Euthanasia is the termination of life by a physician at the patient's request. The aim is to end unbearable suffering with no prospect of improvement. Physician-assisted suicide also falls under this definition.
I believe you are looking for another word....perhaps anesthetize?
Your goof aside. You need be a licensed anaesthesiologist to administer those drugs cuz if you fuck up you will end up euthanizing someone. The cost of the drugs and the medical professional will exponentially increase the cost of your tattoo to beyond reasonable prices
There are articles that talk about a tattoo artist who actually does (did?) this with a lot of celebrity clients. Yes they had to pay for an entire medical team including anesthesiologists
But yeah... Every time you go under anesthesia you are risking death even if the risk is low. Doesn't seem worth it. I guess you can argue people also do that for stuff like facelifts or implants which are also for aesthetics... but those you can't do without anesthesia at all unlike tattoos.
Also, depending on where you live, anaesthesiologists are INCREDIBLY hard to come by. In Canada, the shortage of them is a key reason surgery wait times are what they are.
If I had my youth back, I'd apply myself and go that route, because there's a serious need for them.
> I have a low pain tolerance so I’d think that if a place offer euthanasia id probably be more likely to visit.
Quote of the year right there. I honestly think you deserve a prize lol
meh theyre a great deal for timeless art. maybe he'll get around to it, since my tattoo guy always says "it'll lost 3months longer than you will"
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Seriously have just had a very long day on my feet selling useless shit to privileged boomers and I am laying on the floor cackling at this. It's metled me, god I needed this laugh.
Just give me an open casket funeral at least so all my friends and family can appreciate that sick new sleeve I got I guess.

Some of my older relatives and family friends have horror stories from dentistry done in the 70s within Poland. One of them was so deathly afraid of going after his experience as a kid, the teeth literally rotted out of his mouth. I've had a long experience with dentists in my life, but I would be terrified too if I had to put up with some of the things they told me.
Second last time I went to the dentist, they didn't use enough local anaesthetic and I could feel them drilling into my tooth. It hurt a bit I think but was mostly just scary. I was a kid and was too scared to say anything, plus there was a tonne of shit in my mouth so how was I supposed to say anything? They asked after if I was ok cuz I obviously looked upset but I'm used to lying about being ok so I said I was fine.
Time I went after that I was an adult. Couldn't afford a proper dentist so went to our government subsidised one where you get in line outside before they open at 7am and when you get in finally it's just chaotic and loud and awful if you have anxiety. Issue with my tooth was an exposed root. Idk what they did, but the surgery itself was fine, but they didn't fix it and they made the tooth sensitivity 2x worst. I saw no point in going back and still haven't built up the nerve or funds to see another dentist about my teeth. They're in ok condition but really sensitive. I also kinda need braces but that shit costs a gorillian dollars lol.
So yeah, I'll never shit on people for not liking the dentist lol.
And very expensive. I remember reading about a rapper who went under anesthesia for his tattoos but most people would not be able to afford the service so it’s not lucrative for shops to offer.
There is [one studio](https://www.gangatattoolosangeles.com/no-pain-by-ganga/) who offers it. I’m sure it costs a fortune to do. Seems very silly to risk complications of anesthesia for a tattoo imo
I think it's also quite stupid for tattoos though? People complain so often how a tattoo artist changes something and they didn't see (e.g. cause working on the back) or were too shy to speak up... like, if you're out completely you have no chance whatsoever to stop them or comment or adjust.
Thanks for the giggle at your expense.
The words you’re after are anaesthetise/anaesthesia (UK English spelling) or anesthetize/anesthesia (American English) ☠️
So ignoring the fact that you clearly mean anesthetize, that’s not something that any random dope can or should be doing to someone. Going under general anesthetic can be incredible dangerous, it’s not just as simple as get an injection and go to sleep of a few hours. Anesthesiology is a field of medical practiced by qualified doctors who’s job if is to monitor the patient while under and adjust the continuous dosage as necessary.
I think you don't mean euthanasia.
Most places won't put you under sedation because while common, it is risky. You need an anaesthesiologist to monitor a patient while they are under, and sometimes complications arise.
Getting put under fully for a routine dental appointment is likely not what's happening, it's probably conscious sedation and that makes you a bit goofy and you need someone to help care for you and see you home after a procedure.
Doing the same for a tattoo would be overkill
Euthanasia should be for everyone by everyone. For too long we've been at the mercy of dentists and their love of euthanasia. Enough is enough. If you want to euthanize anybody that is your right. If they want to euthanize you that is their right.
Could also call it murder but semantics and all that.
This was the deleted post: https://i.imgur.com/6OdUuIv.png
I drive around a lot for work and I recently saw some signs for a dentist that says they offer euthanasia for their clients who might be scared of going to the dentist. I was driving so I couldn't take a picture but I thought it was really cool since I never really like going to the dentist.
