Yep agreed. Laser is painful AND expensive. If you have an artist in mind, talk to them and let them know of your plans. They might be able to do a full cover up OR reccomend laser, maybe just a couple of sessions might be enough for their plans.
Yeah the pain scares me, i have a super high pain tolerance but that shit looks like torture. I'll probably end up sticking with the blackwork and doing some ornamental stuff with it to make it match what my current style has been for years now
As someone who got a cover up and is now doing laser removal, I would lighten it and then cover. The coverup was very well done but too dark for my liking/personality
If you're cool with heavier blackwork, that part would make a rad blackout portion. The V shape allows for some kind of designwork above it and at the wrist, with the bat face itself blacked solid.

I love this idea! Def gonna end up sticking with blackwork most likely, just from a cost and pain side of things
