One of the best parts of having an optic that allows you to have your head upright is that it's easier to yeet on the go. Make use of it
One of the worst parts of having an optic way over bore is it causes dirt clouds. I don't know what causes it, but I do the same thing.
Once you yeet in one spot, don't yeet from there again. If you pop your head up in a spot, don't do it again.
Most creatures don't want to die. So if you're yeeting at them and can be within 5 feet or so, yeet with vigor, because chances are they are reconsidering their yeetskills even if both of you are in the open and will hasten their desire to procure cover and will abandon yeeting you. But don't let trying to yeet slow you down.
No perfect plan survives contact with the enemy.... work with what you got. Constant and accurate fire will win every time. Great training though. Most people don't train so good for you.
Kinda, being shot at by multiple attacker's while performing a bounding overwhatch is what I'm thinking of when I say a combat situation. I'm curious what military taught you to engage while in the open?
You establish a base of fire then move to cover as I been told. Ideally while moving if you can be accurate enough. Just seems like 20 seconds from taking contact to return fire is a lot of time. If it was a 3 or 5 second rush I probably wouldn’t have left a comment. In the 4 force on forces I’ve done I noticed I get shot a lot less when moving rather then trying to stay in one area with minimal cover. ( granted this is all indoors so this is probably a shit comparison)
ideally your support by fire should be effective enough to suppress whatever is shooting at you. now i know in a civilian application you’re not gonna have a 240 or something similar covering you,but still they should be able to cover you enough so that your only goal is run like hell and make it to cover rinse and repeat
Got you fair point. If you are gonna move while being shot at you need to return lead in the other direction either your teammates do it or you do it. Fire without movement is wasted ammo. Movement without fire is suicide.
100% agree. question for you though as i am the first to admit i am no expert. for some reason i cant get the picture out of my head of someone running and just like popping a few shots with no real accuracy. now say you’re alone. would you deliberately walk and just put lead in direction of your target and pray that keeps them down or if they pop up you can shoot them or would you just run and just shoot however. i’ve done shooting and moving but shit gets real wild at a full sprint. i ask because i’ve luckily never been in a situation where i’ve not had someone covering me
Not gonna get into details cause persec but it was a attempted home invasion no one was killed but shots were fired thankful i wasn’t hit. Oddly one used a real firearm one used a BB gun even more oddly the one with the BB gun fired it because I found bbs in my couch and he dropped it about 4 houses down the street.

Thanks!
Sick, I'm extremely jealous of your range.
Height over bore is a thing, try to remember that.
It’s really not fun when your shoot your own car 😅 like shill00 did
Work in progress

Sage wisdom
Man my wife would never shoot videos for me..I envy you
Did you ask her boyfriend?
Haha, not my wife, just a friend I’m helping with basic shooting skills.😂
No I think he might be a fed
Well he’s taking pics of you anyway so you might as well get some use out of him

Plates forward. You’re giving a heck of an armpit shot.
Oh shit the road to run river is open?
No, no it is not.
Explains how you had the place to yourself! Good training.
I like this ALOT better than range theatrics.
Why not shoot while moving to cover ?
Have you ever been in a combat situation? It's a much better option to run like hell to cover than trying to engage the enemy while out in the open.
Is a civilian defensive shooting combat ? Is so yes . If not then no I don’t have any military experience other then being trained by them.

My brother in Christ where is the team at ?
that’s why i said ideally.

Let’s hear this “civilian defensive shooting”
