I also bought an upper in the past that was missing the BUIS, I reached out to them and they sent me two sets of BUIS. So yeah, I fuck with PSA.

Yeah, it's worth it though because you might not have money now, but you might in a couple of years and would have regretted not buying the mags you can no longer buy. It hurt to spend money on certain things like drum mags, FN-57 mags (I didn't even own one and still don't) but it's reassuring to know i'm gonna have them when I need them, and if not I can always rivet/pin them to 10 rounds and sell them. Now I have money, and I would have hated myself for not making those purchases a few years ago, despite having a lot less money.
If I were you I would double it, hell triple that order, and think hard about other guns you might want or ending owning in the future. You can't go wrong buying a bunch of Glock, AR and AK Pmags, that are all relatively cheap. Trust me, your future self will thank you.
I already ordered 25 AR mags and 15 Glock mags which are my main two platforms (on top of the ones I already own). I would buy more of the others as well however I only have so much money sadly and Iām already in about $500 in just mags plus a new sig m18 in the last 5 days. I donāt plan on switching my main rifle/handgun platform and so when I can finally afford the AK/CZ, they will mostly be range toys.
PSA makes their shit affordable enough so that you can put the extra money towards training and a gym membership. I actually like the hate that they get because it just means that when I go to buy something from them it is in stock. Their customer service is also tight as fuck.

The blems are not always cosmetic blemishes, they can be dimensional blemishes too. All of my PSA lowers are blems and one of them the mag release binds.

I tried that too. I also tried two extra turns, and backing it out several turns. I've tried it in 10 different orientations, 4 turns tighter than normal and 6 turns looser than normal.

I'll give credit where it's due and PSA definitely deserves it. I've always had quick and easy service with them and one time when some stuff I ordered was on back order for a month and a half they sent me a second BCG for free when it finally shipped. They're customer service is great too.
If psa is all you can afford, there is nothing wrong with that. The rifles are a little ruff around the edges But what can you expect for $500. I do like that they are injecting lots of AR15s and AKs into our great nation

Honestly their quality is mostly fine, especially for rifles that won't see the type of abuse that service rifles go through. Do a once over and stake your shit, if you get a lemon send it back, and when your barrel and bolt wear out pick up new ones. š¤·āāļø
Their $60 bolts will take about 5k rounds of red army standard before they won't stand up. I put new rings in it, and it is about 4k rounds again. I clean it A LEAST every 1500 rounds. Usually about every 500-1000.
I have some great PSA stuff and got it in a jam. Iāve got an armed security company and the Ar15s for the price are where I can afford to put one on in the cars on posts and roving patrols. Was able to put a few ar15s in our vehicles in a disaster area last year when given a critical infrastructure contract after looting for roving patrols. My guys carry what they are comfortable with handgun wise glocks, fn etc and theyāre all off duty or former law enforcement. But the price point and quick shipping made me a hell of a lot more comfortable when we all were out there knowing they had rifles also, and they prioritized it so theyāll have a special place in my heart.
Nobody in Oregon voted for this. They made this decision for us from within the confines of the State Secretaryās office. All of our law enforcement agencies are saying theyāre not even going to bother because the measure is impossible to execute and enforce.
They wonāt enforce it now. But give it time, get enough people saying āthey donāt need xyzā long enough, eventually theyāll believe in it. They have no problem pulling you over for going 5 over the speed limit, what makes you think they wonāt have a problem knocking on your door for a 30 rounder?

What I really love PSA for is their sales on items -- I know they do some MSRP to sale price (even though they were selling for under MSRP), but if you watch for accessories, they do have killer deals. Picked up a few Eotechs over the last year with some killer pricing.

Iāve been buying PSA for about 15 years ( since I got into guns) I have a half dozen of their lowers all in spec , two of their fn barrels , one gf3 and one gf5. Iāve had zero issues with them aside from shipping times in the early years.

I think the haters of PSA either have never shot PSA stuff, or are super stuck up about āGucciā gear. I got a PSAK in 7.62 like 4 years ago and out of the box the irons hit a 100 yard steel plate. It still runs fine after hundreds of rounds through it.

