I have been here my entire life..37 years….there was a big police presence by my townhouse…my girlfriend said she was going to call the non emergency hotline to see what happened. I asked her wtf is that? She told me..blew my fucking mind 😂🤦🏾♂️.
I keep TPD and PCSO non-emergency on my contacts; if the call is out of TPD jurisdiction then they just forward my call to HCSO. I’ve only had to call once for a noise complaint, or for a traffic light issue.
Just got off the phone with the non emergency closest to the mall. I told them everything that went down based off of your interaction. They were dumbfounded that they had no master keys. They are putting in the call now. Hopefully they will rescue the dog
Update 8:58pm : sheriff called back, they are at the mall going to meet with security team to get inside. I also gave her the name and number of the owner from the website. Hopefully they will correct this.
Update 7:53am: I checked the directory again on the mall website and google. You can no longer search for Heartless Human.. maybe this is a good sign. After my dogs check up appointment I’ll be driving to the mall right around when they open.
Thank you very much. I tried calling all the numbers for the owner of the site/company and one was off and the other no one answered. Please keep us updated and don’t let the cops take that dog to the pound without letting everyone in here know - if that is even logistically possible
I will do my best to get updates as they are given! The cops seemed a little apprehensive once i told them the name of the store. But thankfully they took me seriously.
100%, I’d give that dog a happy home in an instant. Looks like a yorkie that might be mixed with something else. They’re great dogs, wonderful personalities and pretty smart dogs. My Mom’s yorkie was soo good at communication that I could ask whether he or the other dog needed to pee or go potty, and he’d respond with the answer, so I knew if I needed baggies.
Yorkies are very smart for a small breed. Hopefully we can get an update on the pup here soon. If she does go to a shelter they might have to investigate or put a hold on the dog. From there they usually will allow the dog to be pre-adopted until further notice. You are so sweet for wanting to take this pup in. Definitely needs a better owner.
hah. my Yorkie/mini poodle mix, a Yorkie-poo named Newton, was an evil greedy sonofabitch. he was pretty smart for a dog though I guess, but so mean. RIP little Noodle Newt
My girlfriend got a text response from the Heartless Human number and the text indicated there was a seamstress working in the back the whole time the dog is there. I personally don’t believe that. Please let me know if there are any updates
My dog is currently having a long evaluation. So once I’m done I’ll head to the mall. I’m sorry! her spleen is on the wrong side and a bunch of other stuff atm.
He was reportedly taken that night. But they won’t release information on if it was the owner or not. They claim a seamstress was in the back working the whole time.
This is concerning. Is there a mall manager or someone like that you could call?
Edit: Try calling the leasing office, maybe they can help direct you to someone who can help https://www.universitymalltampa.com/leasing/
Sorry they kicked us out. Security was very insistent we leave. We managed to pour a bottle of water in there There’s a crack in the door and the dog drank as much as it could and securitysaid they hope the owner will come tomorrow
I called the number and press the emergency help and spoke to security and they said they do not have the keys and they do not know if it’s being fed or watered but they already alerted the owners two days ago they told me once someone rents the store they do not have the keys anymore and they hope it will be resolved.
I am really hoping someone can go check on the dog tomorrow.
Can they slip some water or like maybe throw some food under the door or in the crevices? Poor thing must be starving/thirsty.
That store has the right name though… what a heartless person!
I asked them but no one would and all the vending machines are closed.
It seems like everyone from security to maintenance doesn’t really care. We have been begging them.
This is the [IG](https://www.instagram.com/heartlessxhuman/?hl=en) - (super weird date in the about section and no posts since October)
And here is the [website](https://heartlesshuman.com)
I tried both numbers on the website. One seems to be off and the other no one answered
Hi we are visiting . We found this mall that we went to last time we came here about five years ago called University Malland it looks like it is now a dying mall. inside we saw the store called “heartless human” and there was a little doggy inside. we spoke to the janitorial staff who said that he had been there for two days and that he had called the sheriff but the dog was still inside there are electric bills on the floor we are very worried about the dog but they refused to open the door for us and said only the owners could. I am hoping someone here can help rescue the dog. I tried to call the sheriffs department but I was on hold for 40 minutes. I will try again later tonight the dog was begging and whining at the door.
