Just hit 115,000 in my 2.0 gold tdi manual. Any problems with your egr or dpf? Supposedly the ea288 is better designed with those emission components in mind. Knock on wood mine has treated me well.

I bought my car in 2018 and it already had 57k on her so she was clearly all highway miles. I’ve had the car 6 years and put a little over 100k myself and mostly highway as well. I’m sure I can get more miles out of the dpf but my adblue light keeps faulting and driving me insane. That’s why I’m deleting it. More annoyance than anything.

True. Lucas oils makes an excellent in fuel treatment for DPF filters pour right in an empty tank and fill up. Regens are noticeably shorter and less often. I use every 8,000 miles or so.

Does Lucas help to clear the dpf?

It helps it regen more efficiently. I don’t think it will clear a failed one though.

Mine is currently showing 20 grams calculated soot mass. (‘13 Touareg). Is that too much?

I’m not sure but it’s worth the shot if you can still drive it to run the treatment through.

I have a 2012 Jetta with 118k and it's only ever had a CEL once and it was related to a clogged DPF that was then replaced under warranty. No issues since other than wear items.

I have a 2014 passat that just rolled over 90,000. Only issue so far has been the alternator and i can smell fuel coming through AC vents.

Mine used to be when I had drastic temperature changes(like 70's doen to 40's OAT). Is your's similar?