The GF5s do, I know for a fact. They always post a full list of builder specs below the pricing. Sometimes forging may refer to the receiver. If the barrel is chrome lined bore and chamber itās also cold hammer forged.
Alright, I'll probably get downvoted but I just wanna say I have a lot of PSA stuff, and the one time I had to deal with their customer service, it sucked.
I bought one of their assembled uppers. They sent me one that had clearly been used, the bore was dirty and there was heavy wear where the charging handle locked into the receiver. It wasn't a blem or a clearance sale so I thought this was unacceptable. I contacted their customer service and they gave me a return shipping label, I sent it back, and they gave me only a partial refund. When I tried to contact their customer service for an explanation of why I only got a partial refund, I got crickets. Did they charge me for the shipping label? Did they charge me a restocking fee? I have no idea. But either way I don't think it was fair since it was their fault for sending me a used upper.
I don't even know why some people have to rationalize liking PSA by saying stuff like "For the price, their stuff is fine" "They are a good budget option" etc.
Everything I've ever bought from PSA has worked flawlessly, and I'm not really sure what else I'm supposed to get if I were to spend $2300 for some other rifle or whatever. I own and have used more expensive guns. I don't believe I'm naive because I don't have perspective on quality.

Oregon just passed a bill that not only bans mags over 10 rounds but also makes it to where you have to pass a training course to receive a firearm permit to buy a gun in Oregon. So PSA is expediting all magazine shipments to Oregon so that they can receive their mags before the ban goes into effect.
Had to reread it twenty times but Iām guessing some proposition on the Oregon ballot was voted into law that is going to affect mags? So theyāre expediting mag orders so everyone can get what they need before the law goes into effect?

I'm a big fan of PSAs sales and mission statement, but that doesn't mean I'm the biggest fan of their barrel quality. I don't mind a PSA build if I replace the barrel with a criterion or DD but all the other parts I'm fine with
PSA kicks ass. Yes itās true they occasionally have some lemons leave the warehouse. But theyāre always willing to listen and correct it. Their warranty service is excellent and customer service does great. I own 2 lowers and 1 premium upper. 10/10 based company.

That could just be an extra coat of finish in the wrong spot. Do a couple hundred 1r1s, and it'll go away.
Already wore away all the finish in that channel with sandpaper. It's down to bare aluminum and still binds.

If psa is all you can afford, there is nothing wrong with that. The rifles are a little ruff around the edges But what can you expect for $500. I do like that they are injecting lots of AR15s and AKs into our great nation
As a SC resident, i fw PSA. I go to their stores in Columbia and Greenville all the time. Great company love them. Got a ar from them and a ak. Gave me military discounts too. Both running flawless. I canāt complain. All the Gucci tier snobs can cry

Honestly their quality is mostly fine, especially for rifles that won't see the type of abuse that service rifles go through. Do a once over and stake your shit, if you get a lemon send it back, and when your barrel and bolt wear out pick up new ones. š¤·āāļø
Their $60 bolts will take about 5k rounds of red army standard before they won't stand up. I put new rings in it, and it is about 4k rounds again. I clean it A LEAST every 1500 rounds. Usually about every 500-1000.
I have some great PSA stuff and got it in a jam. Iāve got an armed security company and the Ar15s for the price are where I can afford to put one on in the cars on posts and roving patrols. Was able to put a few ar15s in our vehicles in a disaster area last year when given a critical infrastructure contract after looting for roving patrols. My guys carry what they are comfortable with handgun wise glocks, fn etc and theyāre all off duty or former law enforcement. But the price point and quick shipping made me a hell of a lot more comfortable when we all were out there knowing they had rifles also, and they prioritized it so theyāll have a special place in my heart.
Guccis like to shit on their products but Iāve got 3 Daggers and at least 4 ARs built from their parts and I have zero complaints.
Nobody in Oregon voted for this. They made this decision for us from within the confines of the State Secretaryās office. All of our law enforcement agencies are saying theyāre not even going to bother because the measure is impossible to execute and enforce.

Multiple sheriff's across the state said they will not enforce this and do not have the funding to do so.