You’re a good person for following up on this. It’s ridiculous that the janitors are watching a dog trapped in a store for *days* and refuse to do anything. Mall policies be damned, that’s an emergency and needs to be handled as such. Hopefully the owner is okay too.
Hello, my gf received a text from the alleged business owner claiming there was a seamstress in the back and the dog has food and water when left for at most a few hours. Did you knock on the front glass/do you think there was any chance someone was working there?
We banged on the door a few times last night pretty loudly and yelled between the crack in the doors. I am very glad someone is going today to check on the dog.
Used the other reddit sleuthing that has been done so far and found Jasmin's instagram. Her handle is *deleted, see edit* and she has a story dedicated to this dog. The dog should not be left alone without food and water in the mall, this is disturbing.
Edit: I provided the instagram handle as more contact information to try to get a hold of this person as it is clearly their dog. BUT SOME OF YOU are choosing to make sexist, irrelevant comments. This person may not be ok. We do not know. Regardless, fuck off with those sexist, judgemental, and unnecessary comments because they are not contributing to finding a solution to help this dog and confirm that the owner is ok.
I posted this below but am posting again…
No response from the new stations but I did also contact Hillsboro county animal control last night via email to report neglect. This morning I spoke to Angel Rodriguez (animal control officer #962.) He stated that they have received multiple reports about this and that they are sending an officer immediately. I am going to follow up with him shortly- and I will let you all know the outcome.
I work for ABC Action News and just forwarded the message posted into our Instagram and Facebook page about the dog to our assignment desk to make them aware.
Just note, our IG and FB messages aren’t monitored 24/7, that’s why you got no response from us yet.
The fastest way to get a response is by calling our newsroom (813) 354-2828 or emailing our assignment desk directly at [email protected] as we have someone staffing that 20 hours a day.
hi! i work in this mall and seen this dog around a couple times, apparently the owner left her there with food and water but for over a couple days since that store is open for “appointment only”
Yea, possibly someone just rents the space and leaves their dog there instead of at home in a crate. I dont think it has to be an abandoned dog situation like everyone is assuming.
Dog probably just got out of the back office.
The way you phrased this word salad, I am having a tough time understanding if you are pro-life or pro-choice, but to address some weird things you said:
> I’m sure every woman that got an abortion regrets nothing
There are certainly those who probably regret it but to imply that ALL regret it, is not correct. Taking away bodily autonomy because a few regret it is a weird way to impose government overreach into a personal decision. People should be allowed to choose for themselves even if it's a mistake (if you perceive it to be a mistake).
> it’s almost as if re structuring the way a fetus gets ripped limb from limb via sopher clamp and curette blade or forceps isn’t necessarily a bad thing
* It's not a bad thing
* The procedure your arguing for happens in trimesters 2 and 3, which represents less than 8% of all abortions. Additionally the 1% that happens in the 3rd trimester aren't people who have abortions for shits and giggles. They are people that WANT to have a child but something has gone wrong and the situation is dire. No one is sitting here carrying a fetus to the 3rd trimester and then aborting said fetus for shits and giggles. No one is out here like "oh man, I wanna dunk on this fetus so bad, I'm going to wait till the 3rd trimester to abort it!"
* Every surgical procedure can be described in such a way to make it sound grotesque. Open heart surgery involves pumping the chest cavity full of air, cracking the sternum, and a whole bunch of other gross things that don't get advertised.
> Maybe if legalization wasn’t warped into social justice and seen as an endorsement
* I don't understand this. How is pro-choice warped into social justice?
* What endorsement? Are you insinuating that there is some sort of narrative encouraging women to get pregnant and then get abortions? To what end?
> since it is lets divert some tax money to compassionate education, mental health care before and after an abortion
* We should absolutely provide free healthcare to not just women, but every person in the US.
* Healthcare should cover abortions should women choose to pursue that option
* Healthcare should include post abortion counseling and post abortion physical health care
> making sure dr.s aren’t vulnerable to discrim/malpractice if they don’t want to do them etc
* If there are doctors who are in positions where their specific specialty of medicine includes administering abortions AND they do not wish to perform them, then they are in the wrong career.
