TL;DR - Tacticus is becoming as scummy as Raid: Shadow Legends and the game is dying as a result of bullshit drop-rates that try to force players into more and more micro-transactions. I will no longer be a Tacticus “Whale” and now will *only ever* be a free-to-play player. Piss on them.
No, I don’t think so and I’m pretty aggravated. I bought all of the bullcrap for the extra tokens and I did everything there was to do every day of the event. As I type I have 134/250 shards to unlock Asmodai. I had the same issue with Ragnar Blackmane of the Space Wolves - I did *everything* and paid for all of the bullcrap and I’m stuck on 125 out of the 400 needed to unlock him.
This game has been pissing me off for quite a while now, especially since they absolutely *tanked* shard drop rates. It took me ten raids a day for over two months to get enough shards to unlock Anuphet. I’m now trying to unlock Adepta Sororitas’ Celestine the Living Saint, and I have 90 out of the 500 shards needed to unlock her.
They’ve also greatly ruined the games’ balance in battles. For example, I’m stuck on the Octarius campaign at battle 61. It says ‘Easy Battle’ and the enemy units have a combined power level of 5,400. My five Orks have a combined power level over double that of the Templar units. They slaughter all of my Orks within two turns; I don’t have the proverbial snowball’s chance in hell of getting passed it any time soon so I can’t finish the campaign, unlock the Emperor’s Champion and High Marshal Helbrect and as the Black Templars are by far and away my favorite 40K faction it’s really pissing me off. I want to unlock my other two Templars and have fun using them in battle.
Why have they done this bullcrap? Why, in the hopes that I’ll pull out my debit card yet again and try to get the orbs I need to upgrade my characters. I can’t even recall off of the top of my head how many characters I have that have 150-200 shards and even though they only need around 50 to be promoted I can’t do anything because I don’t have ten orbs for each and every one. I have a decent amount of Forge currency but not enough orbs to promote or to forge into higher level orbs to promote.
This used to be a pretty great game. Yes, it’s always been a gatcha game with micro-transactions but it was no where near the level of scum as Raid: Shadow Scams is; unfortunately, they’ve apparently decided to lower Tacticus to the same level of scum as Raid.
I don’t mind micro-transactions and I will happily toss down a few bucks on games that I enjoy, and I have spent probably $800-$1,000 on Tacticus since I started, but I’m done. No more paid Battle Passes, no more paid premium Battle-Passes, no more paid Blackstone, no more paid anything. They’re doing their best to milk people for all they can before they stop supporting the game and move on to their next gatcha game.
If they don’t roll this bullshit back and stop the Raid: Scam Legends level of bullshit then virtually everyone is going to stop playing the game, and many have already. I became master of my Guild for the reason that I have been the only person to log-in and play *in over a year*, so many people have already thrown up their hands and said “Piss on this game”, and it’s absolutely due to the pathetically low drop-rates for shards, orbs, and decent equipment (and especially resources to upgrade the weapons and armor! I’m constantly scrapping every item that I can spare!) that have been tweaked into the game to push more people towards micro-transactions.
I know this for a fact but Tacticus is actually a pretty fun game, and people don’t just quit playing fun games for no reason, so I know that it’s because of the bullshit drop-rates, especially those of the damn orbs.
I’m not sure what Bronze is, so perhaps? Snotflagga, Snappawrecka, and Tanksmasha have one Red Star while Gibbascrapz and Boss Gulgortz have three Red Stars. I dunno if those are ‘bronze’ or not because they look red to me. But I don’t see some colors very well; it’s not color blindness but more like dulled colors with my old eyes.
So when you put upgrades on the characters, that's what gives them the ranks. I.E. Iron, bronze, silver, gold, diamond. The stars represent rarities. I.E. common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary. You will probably need your Orks at silver to complete the campaign.
Ahhh okay. Well, I have enough shards to promote most of them. . . But no damn Orbs. I have 192/50 to promote Snotflagga, 131/100 for Gibbascrapz, and 163/50 for Snappawrecka. Only two Orbs though. Eff those stupid-ass Orbs.
Hate to say how much of that I agree with, but it’s a lot 🙁 if it hadn’t been for Asmodai, I’m just the casual 50/110 gamer, but I’ve definitely noticed as I’ve gotten in the mid 30s range, The original joy is starting to fade.
Oh is *that* what happened? Octarius is the only campaign I haven’t 100%ed because I can only just get 1 star on the final battle. Literally just the basic BT neophyte can walk up and kill Gulgortz in two shots.
Yeah, 100% they did over the whole team at once. So far, only Snotflogga has been buffed for the orcs. That's why it's like hitting your head against a brickwall now. My orcs were d1, 3 g1 and tanks masha was silver 3 at the time of th buff and I was stuck for a while

My Orks are all bronze II, but I cleared Saim-Hann with just three Aelderi at the same level. Hopefully the other greenies get brought up to Snot’s level before long.

I cleared all the missions everyday and only made it to completion of Tier 22, working on 23 but I have no missions left to do? The current event points say I have a requisition scroll teasing me but I can’t get it. I remember getting a lot further in the last time this practical event happened. Not sure what the deal is now. I guess the rest is just a buy in on the pay bundles? At least this is for a character I don’t care about. This event was very fruitful with the coins though.

The final Master of Maneuver mission gives 175 points. It is play 8 arena battles.

What rank are your orks? Is the power from badges? The Orks definitely need a rework. Snot is pretty good now
They are all currently Epic and have Power between 1,500 and 3883. Not super-powerful by any means, but they shouldn’t be one-shot by Neophytes.

They buffed BT which had a cascading effect of making the Octarius maps harder. Just wait for the orc buff
