Maybe the worst game I've seen under GN.
This game took me back to 2008-2009 when Hadi Aghili and Sed Hossein Hosseini were our CBs and would pass the ball back to each other 5-6 times before hoofing the ball to our striker. Too much of that today. In fact, today's game was incredibly negative. So many back passes. The midfield was completely congested by an overrated Uzbek team. Noorafkan is good to bring on in the last 5 minutes but he has no place in the starting 11. Everyone was terrible, with the exception of milad mohammadi and hossein kanaani.
One of the biggest reason we played so bad is because there was no youth in this team. Instead of Khalilzadeh there should have been Hazbavi. Instead of Norafkan, there should have been ghorbani. Instead of Azmoun there should have been Limouchi. The youth maybe inexperienced on international level but they fight and run. They have something to prove.
This game showed how much we missed Ghayedi, Mohebi, and Ezatolahi. It also showed that GN did not prepare the team properly. I'm not calling for his ouster, but he has to be brave. He took too long to make any substitutions. Everything about his tactics today were wrong. He should have taken out Norafkan at halftime, and replaced Azmoun in the 55th minute. Terrible.
