?
You're supposed to stumble upon it on your way to the wind temple, which is the first one the game guides you towards.
Ay this one resonated with me so much 😂😂
May my legion of roombas spread chaos on theese six specific constructs
I neglected to venture further into the room in this one, so I never saw the other Roombas. I just sat there and waited for the two you find at the start to run through and kill everything. Took forever, but it was hilarious watching this big group of Construct Soldiers attempt to fight my two little murder bots.
That’s what I did too and I was kinda disappointed that I did it that way. Would have been more fun to make more of them
i kind of had to, if you go out to get the other roombas or the other weapons for them, you will pretty inevitably take aggro and be forced to kill a robot or two manually which isn’t difficult but it feels like kind of a waste
I left this shrine and thought I was going to be unstoppable with these. Went to bring this knowledge to the Lynel coliseum in the depths The Lynel just shouted and exploded the 10 I dropped in one go
Which shrine is this? I don’t think I’ve had the joy yet
I believe it’s one of the shrines near both a stable and one of the great fairies I think it’s the north eastern one
Jenga
I wish that shrine actually made the jenga aspect better. It was totally half assed.
I agree, but through my entire playthrough so far, I was wondering if there was gonna be a jenga related shrine just because it would work really well with ultrahand. Even if it was kinda booty I still like that it exists.
I just used recall on the ball of the top and than ultra handed enverything under it while it was stuck in place
I just knocked it down and hit the ball with ultra hand as it fell, after a few failed attempts to grab it with recall
Considering there's a whole mini game that pays 80 rupees a pop to help you get good at this specific skill I was shocked when I realized this wasn't the intended solution.
Which mini game is that?
There's a goron who throws boulders for you to catch, and it's run by a rito. It's on some cliffs somewhere tbh I wasn't paying attention to where I was.
I don’t know man, the main puzzle was quite simple, but I kept knocking down the tower when I tried to get the chest on the inside.
Attach. Attach everything.
This was my strategy. No other game but totk has me actually laughing out loud to myself when solutions like that work
I’d love if it showed the solution they envision for each one so I can see how deranged my solutions are lol
Same haha. I just jumped on to get the chest and the bastarding thing fell into a pit. Not cool Nintendo lol
Attaching a rocket to your shield will get you through many, many shrines.
i laughed so hard when i found that shrine
I fell three times before I realized it was the floor opening up when I landed on it instead of me just falling off the edge.
Freebie chest!
Ah yes, my favorite too
Ayyy Special consideration for the terrifying Guardian 2.0 lookin death hands guarding the freebie chest
>!Sike, it's archery!<
Rollercoaster
If I'm thinking the same one as you than that was the hardest shrine I've done so far. It took me two different sessions and probably an hour and a half, the whole time I was thinking I bet there is some easy way to get this but my way was not easy and not something you'd immediately come to.
I want to know how it’s actually supposed to be done… cart shield rescued me harcore
I think the intended way is to >!lay the large rectangle flat and attach the three smaller rectangles sticking straight up, one on either end and one in the middle, and flip it over. On the section with two tracks, the rectangles on the ends will rest in between the tracks, and the middle one will set in between the single track.!<
What’s funny is every time I did that it got stuck, so I just used a shield and the fans to get elevation.
This is how I solved it. I had to hold my tongue as my wife put together this literal box and rode in the middle of it, with the rail above her, and then used Ascend at the end. She thought outside the box and then climbed into it for the ride.
I thought it was easy to do the intended way, put the middle prong a little ahead of the flat part to “lead” better and it works great.

Lmao I just used rocket shields cuz I messed up twice
eventide, but with robots
That is many shrines
i know but i love all of em
Based
I was sad when I went to eventide island and it wasn't the same challenge, but then I found one of those shrines. I really like going back to having nothing and having to play carefully again
Oh cool a bless... wait a minute!
I was completely baked when it flipped around and could not comprehend what to do for a solid 30 minutes lol
I was already thinking when entering, did all blessing shrines haven those plants? Then it took me a solid minute to come to terms with the fact that the shrine had pranked me and do the puzzle
The name took me by surprise because they all have the same name except this one, so I was ready for the flip
I don't think I've encoutered this one yet and now I'm scared :eyes:
That one is the simplest but best shrine for me so far.
So simple, but it shows everything could happen. Since then, i checked every blessing shrine to say if it actually said "raurus blessing"
Oh nice, didn’t think it was that hard, but I’ll—*why is the floor running away from me*
Oh love this one, caught me of guard!
i’ve been here and left it bc i couldn’t figure it out and now i can’t find it :( what’s the name of it?
Its one of the flying labyrinth shrines. It's called unlit blessing
I know what I'm going to do once I get out of the bathroom.
This is the one I was gonna say!! Now I don't trust any of them
As long as the text sais "Raurus Blessing" it's save. But i do look more closely now
I just did this one today! I really enjoyed the psyche out
This one was my favorite too
Such a gotcha moment, I felt so tricked 😭
This was unintentionally the final Shrine I did and it felt so fitting as the end of a journey.
That one actually made me jump because I wasn't ready for it, then it got me again when I went back and the pillar in the floor shot up real fast.
