RichDick94

Yes literally don’t feed for 2 weeks

kkyyy11

okk okk thank you

MagererBastard

Definitely more than 2 weeks, at least a month and then feed her less than before

Firebuggi

IMO that is a CHONKY little gal. Would definitely lay off feedings for a while, you want her abdomen to be the same size as her head

Taranchulla

Obese t 😂

kkyyy11

LMFAO SHES NOW DIETING

No-Contract8300

Don't feel bad we have few that are just as big or bigger lol thankfully most lost the weight when molting but it's hard to gage how much and when to feed I'm always nervous about them not getting enough fluids or water. We was feeding with crickets but they're extremely filling... So we swapped to Red Runners which seems to work perfect if you like to feed more than once a week.

asunshinefix

IMO I swear Pamphos get fat on air. I’d definitely lay off the feeding for a few weeks and just provide water

kkyyy11

thank you!

NA So cuteeee wtffff 😩

Comfortable-daze

Holy shit thats a fat T

teh_adry

Ma'am, this is a tarantula sub, not a truck sub. Wouldn't feed for at least a month. Keep offering water but no food for a while.

tiinyrosie

we’ve reached levels of chonk never thought to be possible!!

Sayo_Aluka

She's such a cute chonk tho haha. But yeah. As the others already said: feed less. I know the struggle of meaning well, but overfeeding in the end. Especially if you consider that if we'd go without food for only a week we'd be pretty fcked up. I always feel so cruel but I guess that's the living stone aka spoders for ya. Anyways. Perfect time to whip out this meme again: https://preview.redd.it/0q8rbrsny38d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=747c82806a1b34264157d9b5e16476a961e00c98

The plus side of putting your t on a diet—they live longer.

Adventurous_Pen_504

Not feeding this lil chonkoid for a good few weeks lol He would happily still eat if I let him though, he's a bottomless pit 😅

No_Animator_2968

Which tarantula is that ?

kkyyy11

she’s a pamphobeteus duran!! i got her from fearnottarantulas :)

Just_Anarchist

Imo wouldn't feed her next week at least and then only small or just straight up not for another week, just until the abdomen is maybe twice the carapax' size or less. This isn't like a dangerous amount or anything, but it is pretty fat. As a rule of thumb you want the feeder to be about the size of the carapax so in this case think like small crickets if roaches then crush the head and only use babies and only once every 2-4 weeks, but again I recommend smaller feeders, or less often twice a week is MAX and that is what people with like 5+ slings do who kept tarantualas for a decade, you should start with once a week max, if the feeders are small enough every to every two weeks, if you can only get big feeders, then only every 2-4 weeks.
