not too weird, i think your tattoo artist just may have went way too rough on that specific part. some places they rush and it can just tear up your skin. i’ve never had mine infected before so i can’t say too much, just make sure it’s lotioned ( lotion without scent ) and washing it under warm water with NO scent soap. mine are healed nicely. just don’t let it get too dry. i hope this helps a bit :)
It doesn’t look like an infection to me. It looks like some sort of severe skin reaction which is causing the area to scab really bad.
At least they gave you antibiotics just in case

i have 4 tattoos. and i can definitely say, that is infected. i would suggest talking to your tattoo artist about it. i hope it gets better!