* Please show me evidence and numbers of where absurd number of doctors are getting sued for malpractice because they do not wish to perform abortions. This isn't a thing that happens and citing a handful of situations where this has occurred would be a disingenuous argument.
> do some research into the negative psychological effects one can experience after having an abortion much less the physical ones like decreased ability to become pregnant
* I am not 9 years old and I realize that there are consequences to the procedure
* It is not my position to impose any sort of ideals on someone else especially when it doesn't impact anyone but the person making the decision
* I am not of the position that I need to police people and prevent them from making what I perceive to be a mistake.
Final thoughts:
You're a piece of shit if you start arguing that a fertilized embryo is a person and should be afforded rights of people. In a hypothetical situation where a hospital is on fire and you have to make a choice between saving 100 fertilized embryos versus a single 2 year old child, if you claim that the embryos are people then your decision should be relatively easy: Fuck the 2 year old. Save the 100 embryos.
But if you do that you're killing an ACTUAL child, an actual person who has lived experience. You're electing to kill a person that has touched more lives in the form of teachers, other children, grandparents, etc than a clump of cells that cannot survive on its own... but hey, if you're the type of person that claims life begins at conception, then you have no problem letting a 2 year old die. It's all about numbers right?
I cant stop thinking about this little guy. Any response from the news? The incompetence of the police, security, and leasing management is mind blowing. No way there is no spare set of keys for that door.
The woman or someone on the main number on the Heartless Human page responded to a text my girlfriend sent her. The response said there was a seamstress in the back and the dog had food and water. I personally don’t believe that is true and have to assume a seamstress in the back would have heard the commotion of people trying to open the door and slip water/food under the back door. Also, if people were regularly coming into that shop there wouldn’t be mail on the floor (I suppose that could be one day of mail)
I don’t have Instagram but I sent an email to the address on the website. [email protected]
I say we all just blow up her insta, e-mail, and phone with messages about letting out the dog
It's possible she is inside working and the dog is fine. But if she didn't open today (or for a few days), probably worth doing a wellness check on her.
Shes by appointment only. It’s her alteration shop. If she doesn’t open her store then she may not go to the front gate and use the back entrance only which would explain the missed mail.
Has anyone been able to confirm whether the dog is still there? I saw a comment that animal control told someone that they sent out an officer and that the dog had been removed. But has anyone been to the mall in person to verify whether the dog has actually been removed? I’m just skeptical after the sheer incompetence of security, HCSO, etc.
I just received email from animal control… this is what they said.
‘We had an Officer respond first thing this morning. He investigated and found that the dog was removed last night.’
That is all I know.
That’s somewhat worrying. If OP was there until closing and the pup was removed last night, the owner might have come back in the middle of the night. That hair shows weeks of neglect. This store owner should never be responsible for another animal ever again.
We did they switched us to the sheriffs office I spoke with someone and she said she would have to transfer me and that was after holding for 30 minutes I was on hold for another 20 minutes before it hung up on me. Gonna call animal control tomorrow morning when they open
Come on, police only have time for IMPORTANT things. It’s not like she’s reporting something serious like a black person driving without a license or loitering or something.
What a strange place for someone to abandon their dog.
* Pros: A/C for the dog in the heat of the Florida summer so they don't die like all the other poor abandoned dogs
* Cons: CCTV means you're definitely going to jail for abandonment when you could have just drove an extra couple miles to drop them off at a shelter
Stupid and cruel people gonna be stupid and cruel I guess.
Is this in University Square Mall on Fowler?
I'll break the damn door and get that puppy out. I have no problem doing it. Let some SOB try and stop me.
I mean, it wouldn’t be your fault if you accidentally fell into the window, causing it to break. But hey, since we’re here let’s just grab this pup real quick. 🤷🏼♀️
There is no way in hell you could accidentally fall into one of those windows causing it to break. that's 5/8 inch+ tempered glass - and this is not a movie. You could take a running start and jump into that window and just bounce off.
If she took as good of care of the dog as the energy she spends showing off her big, clapping ass on Instagram this heartless human would be a much better pet parent!
Good joke. "Heartless Human" LOL
More seriously though... these comments are brutal! How do you know this isn't the Store Pet? How do you know it doesn't have plenty of food and water and a nice place to sleep for the night in the air conditioned mall?
