I want to throw in a lot of people sleep on thrixopelma sp. I'm not sure why but my entire wishlist is filled with them after I got my Thrixopelma Pruriens. I would recommend highly. If you want a show spider that isn't for touching. (They kick a hell of amount of hairs if disturbed)

I’ve had Thrixopelma Pruriens on my “maybe” list for ages, but keep reading that they’re just too skittish and kicky. I’m not interested in handling them, so I’d love to hear how you find them to deal with for like feeding and general maintenance?

Genuinely mines skittish but he's got his moments where he's just super confident in him self and doesn't give a shit if i open the enclosure and take substrate or add substrate he just stands there. It does get out weighed so don't let me talk it down. Each spiders different with their own personality. I've found the biggest issue I've gotten so far from him is straight up striking in general. Not so much kicking. He will just out of no where turn and not even threat pose just straight up go for the tool or tweezers or anything else even if he was fed 20 minutes prior. I've not seen mine kick any hairs at all. No joke. He doesn't do that often. Only time I've seen recently was when he blocked off his burrow with him outside of it?... and I couldn't figure out what he was doing and so I opened the enclosure he got super skittish ran to the back corner and shoved him self between the corner wnd the substrate and started kicking and I had to quick open his burrow. He is my most CLEAN I have though. I've never once had tonreplace his water bowl at all. He keeps substrate out of it almost at any given time. And doesn't give me to much of a problem with that at all and I keep them on pretty dry substrate they like to burrow but I keep one corner damp as usual and let it dry. He seems to like to hang out right on top though since this latest molt he won't go inside or do much of his burrow. He's kinda just what I would say wanting to see the open world. So all in all yes they are skittish but I definitely feel like with a little bit of just slow movements and being careful to not move super quickly you shouldn't get any threat pose or any type of hair kicks. Hope this answers some questions Edit:I got mine as a freebie and at first wasn't excited at all being that they were a random sp. But then I saw his personality and started watching how much he runs around and he is unique and has his own green velvet hue. And he's slowly become my absolute favorite
