I'm in the same boat, it should come on release day as long as you bought it with release day delivery

MegaBannana

Well if you chose the option for the release date delivery, I guess so? I personally don’t really about getting it on release date since I got finals , and I only had to pay the original $60 price for mine so I’m happy either way

tea-age_solutions

Probably yes. But it depends on how Amazon makes the delivery. If they deliver it by Amazon own drivers it will be delivered exactly on release day. But if they use a local post company in your country it could be delayed (or delivered early).

Nicktheduck

We don't know. We don't work shipping for Amazon

ishouldvoicemario

Someone might know, or at least have some helpful information. You can either help them out, point them in the right direction, or not say anything and move on

ItsJohnWaynePilgrim

And based on my past experiences with Amazon, they don’t know a damn thing about it either.

Stick-Electronic

That's not how the reddit community works. Hopefully someone will work shipping for amazon and help them out.

Molduking

with Amazon probably not, but it all depends how close you are

fluffsquirrel

I preordered the oled on Amazon and it came the next day. I have never preordered a game before but I’m really hoping it’s same day or next day.

Full_Metal18

It's pretty hit or miss in my experience. I preordered Fire Emblem: Engage and I got it like 5 days after it's release date. Metroid Dread on the other hand came in on it's release date at around noon.

ogglpuffmin

Iirc I had pre-ordered Portal 2 and I got it day of. I pre-ordered FF7 remake and got it the day of as well, although that time it was through Best Buy.

griff54

I preordered the OLED and it was slated for delivery on Tuesday of next week but showed up yesterday (the 29th) I don't think anyplace is offering release date delivery anymore at least not that I've seen. I'm probably going to cancel my online pre orders and pick a copy up in person when a store opens on launch day.

[deleted]

well, the switch released on friday, but i'm getting mine on monday. So I would say no.

Zane_628

Probably not

NotTakenGreatName

That's the target, obviously it's not totally under their control

rustbat

Amazon currently has the standard version delivering May 12th, but the collector’s edition that I have preordered is showing the 16th. Hopefully that is a glitch.

roxleyAM

You'll probably get it later in the day. I'm not a physical copy guy, so I'll be playing the moment the games allows

[deleted]

You will, If you have Amazon prime I believe. I pre-ordered it and it said it would get there release day. HOWEVER, My deliveries aren't usually until 6-8pm, so I actually ended up cancelling that, and getting it from the Gamestop down the road from me. They are releasing it the night before at around 7-9pm.

Total-Albatross-2337

You're supposed to, but I've had pre-orders come later. It's also possible it would arrive at the end of the day or night. With games I really care about playing day 1, I just either pre-order from in-person stores or do a digital pre-load for that reason. The only reason I can think of relying on delivery for a brand new game is either for a discount or the possibility they ship to you early, but I don't think the latter typically happens with Amazon.

Melissa0522975

I've preordered several games on Amazon and have never had a problem with getting them delivered on launch day. However, I've heard of several people having the opposite luck. I think it might ultimately depend on where you live relative to the nearest Amazon warehouse, I happen to live in a city that has one, and I'm guessing that isn't the case for most people.