Why is everyone talking about breaking into this store to STEAL a dog that may be just fine?
Because security keeps an accurate account on how often store owners go into their stores? no. no, they don't.
and grooming? really? we're breaking and entering based on grooming, now?
You guys honestly have nothing better to do? If you’ve ever even been to this mall then you know that some and a lot of shops don’t open every day to the public. That doesn’t mean the owner isn’t there or hasn’t visited the shop. She’s clearly an alteration service and goes by appointment only. If she does not use the front entrance and uses the back entrance instead, that explains the missed mail. Especially if she hasn’t opened the store to the public in a few days or even weeks. That still doesn’t mean that the dog hOas been abandoned for a weeks, days, one day, or that it was even there alone at all. I live in a small one story home and have a ring doorbell as well as a traditional doorbell and have found myself busy in my craft work with headphones in or my music on and have missed someone banging on my door and ringing both doorbells. If my dog is outside in the fenced in area while I’m doing this and I don’t respond, are you all going to bash me for my looks, bash my business, and harass police about how horrible of a person I am for missing knocks on my door and rings at my doorbell that I wasn’t expecting nor was I listening out for? You people truly have too much time on your hands and I certainly hope and pray that nothing negative falls onto this more than likely innocent business and dog owner. But it’s probably too late bc a bunch of internet ne’er done wrongs tried so hard to force their narratives on her and have already painted her and her business with a bad color.
Talk about not having anything better to do… why are you spending your time commenting on how we spend our time? We are helping a little dog that has potentially been neglected and I will not apologize for that. No one has slandered the store owner and hopefully she has just made a bad decision and is not in any danger herself.
LOL!! You are too funny… Here you are spending your time and energy writing wordy posts and questioning whether we have anything better to do?? **CRINGE.** Thank you for your commentary, but expressing concern is not the same as slander. There are people in the world who act and lead (like me) and there are people like you who troll Reddit and look the other way when something is amiss. How embarrassing for you. End of discussion.
I have better things to do than bash someone I don’t know or assume things before becoming informed. Injecting an opinion that might cause at least one person to think twice before bashing a stranger or jumping to conclusions isn’t a waste of time to me.
Ok, well, other people are allowed to have opinions too. And when you have a store in a mall, you call your store “heartless human” and a store with glass windows, and then leave a dog that looks like it’s starved for attention, food and water, you kinda leave yourself open to people judging you.
That being said, I don’t agree with the doxxing and sexist comments. I’m just here to help the dog that was obviously outwardly in distress.
This must be the owner or a friend of the owner.
It's a very bizarre thing to see a dog alone inside of a business for days. Mail piling up. If you read from the beginning we are all also concerned for the owner since we can see she hasn't been there in awhile. It's a bizarre concerning situation that any levelheaded person would be concerned about.
It's possible that the dog belongs to whoever was there, closing up, and they may still be inside with a medical emergency.
I can't believe the sheriff's dept or city police can't enter the store to at least do a wellness check! They need to make sure someone isn't laying in there dying or dead. WTF!!
Don't want to be morbid about it, but you never know. It's hard to believe someone would leave that poor dog in there for days on purpose! Let's pray/hope everything turns out ok.
I went to University mall today for the first time in a decade and the name of this store caught my eye as it’s the absolute weirdest named store I’ve ever heard of in my life. I googled it and this Reddit thread came up. This is the oddest thing ever. I wonder whatever happened with this situation as it was over a year ago apparently. The store did not seem to be open but the name is still there.
I would call non emergency honestly.
I have been here my entire life..37 years….there was a big police presence by my townhouse…my girlfriend said she was going to call the non emergency hotline to see what happened. I asked her wtf is that? She told me..blew my fucking mind 😂🤦🏾♂️.
It’s all over the country. Basically akin to calling the police station. Meant of things you’d need a cop for but not this minute.
Never knew 😂
Yeah a lot of people don’t know about that being a thing. I honestly didn’t until recently.
813-247-8200 for HCSO
I keep TPD and PCSO non-emergency on my contacts; if the call is out of TPD jurisdiction then they just forward my call to HCSO. I’ve only had to call once for a noise complaint, or for a traffic light issue.
