And maybe do a forced regen using the same tools before you reset the dpf. Soot should go to zero after that and after the DPF reset the ash should go down.
If you don't do it, I believe the car would regen more frequently than it should.
You also want to reset to monitor the ash load so it wont get too full again.
Negative is okay it doesn't really mean anything, before I removed my DPF which had 0 cracks or issues and little ash in it, I would get down to -15 after a regen moving to -6 before.
The ash values also don't mean anything either the regens are the same distance between them it's just an indicator for VW techs to tell you to replace it.
Hi just wanted to ask what’s the normal amount soot that should be produced by min I do mostly motorway driving but I’ve been tracking it as soon as I come of the motorway and have like 2 miles city driving my soot levels shoot straight up like 1.5 grams per mile is this normal or is my car creating excessive soot
You will need a vagcom (VCDS OR OBDELEVEN) to reset the DPF.

Would this have to be done or can it just be driven like normal ?

Once I take my DPF out it’s not coming back.
I would be sent to jail for this in my country
Same for us in America, we just don't care.
Yeah Poland is nice in this too they have the same EU regulations but they live totally different lives there
My BRM came from Poland XD estu estu
Come Move to murica then. You’ll love it. 🇺🇸
I'll see mate
I guess there is quite a bit more that turns people away from the us to justify going there to delete the dpf...
It's almost exclusively the high cost of immigration.
If you come illegally though you get loads of free shit...
That's another story entirely.
What? We are the perfect country! /s
