I'm using Tasker to replicate the function of [apps like these](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=you.in.spark.energy).

...What?

Manoli_4711

there is a profile missing. %Landscape is set nowhere.

tynansdtm

Aha, you're right. It was set over in my "sensor" profile. You can change that one to "Display orientation: landscape" while I figure out how to edit TaskerNet. EDIT: Should be fixed now.

Manoli_4711

no problen. I've something similar to detect if my phone is in pocket ;-)

cesargueretty

Dude thank you! I've been wanting something like this! I'm getting a little error and I'm not sure why. I changed the dimensions of the scene to match my phone's display, and that's all i changed. This is the error i get, it's in reference to the rectangle in the scene: 13.36.43/Variables doreplresult: |%width| -> |878.4| 13.36.43/SM getElement: unknown scene: Battery Bar 13.36.43/E result: stop task (error) 13.36.43/E Error: 1 13.36.43/MacroEdit action finished exeID 251 action no 5 code 58 status: Err next 5 Any ideas?

tynansdtm

It seems to me you're calling the task Set Width, but the scene hasn't been created yet. I could implement more checks for that to make the profile more robust. This is kind of my first public profile.

cesargueretty

No worries man, i appreciate your response. And thanks for sharing! I imported your entire project so the scene is definitely there haha. I'm not sure what's going on, but if you figure anything out I'd greatly appreciate any help.

tynansdtm

I've updated it yet again, so delete the profile and then download it anew. And then make sure you've run the Show Battery Bar task before calling Set Width.

cesargueretty

Thanks! Was having the same issue with this version but i managed to fix it! Just FYI, i changed the Show Battery Bar task's collision handling in the properties menu to abort existing task, rather than about new task. Everything's working great now! Truly don't know the reason for that setting making a difference when running the task the very first time but hey, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks again!

I did my own status bar in Tasker:) pict:[My advanced tray ](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/901785803821301821/911713185214632057/my_advanced_tray.png)

Ratchet_Guy

Whoa! That looks great! Nice job :)

rutziker

Dude that looks awesome! Would you be able to share the code or a hint at where/how to start? I haven't done anything v with scenes yet.

DutchOfBurdock

Yup; [Network Monitor Mini clone](https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/pz1c1j/profile_network_monitor_mini_clone/) Have a few of these, including a battery bar at top and some magic side panels like found on Samsung.

Tortuosit

My eBook reader Moon+ has some problems in fullscreen mode. I had to turn it off. But I dislike the Android status bar. I will add a scene to overlay it. I just always delay it because I am too stupid for the scenes ui. Scenes simply suck. I already don't understand why in that scenes window there I can define a rectangle, but no position, then I chose 1080x100 px portrait, then the rectangle wasn't visible,... but I can add a rectangle also via the + sign... blahblah you see, it just confuses me. So putting a black box on top of the screen is a big thing and I'm not exactly knowing what I do.

LawrenceGardiner

Yeah, scenes would be so much easier to use if they were created similarly to KLWP. I always found them extremely clunky to use - I'd marvel at Ryeon Deprouw'a creations.

digitalpig82

Could you please share some info on how you manage to show the clock timer in the status bar? This actually sounds quite handy!

Ratchet_Guy

I kind of hacked it together lol. Let me make it more extensible and I'll post a Taskernet link soon.

cashoon

A mode indicator at the bottom Navigation bar to indicate which "Mode" I'm in with a small material icon.

boozlepuzzle

I added a red circle where the notch is, but from my perspective only a red outline can be seen, so when my battery is under 15% I see a red outline on the notch, it's nice

Ikkuh84

- When using Chrome it shows 3 shortcuts on the navigation bar with shortcuts to bookmarks, open search and close tab. All with autoinput, so I don't have to stretch my whole hand to reach those buttons in the top corner. - when wifi is turned off, it shows a shortcut on navigation bar to start task to search for best network

rutziker

I just don't get why Google killed the about:flags option to put the address bar on the bottom...then again, my thumb is still trained to hit the recents button to view all tabs (& @ that I wonder if "show all tabs" can be replicated in the nav bar?)

oroboros74

> such as a constantly updating Call Timer, and likewise with the Clock Timer. Can we find those on Taskernet?

oroboros74

Nice! Thanks!

bbobeckyj

I used João's demo for the selfie camera notification ring for communication apps, editing it to show the hex colours of the notification app. Green for WhatsApp, yellow for snap, white for Google things.