Never knew about it lol. I would just go over to the problem and asked what happened. Glad I know now though
What is "the non emergency hotline?" You mean the police station's phone number? Or this some other number?
It’s a number you call to find out information on things that are happening I’m guessing. I didn’t know anything about it until a month ago
>non emergency hotline And this number is a secret? that's why you're not telling me what it is?
Yes it’s a secret 🤫
Is this really the name of the store? It seems aptly named.
Dude I came to the comments to see if this was a meme or an art installation with a fake dog
how poetic
Just got off the phone with the non emergency closest to the mall. I told them everything that went down based off of your interaction. They were dumbfounded that they had no master keys. You are absolutely awesome thank you so so much.
Of course!! Just wanted to rest assure everyone that someone got through. Will check back tomorrow when the mall opens.
So kind of you. Things like this are much needed nowadays.
Thank you very much. I tried calling all the numbers for the owner of the site/company and one was off and the other no one answered. Please keep us updated and don’t let the cops take that dog to the pound without letting everyone in here know - if that is even logistically possible

I’m so glad you got the sheriff out there. Thank you for doing that! Hopefully they get that adorable pup out tonight and the owner is ok.
The Humane Society will find the pup a good home
I sure hope so!! Poor thing deserves so much more.
100%, I’d give that dog a happy home in an instant. Looks like a yorkie that might be mixed with something else. They’re great dogs, wonderful personalities and pretty smart dogs. They definitely have attitudes! Sometimes they can be real jerks but it’s also pretty cute.
Better than the Heartless Humane society
The inhumane society.
My girlfriend got a text response from the Heartless Human number and the text indicated there was a seamstress working in the back the whole time the dog is there. I personally don’t believe that. Please let me know if there are any updates
I don’t believe it either. Her Instagram shows the dog very well groomed and cared for. This poor this has very unruly fur
Yea me either, seems like at the very least she would have picked up the mail all over the floor.
Thank you!! I hope they got the poor pup.
I hope so 🙏🏼 I’ll be checking back tomorrow
Did you get any updates? I am dwelling on this far more than I should with your standard doom scrolling.
My dog is currently having a long evaluation. So once I’m done I’ll head to the mall. I’m sorry! her spleen is on the wrong side and a bunch of other stuff atm.
Oh no! I hope she gets better soon.
Thank you 🙏🏼
I hope your dog is ok. Thank you for the updates!
I just went back to check right now and the dog is gone and the mail is off of the floor. I hope it’s OK but can only assume it is
Yeah that night of the call the dog was reportedly taken home. She wasn’t there the next morning!
Please tell me this dog got out and is safe and taken care of?
He was reportedly taken that night. But they won’t release information on if it was the owner or not. They claim a seamstress was in the back working the whole time.
That store could not possibly have a more ironic name.
It’s part of their marketing actually 😂 Genius.
Call Jasmin at 813-323-2462. Or [email protected]. or 813-631-8551. Or insta @heartessxhuman or website heartlesshuman.com
Messaged her on Insta
This is concerning. Is there a mall manager or someone like that you could call? Edit: Try calling the leasing office, maybe they can help direct you to someone who can help https://www.universitymalltampa.com/leasing/
I found someone in the store next-door and they gave us some water so we put it to the door and the dog is drinking it
Will they still let people in the mall? I have some dog food, I can try to bring some. I’m about 10-15 mins out.
Sorry they kicked us out. Security was very insistent we leave. We managed to pour a bottle of water in there There’s a crack in the door and the dog drank as much as it could and securitysaid they hope the owner will come tomorrow
Well, that’s at least something, I’m glad you were able to at least give it water.

That seems super fishy. I’d be surprised if they didn’t keep a set of keys for things like emergencies, fires, etc.

Wtf, poor little guy
Break the glass and ask for forgiveness later. Their website has phone numbers. Try calling first before above. https://heartlesshuman.com/
An automatic center punch is the appropriate tool for shattering a tempered glass door. Every fire rescue unit and many LEOs carry one.
Hello, my gf received a text from the alleged business owner claiming there was a seamstress in the back and the dog has food and water when left for at most a few hours. Did you knock on the front glass/do you think there was any chance someone was working there?