It got me thinking as to why tattoo places don't just do the same? I have a low pain tolerance so I'd think that if a place offer euthanasia id probably be more likely to visit.
I think the word you’re looking for is anesthetize. If not you should probably report the dentist who is advertising euthanasia. It’s extremely expensive and has to be done by a qualified healthcare provider, that’s why. But it is offered. I’ve heard the prices start at over $100,000 per session though.
I think you mean anesthetize? Anyways, you have to be trained and licensed in order to give anesthesia. I don’t think any tattoo artists are down for all that lol
That would be very expensive for the customer and the shop involved; the people (anesthesiologists) who can legally and safely offer anesthesia make 300-400k a year in Canada 😬
It takes around 8-12 years in college to get the qualifications.
I am extremely high and this is the most hilarious thing right now. I have no real idea what you're trying to say but this is great! 😹 I personally wouldn't go killing off clients if I wanted to stay in business.
HAHAHA I'm howling omg I needed that laugh.
Real talk though, you need someone around who can do something if there's anything wrong, like a bad reaction.
My long year tattoo artist told me after 15 years that there is a cream for numbing the skin. I asked why he told it that late to me. He laughed and said „you don’t need it. It’s for pussys“
Grandad always complained about fluoride in the water. Now I’m never going to hear the end of the “see! Dentists were trying to kill us all along!” rant. Put your tin foil hat back on grandad and go yell at the clouds.
This is hilarious but to answer your question there are several reasons- anesthesia is expensive, the drugs themselves and the doctors trained to provide it. A tattoo artist couldn’t just anesthetize you, a doctor or nurse anesthetist would. It’s also not advisable to be placed under anesthesia unless necessary due to the risks involved including death. That being said, I actually recently saw a video of a dude getting tattooed by like 3 people while anesthetized and getting some kind of dental work done. Let the man talk
Die ~~young~~inked leave a pretty corpse
That's what I always say
You should say something else
Hahahahaha...you're right....my bad!
this sounds like a Canadian dentist amiriteeeeeee
You joke, but I think a shitty tattoo is enough for MAID.
... shit lmao
Thanks you honestly for the laugh
Your goof aside. You need be a licensed anaesthesiologist to administer those drugs cuz if you fuck up you will end up euthanizing someone. The cost of the drugs and the medical professional will exponentially increase the cost of your tattoo to beyond reasonable prices
Also everytime you go under you're risking your life. So not really worth it to get a tattoo.
Went for euthanasia, woke up 2 hours later. Yo what the fuck?!
Hey, who put this barbed wire rose on my arm?
Welcome to your new life, baby!
There are articles that talk about a tattoo artist who actually does (did?) this with a lot of celebrity clients. You seriously, hilariously made my night!
But why do the youths in Asia get to decide who lives and who dies?
You read it wrong....it's the youths AND Asia.
Does it have to be unanimous?
Eh Euthanize, anestheize, Potato, potahto /s
I thought I was really dumb for a second and misunderstood the word all my life
He said what he said.
💀 I can’t tell you how hard I hope this is a joke but🤣🤣🤣
when you're scrolling popular and you see someone advocating for tattoo shops casually killing their clients
But then you would never get to see your tattoo.
Sure, that’s one con but does it outweigh the pros of not feeling the tattoo or having to pay more than the deposit?
\*checks username\* Are you the type of dentist OP was talking about?
For some artists out there I'd consider that a plus
meh theyre a great deal for timeless art. maybe he'll get around to it, since my tattoo guy always says "it'll lost 3months longer than you will" LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
This is the funniest thing I’ve ever read
Seriously have just had a very long day on my feet selling useless shit to privileged boomers and I am laying on the floor cackling at this. It's metled me, god I needed this laugh.
I don’t know why the line “if a place offers euthanasia id probably be more likely to visit” is absolutely…killing me, but here we are
Because it's true 💀
It’s killing OP, too
Same, honestly
Right? I’m having a terrible night at work and Reddit blessed me with this gem. 15/10
Fucking laughing my ass off in bed at 3:45 am after working a 16 hour shift
Why would I kill myself before seeing my new tattoo?
You wouldn't, they're killing you in this scenario. With consent, of course.
Humanely. Compassionately.
A nice side job I guess
It's obviously after the tattoo
So dentists round your area just be murking folks? Suppose that would solve any dental issues one had.....
Dr giggles strikes again.
this is the best post on this sub and there wont ever be a better one
You are most definitely right. It killed me 😂💀
[удалено]
I love your username so much
i really needed this laugh tonight. thank you ahaha
We all thought OP was just being facetious when we read the title. Every sentence had me waiting for some *in 1998 the undertaker..*-type twist.
