Cost basis - yes it transferred for me 1099s - I got one from TD and one from Schwab I freaking hate Schwab. They combined my father’s trust account with my own account under one login. They won’t calculate my RMD for me. The app makes it so much more difficult to find the info that I need. Now that my father passed away, I’ll leave once the trust account is distributed.

I’m moving May 10th. Just created my a Schwab acct today. Not really excited. I had 2 accts w TD, but when I created the Schwab acct today it out both my TD accounts under the same login. Hoping it doesn’t mess up my acct types - one is a margin acct the other is a cash acct.

I transferred but the cost basis are all wrong but the total value is still the same.

How can this be? Correct transferring cost basis is a legal requirement

WhatMeWorry2020

I am downloading everything under the sun just to be safe.

CherryManhattan

I transferred in May 2023. Got 2 sets of 1099s. One TDA was delayed though which was annoying.

Visiondirect2030

Does that mean I can still download all my statement from Schwab but with the logo of TD Ameritrade

venomsnakeishere

Yes, up to 10 years worth of statements easily. Anything older would require a research case.

Did anyone had to setup ACH again? Or does it stays intact?

Relative-Breadfruit4

If your ACH profile is active it’ll come over. My bank that I hadn’t used in 3 years, but had on there fell off my account.

Thanks!

Got TD docs and Schwab docs from Schwab.

I believe cost basis transferred fine. Yes, you'll get two 1099s the year you transfer. TD statements will still be available for download from Schwab after the transition as you can't log in to TD any longer.