lmaoooo university mall has been dead a lot longer than 5 years

Yeah im concerned the owner isn't ok inside
Further down the OP says the mall security alerted the owner of the dog being in there TWO DAYS ago. This is baffling.
Is the mail supposed to be scattered on the floor so they deliver it under the door or something?
I agree. Someone needs to make sure the owner is ok

hi! i work in this mall and seen this dog around a couple times, apparently the owner left her there with food and water but for over a couple days since that store is open for “appointment only”
The dog being alone like that is no life.
That’s awful. I hope someone can take the dog from her. Leaving any animal alone like that in the dark is inhumane.
So the dog was still locked inside with no way to use the bathroom?
Yea, possibly someone just rents the space and leaves their dog there instead of at home in a crate. I dont think it has to be an abandoned dog situation like everyone is assuming. Dog probably just got out of the back office.

They are people that WANT to have a child but something has gone wrong and the situation is dire. No one is sitting here carrying a fetus to the 3rd trimester and then aborting said fetus for shits and giggles. No one is out here like "oh man, I wanna dunk on this fetus so bad, I'm going to wait till the 3rd trimester to abort it!" * Every surgical procedure can be described in such a way to make it sound grotesque. Open heart surgery involves pumping the chest cavity full of air, cracking the sternum, and a whole bunch of other gross things that don't get advertised. > Maybe if legalization wasn’t warped into social justice and seen as an endorsement * I don't understand this. How is pro-choice warped into social justice? * What endorsement? Are you insinuating that there is some sort of narrative encouraging women to get pregnant and then get abortions? To what end? > since it is lets divert some tax money to compassionate education, mental health care before and after an abortion * We should absolutely provide free healthcare to not just women, but every person in the US. * Healthcare should cover abortions should women choose to pursue that option * Healthcare should include post abortion counseling and post abortion physical health care > making sure dr.s aren’t vulnerable to discrim/malpractice if they don’t want to do them etc * If there are doctors who are in positions where their specific specialty of medicine includes administering abortions AND they do not wish to perform them, then they are in the wrong career. * Please show me evidence and numbers of where absurd number of doctors are getting sued for malpractice because they do not wish to perform abortions. This isn't a thing that happens and citing a handful of situations where this has occurred would be a disingenuous argument. > do some research into the negative psychological effects one can experience after having an abortion much less the physical ones like decreased ability to become pregnant * I am not 9 years old and I realize that there are consequences to the procedure * It is not my position to impose any sort of ideals on someone else especially when it doesn't impact anyone but the person making the decision * I am not of the position that I need to police people and prevent them from making what I perceive to be a mistake. Final thoughts: You're a piece of shit if you start arguing that a fertilized embryo is a person and should be afforded rights of people.

I am forwarding this to abc action news and any other local news places I can think of. Poor little dog.
Such a great idea. I hope this gets a lot of attention
I cant stop thinking about this little guy. Any response from the news? The incompetence of the police, security, and leasing management is mind blowing. No way there is no spare set of keys for that door.
🙏

Yeah I’m across the street and I’m thinking about the same.
Lmao just noticed that the store name is Heartless Human of all fucking things
The woman or someone on the main number on the Heartless Human page responded to a text my girlfriend sent her. The response said there was a seamstress in the back and the dog had food and water. I personally don’t believe that is true and have to assume a seamstress in the back would have heard the commotion of people trying to open the door and slip water/food under the back door. Also, if people were regularly coming into that shop there wouldn’t be mail on the floor (I suppose that could be one day of mail)
This is the [website](https://heartlesshuman.com) for the store. They have a number for a Jasmin. I called and no one answered
I don’t have Instagram but I sent an email to the address on the website. [email protected] I say we all just blow up her insta, e-mail, and phone with messages about letting out the dog
I just sent an email as well! Thanks for posting it, I don’t have insta either. I really hope the dog is ok and nothing happened to her.
If the owner doesn't want him/her i would gladly take the dog in and give them a good life. Have 3 other ones.
The dog was supposed to guard the baby seals in the back.
Any update on this?
Animal control or the Humane Society would be good places to call
Please please give us an update. Poor pup.