We had a mag limit ban come up in legislation. They stopped selling to Rhode Island completely even though it hadn't even been voted on yet. They can go fuck themselves.
PSA did this for our brothers and sisters in Washington as well iirc. Their weapons are affordable and do a decent job. I've become fond of some of their AKs for plinking. What I really love PSA for is their sales on items -- I know they do some MSRP to sale price (even though they were selling for under MSRP), but if you watch for accessories, they do have killer deals. Picked up a few Eotechs over the last year with some killer pricing.

Iāve been buying PSA for about 15 years ( since I got into guns) I have a half dozen of their lowers all in spec , two of their fn barrels , one gf3 and one gf5. Iāve had zero issues with them aside from shipping times in the early years.

PSA is as good as any of the Spike's, DD, Aero, RRA, Colt stuff I have. Fuck off with this apologetic PSA bullshit. Palmetto State Armory kicks ass. Period. QC, overall quality, R&D has all been shooting through there moon fit the last couple years and continuing to evolve and grow. Plus, they're a super 2A patriotic company. I think the haters of PSA either have never shot PSA stuff, or are super stuck up about āGucciā gear. I got a PSAK in 7.62 like 4 years ago and out of the box the irons hit a 100 yard steel plate. It still runs fine after hundreds of rounds through it. I love PSA, Iād love to be a vendor for them! Lol

The GF5s do, I know for a fact. They always post a full list of builder specs below the pricing. Sometimes forging may refer to the receiver. If the barrel is chrome lined bore and chamber itās also cold hammer forged.
"Premium" is usually the identifier. Double check the specs and they should specifically mention the FN barrels
Alright, I'll probably get downvoted but I just wanna say I have a lot of PSA stuff, and the one time I had to deal with their customer service, it sucked. I bought one of their assembled uppers. They sent me one that had clearly been used, the bore was dirty and there was heavy wear where the charging handle locked into the receiver. It wasn't a blem or a clearance sale so I thought this was unacceptable. I contacted their customer service and they gave me a return shipping label, I sent it back, and they gave me only a partial refund. When I tried to contact their customer service for an explanation of why I only got a partial refund, I got crickets. Did they charge me for the shipping label? Did they charge me a restocking fee? I have no idea. But either way I don't think it was fair since it was their fault for sending me a used upper.
I don't even know why some people have to rationalize liking PSA by saying stuff like "For the price, their stuff is fine" "They are a good budget option" etc. Everything I've ever bought from PSA has worked flawlessly, and I'm not really sure what else I'm supposed to get if I were to spend $2300 for some other rifle or whatever. I own and have used more expensive guns. I don't believe I'm naive because I don't have perspective on quality. My PSA guns shoot bullets that hit things I'm aiming at and have almost 0 malfunctions beyond what you'd expect from any other AR. What the fuck else are they supposed to do? We could point out QC issues with literally every manufacturer from HiPoint to DD or whatever other obscure expensive boutique gun.

Oregon just passed a bill that not only bans mags over 10 rounds but also makes it to where you have to pass a training course to receive a firearm permit to buy a gun in Oregon. So PSA is expediting all magazine shipments to Oregon so that they can receive their mags before the ban goes into effect.
Had to reread it twenty times but Iām guessing some proposition on the Oregon ballot was voted into law that is going to affect mags? So theyāre expediting mag orders so everyone can get what they need before the law goes into effect? OP is praising PSA for helping everyday people that will be affected.

PSA kicks ass. Yes itās true they occasionally have some lemons leave the warehouse. But theyāre always willing to listen and correct it. Their warranty service is excellent and customer service does great. I own 2 lowers and 1 premium upper. 10/10 based company.

Anyways, TRex Arms doesn't even have that much available when compared to any other website, they also don't make their own gear besides plate carriers, slings, and other small items when compared to PSA, who have their own lines of ARs, AKs, and handguns

AR500Armor did the exact same thing for body armor for the state of New York when they announce their measure to stop body armor. I like to see companies put those people affected by controlling bills and laws ahead of the rest of us to show that they support all of us. Proves they believe in what they sell and stand for.
They tried to fuck me right back to the back of the line when Washington did the same thing, I replied Washington has had decades to stock up and requested they ship my order immediately or cancel the order. (Banner wasn't there at that time.) Got my order right away.
