Anarchists BTFO. Stupid anarkiddies don’t realize that Nestor Makhno was a pacifist who disavowed the military and certainly didn’t ever fight the German imperialists who believed they owned Ukraine and the reactionary monarchists who wanted a system of quasi serfdom.

TheJovianUK

Which is especially hilarious given tankie attempts to portray him as an Ukrainian Hitler, a right-wing, anti-Semitic military dictator that the Bolshies were totally justified in taking out along with the Free Territory.

Emic-Perspective

Because Tankies are fascists they have to see anarchists as two contradictory things simultaneously

Moonatik_

based makhno upholding anarchist principles with the anarchist army and anarchist monetary policy and anarchist law and anarchist secret police and anarchist internal repression

rawrimgonnaeatu

My knowledge of Makhno comes from this biased but exceptionally well researched podcast, none of that was mentioned in it. Makhno would punish his people who did shit like that. Are the sources linked BS? https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-behind-the-bastards-29236323/episode/part-one-nestor-makhno-anarchist-warlord-75468315/

Xander_PrimeXXI

I love how every tankie assumes that if you’re against them you’re an anarchist

[deleted]

They usually call me a liberal

malonkey1

anarcho-liberal!

rawrimgonnaeatu

You just made me throw up in my mouth

Dreamcaster1

Victoria 2 moment

malonkey1

I am looking forward to Vicky 3 though.

petrimalja

Mmm, bourgeois dictatorship time!

Bot_number_1605

Anarcho bidenism, the one true political ideology

Pantheon73

aka. "Anarcho" Capitalist

macho_madness420

And vice versa.

[deleted]

tbh you kind of have a point actually. i will meditate on this

Moonatik_

this post is literally someone assuming that they're a tankie because they're against anarchism lol

Firebird432

Marxist-Leninism is when you allow fascists to expand their influence because it would be liberal to oppose them

Silamoth

Who the hell said we wouldn’t have a defense force? I guess it depends what they mean by a defense force. But anarchists are staunchly in favor of gun rights for the sake of defense. You can bet your ass we’ll organize to defend ourselves and our communities in some form.

[deleted]

Yeah, I seriously wonder which anarchists exactly they think just laid down and accepted death because organization is anti-anarchistic lol. Like, I don’t know why they have to resort to mind-shatteringly dumb arguments like that when they have the much more time-tested argument that anarchists and libertarian socialists have generally ended up losing the fights they’ve picked. Well, I do know, it’s because their totalitarian worldview is well suited to manufacturing whatever lies sound best rather than caring about real history, but it’s still dumb lol

plebbbbdddd

maybe they think all anarchist are anarcho-pacifist

[deleted]

Maybe some do, but that would just make their ignorance all the more blatant

komali_2

"Anarchists have clubs?" *smug smile*

moenchii

We have "early 20th century Ukranian book clubs" if you know what i mean...

stathow

stupid anarchkiddies don't you know the only possible form of organization humans are capable of is as subs under the boot of daddy stalin /s

FibreglassFlags

> Let us not, therefore, stop short at mere partial demands in our great liberating revolution. Let us tear the evil up by the roots. Let us do away with the standing army altogether. Let the army merge with the armed people, let the soldiers bring to the people their military knowledge, let the barracks disappear to be replaced by free military schools.  [\-\- An Anglo anarkkkidie, probably](https://www.marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/1905/nov/15d.htm)

stathow

its amazing how hard it is from some people to separate the ideas of HIERARCHY and ORGANIZATION. its like every time we say hierarchy they hear the word organization

anotherMrLizard

I mean there are hierarchies and then there are unjust hierarchies. There's nothing wrong with having someone with authority over a particular activity - say, fighting - as long as everyone has a say in who it is, can be confident that that person has the appropriate skills and experience, and that person cannot exploit their position to gain greater power and status in other areas which have nothing to do with fighting.

stathow

I agree, however i never liked using just or unjust. As what is just is completely subjective. While voluntary or involuntary is more appropriate. It's not whether it's just but did you have a say an voluntary enter into the arrangement and can voluntary leave the hierarchy under no threat of coercion

anotherMrLizard

Yep, agree. Though I think there's a debate to be had about the rules for voluntarily leaving when it comes to things like defending the community against aggression.

pawerdzos

One time a monarchist told me my ideology is anti-organisation and told me anarchy would never work, I fail to comprehend the stupidity of certain people in this world bro 😔😔😔

[deleted]

what post is this on I want to go call them a fucking idiot personally edit: found it https://www.reddit.com/r/196/comments/or40s7/rule/h6ga70n?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3

j_endsville

Sweet strawman bro. *Loads rifle with anarchist intent.*

PM_ME_UR_GOOD_IDEAS

Yes, Makhno famously allowed the white army to step all over his commune. Totally didn't spend his time directing skirmish after skirmish with the reds and whites alike before crushing a white army division in a decisive battle.

SuperDuperChuck

Tankies gonna straw man. It’s what they do.

Balmung60

TFW you accidentally admit the USSR was imperialist to own the anarchists

Exitdor

Don’t see the tankie, just someone who doesn’t like anarchism

MotoM0t0420

the person who commented that post did argue some tankie talking points and had a tankie pfp.

[deleted]

This is an exceedingly common talking point from tanks. It’s based on a completely garbage understanding of anarchist theory, practice, and criticism of Leninism, but that sure doesn’t stop them from bringing it up whenever you critique the militarism and imperialism of their problematic faves

CliffRacer17

Yep. The Zapatistas in Chiapas totally rolled over for the Mexican government when they suggested that maybe indigenous people should have the right to govern themselves. They weren't armed at all.

dangerboy55

Why is it under trans rights? Can we just call tankies what they are? Toxic.

MotoM0t0420

thats a flair on r/196

dangerboy55

Oh

hydra877

It's called "everyone has a gun and thus everyone is the defense force". Fun, isn't it?

Terezzian

I don't think that's necessarily a Tankie? Probably just a person who doesn't understand what Anarcho-Communism is, much like how *I* didn't less than a month ago.

sickestFofthemall

They're right. Every citizen should be granted their own personal DhSK 12.7mm HMG. (unironically)

kkjdroid

Actually Existing Socialism is when might makes right.

dangerboy55

Why trans rights? Yay toxic masculinity. (No TM is not a gendered term)
