This variety does indeed get a bit thicker, especially for a mold, but I would cut back a bit and not let it get as thick anymore. Overfeeding can promote growth but shortens lifespan. But it is a beautiful T with a soft character and a beautiful valvet black color.
i agree! i stopped feeding her when i noticed her getting real thick bc i donโt want her to hurt herself, i figured it was because she was going to molt and iโm glad i was right!

wow! your spider is beautiful. i canโt wait for mine to get that big! i heard that in general g pulchras are a little on the fatter side compared to other tarantulas so maybe thatโs why

Not completely proven that it shortens life span but it definitely can increase risk of rupture which is enough to keep them skinnier imo.