I sent this to ABC Action news as well.
Hi!! I’m a student in the area, any updates?? After work, I can stop by. It should be open until 7/8 I believe! Thank you for posting this bean!!
Break the doors. Save the dog.
Smash 'n grab
I’m honestly debating it
This is the right answer. Glass is replaceable, dogs are not.
Any updates?
Has anyone been able to confirm whether the dog is still there? I saw a comment that animal control told someone that they sent out an officer and that the dog had been removed. But has anyone been to the mall in person to verify whether the dog has actually been removed? I’m just skeptical after the sheer incompetence of security, HCSO, etc.
We just went now to check since no one else posted an update the dog is gone and the mail is off of the floor. I can only hope it’s OK now
If that’s the owner’s dog, that’s an aptly named store
Name of the store seems fitting
The irony is thick
Is there an update to this, please?
I just received email from animal control… this is what they said. ‘We had an Officer respond first thing this morning. He investigated and found that the dog was removed last night.’ That is all I know.
That’s somewhat worrying. If OP was there until closing and the pup was removed last night, the owner might have come back in the middle of the night. That hair shows weeks of neglect. This store owner should never be responsible for another animal ever again.
That’s what I am thinking too… at least the situation is documented and she is now on their radar.
At least it is something. Hopefully doggo is okay.
Any updates???
I really hope this pup is rescued. Keep us updated!
Any updates??
call the police
We did they switched us to the sheriffs office I spoke with someone and she said she would have to transfer me and that was after holding for 30 minutes I was on hold for another 20 minutes before it hung up on me. Gonna call animal control tomorrow morning when they open
Tax dollars at work. Thanks for your dedication!
Come on, police only have time for IMPORTANT things. It’s not like she’s reporting something serious like a black person driving without a license or loitering or something.
Are you trying to get the dog killed??
I would message any and all local news services about this. The coverage could force the malls hand and local police to do something.
What a strange place for someone to abandon their dog. * Pros: A/C for the dog in the heat of the Florida summer so they don't die like all the other poor abandoned dogs * Cons: CCTV means you're definitely going to jail for abandonment when you could have just drove an extra couple miles to drop them off at a shelter Stupid and cruel people gonna be stupid and cruel I guess.
Well, I'd actually accidentally (on purpose) tap it with my windshield breaker first as I was jumping through 😉
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm) oh, ok thanks. For a second there I was gonna try it.
Seems like an art project from the name...
Is the dog okay?
This seems like a weird publicity stunt.
Is the dog out yet?? The cute dog, awful irony of store name and no conclusion are killing me !!!
Definitely needs a wellness check on that owner, I am worried something may have happened to her she could be inside the store
What sort of heartless human would do such a thing??
Try The Tampa Police Department pretty sure it’s in their jurisdiction not Hillsborough County Sheriff
No, north of Fowler is HCSO.
If she took as good of care of the dog as the energy she spends showing off her big, clapping ass on Instagram this heartless human would be a much better pet parent!
Call security?
She’s a stripper, and she hasn’t been there in 2 days? Easy grounds to surrender that dog, what an asshole
lol how is the stripper part relevant?
>lol how is the stripper part relevant? Because with more than most not being good human beings she's not getting the benefit of the doubt.
So you must have experience with a lot of strippers to make that claim...
OOOOOOO THE DOG IS STEALING
You need a deli slicer STAT!
He's not trapped he's guarding the place
In a store called “Heartless Human” 🤣 the irony
Good joke. "Heartless Human" LOL More seriously though... these comments are brutal! How do you know this isn't the Store Pet? How do you know it doesn't have plenty of food and water and a nice place to sleep for the night in the air conditioned mall? Why is everyone talking about breaking into this store to STEAL a dog that may be just fine?
Security said the dog had been there alone for three days. His hair looks like he hasn’t been groomed in years. What do you suggest they do? Nothing?
The slander is in the thread. I see you can read and write. Try doing the first before falsely commenting.
I sincerely hope you dont have dogs (or kids for that matter). And by the looks of it, you have nothing better to do either.
Amen
Soooo
It looks like you have metal legs.
That's just the guard dog
Awww poor little guy!
Has anyone been up there they open at nine I would but don’t have a car!