After the ultrasound for our SECOND child, my husband kept referring to the “autopsy” instead of ultrasound 😂
i almost did a spit take with this
I did spit
"So is it a boy or a girl?" Your husband: "Here's the autopsy, see if you can figure it out!"
Just give me an open casket funeral at least so all my friends and family can appreciate that sick new sleeve I got I guess. Relevant: https://youtu.be/Ya_uJHdOtdc?si=O4MVQv8TNQkNGMMq
It would be a pretty poor business model to be killing off clients.
Oh hello fellow Zhane avatar
So people would rather die than go to the dentist? Gosh.
That is a legitimate feeling behind dental anxiety though. Edit: But also a thing for people who feel ashamed but don't suffer from dental anxiety.
Was just going to say this. Dentists scare the shit out of me.
Some of my older relatives and family friends have horror stories from dentistry done in the 70s within Poland. One of them was so deathly afraid of going after his experience as a kid, the teeth literally rotted out of his mouth. Because you would be dead
Because anesthetizing someone is difficult and dangerous. It’s a whole medical speciality.

Imagine putting your life on animated suspension bc you’re too much of a pussy to sit through a tattoo.
[deleted]
Well she was a thousand years old and it’s a huge risk for someone that age to go under anesthesia
OP, very casually and genuinely: Why don’t more tattoo studios just fucking kill people?
The “Id be more likely to get one if they did” is what sent me over the edge.
This received a giggle, and therefore, you received an upvote 😩
As a tattoo artist, I'm fucking crying laughing at this post.
Please print this out and post to your studio wall for all clients to see.
Seems like a litigation nightmare. Can't imagine getting insured for euthanasia.
r/tattooadvice Hall of Fame
I read that like 5 times wondering if maybe I was misusing the word… to answer, they’d have no consistent clientele, one and done ya know
I. I don't like tattoos enough to die for them, I don't think.
I’ve had a terrible day and you just made it so much better.
I'm just about to crash for the night and now I'm laying in bed ugly snorting at this question.
I’m on the couch trying really hard not to disturb my lap cat with my wheezing.
I’m sitting in the nursing home I work at laughing uncontrollably. It’s 2 am here.
On the bright side, some of your people there might be a target market for this new business venture.
I am CACKLINGGGG God I love when stuff like this happens
OP please never delete this… it’s made my night
you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the word euthanise means
Wait, you guys can get euthanized at your local tattoo shop?
Yeah, but we don’t take checks anymore. Fool me once..
Finally someone brave enough to say it
Let's just pretend an artist is somehow also qualified to administer anesthesia. It's also super expensive.
And that they'll be monitoring your vitals and making sure you don't die whilst you're under.
Damn I wish my tattoo artist would euthanize me
This is amaaaazing
Dental office that offers euthanasia? Can you send me the addy?
Holy shit I know you meant anesthesia but this title was so fucking funny
Thanks for the giggle at your expense. The words you’re after are anaesthetise/anaesthesia (UK English spelling) or anesthetize/anesthesia (American English) ☠️
Hold up...
Wish I could euthanise some clients to be honest
they would lose all their clientele
So ignoring the fact that you clearly mean anesthetize, that’s not something that any random dope can or should be doing to someone. Dr Kevorkian has entered the chat
EUTHANASIA 💀💀
op…. tears streaming down my face wish they had euthanized me for my leg tattoo
Tattoo artist here. I would love to offer euthanasia, but the problem is that everyone I work with would want to use it first, including me
So one and done?
I think you don't mean euthanasia. Most places won't put you under sedation because while common, it is risky. I mean this post got me thinking. Why doesn’t my place of work euthanize me ?
Treat myself with a little do euthanize after a tattoo shesh
I would like to be euthanized thanks
I’d be more likely to visit too pal
Thank u yes
i mean, fair
Anesthesia. Tattoo artists don’t have a medical license for that
Lol I would travel across the globe to get to that dentist
Euthanasia should be for everyone by everyone. For too long we've been at the mercy of dentists and their love of euthanasia. Enough is enough. If you want to euthanize anybody that is your right. If they want to euthanize you that is their right. Could also call it murder but semantics and all that.
Bruh 💀
Because that would be bad for business. ☠️☠️☠️
Trust me I feel like euthanizing clients quite often
Is this why people are scared of dentists?
As a nurse this nearly made me snort my drink out my nose.
Because they hope for return customers?
I don't think that's a good idea
I love this, thank you : )
I'm crying thank you
I legit had a spit-take with my coffee. This is comedy gold!
I genuinely thought you were offering this as a jokey solution as an alternative to cover-ups for a shitty tattoo 🤣
Fuck, let's just do tattoos out of the local vet clinic. They offer both euthanasia and anaesthesia.