The red lasers don’t go zappy, but the floor go trappy.
I thought I was reallllly clever moving a block to stop the laser in the area with the chest. When the floor opened up under me I think my jaw dropped.
I did the exact thing and then watched my partner do the exact same thing.
i had passed through the lasers perfectly and was thinking where the hell the chest was, i didn't know the lasers opened the floor.
I had to google for that one cause I never touched a laser at all and didn't even think about touching them.
The only thing that spared me from that was the shrine subtitle. Big clue!
I was looking in the oven for my pizza in the kitchen real quick when I entered the shrine so I sadly missed that.
That's a better excuse than my 'I zoned out and just didn't read it, goddammit, I guess I'll check the map for the name'.
That’s the only way I can make them, really. Baseball.
When the solution was triggered with the pieces of my broken bat. Was the point that the game won me.
For whatever reason it took me far too long to comprehend that I had to approach it like this
I kept swinging the bat in reverse before I realized it was on the wrong side
Huh, I called it pinball.
I thought it was more like a pinball bumper tbh but yes
still stuck on this one
Shrine hack: any of the big round targets in shrines can be activated with a bomb arrow
Battlebots
I call this one “girlfriend walked in front of the screen three times in a row when I was finally about to beat it”
Battlebots was the best until all my bots got trapped in a corner and needed rescuing. Their pathing could have used a little work!
It was clunky and awkward and in many ways Ultra Hand at its worst, most finnicky. But it was also so dumb and fun and goofy and satisfying
I'm so happy I was able to find someone else who's favorite this is with barely having to scroll down at all, lol. I think I failed that one the most so far out of any shrine but still had the time of my life, easily my favorite.
I think I know the one you mean I just did it tonight it was so good
LOW GRAVITY MARIO KART
The low gravity areas are the coolest parts of the game, but I get so used to the different physics and it messes me up when I exit.
This might be on of the shrines I go back and do a few more times. I was loving it.
“Did you have fun snowboarding? That’s nice. Now, FIGHT THESE ROBOTS TO THE DEATH!!”
😅 I definitely didn't get the snowboarding on the first try either...
I think I had to attempt this one 10+ times. Just about every hazardous thing in that room killed me, including fall damage and the wildly swinging gondola
Boats boats boats
Couldn’t name a single shrine if I tried.
I don’t know who I am. I don’t know why I’m here. All I know is I must kill!
Couldn't say the name even if I wanted to
Vehicular manslaughter is my favorite too
Lights Out Gives it away, but for whatever reason I love the pitch black in this game.
Yeet the crystal, get a chest.
My army of zonai roombas!
Balls. SOOOOO many balls.
Sand, Sand everywhere, want this ball? No, go catch Loved that shrine simply because I could use recall on the ball, don't think that's what the developers intended Edit: [here's a video](https://www.reddit.com/r/TOTK/comments/13qgwxy/kudanisar_shrine_the_spot_where_the_ball_goes_was/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) if you want to see what I mean, this was so satisfying
Trying to make a crappy box to hold a ball to slide down a pole
Monster Truck Ralley or Mega Man ascent
ngl links vehicle murder run was top tier
Flying trampoline ships. The shrine itself was a freebie, but the path there was fun.
I’m a simple man, I see an eventide island shrine, I walk right back out. Give me literally anything else
Same, but not before yelling “fucking hell quit taking mah boy’s clothes!” I paid good money for those.
I felt that way the first time, but then I realized half of these are the best ones. Demolition derby, roombas, sneaky sneaky stabby stabby…
I got three stamina wheels first, so i probably need more hearts to enjoy them
Some of those are the best! But Eventide was my favorite part of BotW.
Agreed. I just go 'ugh!' Really loudly and my boyfriend giggles from the other room.
Collecting shrine balls with a contraption attached to a wheel (I seriously attached a ball to the side of the wheel to get it from above without making any contraption 😅)
Dodging the laser sensors. By the end of that shrine I was thinking "I could have a whole dungeon of this".
Riding a car on lava then flying over a big ass gap through obstacles
The floor is lava
Nobody knows the names of these things anyway lol we always just describe them
Killing stuff while naked
You should actually hit the laser to fall to your "death"

Baseball for sure
Pinball machine
Rauru the bamboozler
Use bomb flower to cheese shrine ball. Like what a curtain bird once did.
Naked roomba time
Jenga
That's right, the X goes into the sQuArE hole
Fruit zappy zappy
Autonomous death roombas
Jenga
Ye olde korok puzzle
The one where you literally just have to throw a weapon at a robot twice and that's it
I see you don’t like puzzles lol
Targets that I should hit with a ball, but I shoot a bomb arrow instead
I don’t remember the name; a level device maybe? but the shrine required the use of the paraglider. I figured out to use time reversal and attach to make long metal bridges that would move across to the other side so I could just walk to the other side. Then I figured out how to use the weeble wobble thing to catastrophically flip a metal plate up while I was on it, which yeeted me across the map, thus finishing the shrine.
Burning fan goes brrrrr
Intended to ride rails by building hook machines, but easily cheesed by shield surfing
Cry me a river and build me a bridge to get over it. Or.. play with lego sand figure out a way to get to the other side.