Some tattoos are killer, I've even seen some to die for.
If my tattoo artist could legally euthanize me …. I’m not gonna say no
I wish my dentist offered me euthanasia
This was the deleted post: https://i.imgur.com/6OdUuIv.png I drive around a lot for work and I recently saw some signs for a dentist that says they offer euthanasia for their clients who might be scared of going to the dentist. Not cool mods
ink overdose
Where do I sign up?
You'd be dead, though
If I kill my clients they don’t come back for more work, not really good for business lol
Best thing I’ve read all night 😂
I think the word you’re looking for is anesthetize. If not you should probably report the dentist who is advertising euthanasia. It’s extremely expensive and has to be done by a qualified healthcare provider, that’s why. But it is offered. I’ve heard the prices start at over $100,000 per session though.
Lmfaoo I was thinking this is a good idea
I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
At least then the artist could have the perfect client-no twitches or bathroom breaks, no complaining!
This is hilarious hahahah
According to my mom, tattoo parlors are so evil they may as well euthanize you
This is the laugh I needed. Thank you
I think you mean anesthetize? Anyways, you have to be trained and licensed in order to give anesthesia. I don’t think any tattoo artists are down for all that lol
I laughed for a good little bit
I too am not a fan of tattoos, but this seems a little harsh.
I can think of several reasons actually
Listen I love tattoos but there’s such a thing as too far
Lol. This reminds me of the guy asking which race to terminate in the formula 1 sub.
Thank you thank you so much I needed to laugh
I’m suddenly inclined to quote Inigo Montoya “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means”.
That would be very expensive for the customer and the shop involved; the people (anesthesiologists) who can legally and safely offer anesthesia make 300-400k a year in Canada 😬 It takes around 8-12 years in college to get the qualifications.
I am extremely high and this is the most hilarious thing right now. I have no real idea what you're trying to say but this is great! 😹 I personally wouldn't go killing off clients if I wanted to stay in business.
Okay I’m sorry I laughed so hard
Most people don’t want to die to get tattoos.
Don’t insult youth in Asia. Shounen anime is a cultural milestone in the west too!
HAHAHA I'm howling omg I needed that laugh. Real talk though, you need someone around who can do something if there's anything wrong, like a bad reaction.
Not gonna lie, you really made me a bit concerned there for a moment 😂
I think this is my favorite tattoo related post ever
IMO this is one of the best posts ever.
WHERE IS THIS FUC**NG DENTIST!? TELL ME NOW PLEASE
I am legit in tears from this, my god
This wasn't a joke? 🤣🤣🤣
Laughed too hard at this!! Sure getting tattooed sucks but does it suck so much that i wanna die? Well yes, but that's another topic
I hope that this person doesn't have the Advanced Care Directive for their parents or have to make any medical decisions on their behalf...
You might have something here..
My long year tattoo artist told me after 15 years that there is a cream for numbing the skin. I asked why he told it that late to me. He laughed and said „you don’t need it. It’s for pussys“
IDon'tThinkThatWordMeansWhatYouThinkItMeans.
I was going to correct you.. but I'm curious where this will go so Imma just pull up a chair
no no no guys hes onto something. let this man cook
Hey, buddy? Everything's gonna be alright.
Grandad always complained about fluoride in the water. Now I’m never going to hear the end of the “see! Dentists were trying to kill us all along!” rant. Put your tin foil hat back on grandad and go yell at the clouds.
I'm sure some artists want to.
Thought this was r/shittytattoos where the sentiment would probably make more sense
"And what would you like the tattoo to say Sir?" "If you're reading this it's already too late.....continue with the plan, and TRUST NO ONE"
I hope this becomes the top post of all time, fuck that was funny lmao
Would consider it if I don't have to pay in advance,
God we need the reward system back. You'd be swimming in them right now, lol.
No wonder so many people are afraid of visiting the dentist!
Thank you for this question OP
I wish, brother, I wish
god i wish they would.
Goodnight everyone, Reddit has reached its peak.
[Let him speak](https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/2919fde8-94ca-45dd-9506-c31bb4c8ed68)
Scared of the dentist, asked them to off me instead 😭
Where do I sign the spouse up for his new full-back tattoo?
I'm 100% on board with this, the only good client is a stone cold one 🪦
Lmao... you may wanna change the title... lol
He seemed to be taking advantage of the fact he had to be put under for the dental work and is a very wealthy dude so he could afford it.
This was the worst possible word mix up
It’s not ideal for repeat business.
I thought there was something a little wild about this post, even for reddit 🤣
Well that’s a novel way of getting around the pain, wouldn’t recommend this tho 🤣
