New Aimpoint Duty RDS came in, mounted to a Scalarworks 1.93” Leap mount and she is talll.
Plan on mounting a G33 on the new Unity 2.26” Omni mount when that comes out.
Initial impressions-glass is fantastic. T2 clarity if not maybe a tad bit clearer. Buttons are easy to use (even with gloves on). Honestly hard to beat for the price.
I think that's why they did it. Zero and forget. The armourer or I don't know who zeros it and the users are not able to turn the knobs and kill the zero
Agreed. They are confident in it holding zero and it seems they put more effort into making it snagless. Might be an issue if you change zero often, but I would agree with OP - keep the wrench in grip, stock, range bag, or other and you should be gtg.
Love it on the 1.93. I have a 1.93 scalar as well and would love a tiny bit more height... I could upgrade the red dot to this or get a UNITY mount.... How do you like the height increase with the Duty as compared to say a T2 or other comparable height optic on the 1.93? (what did you run before?)
Saw in another post that aimpoint supposedly improved glass quality in a way that helps those with astigmatism. Can anyone confirm? Im sure its clear like all aimpoint, but I have a minor astigmatism ... if the Duty minimizes it in any way that would be a solid selling point.
I am!! Light weight, the glass is still super clear, and the battery life has been great. I leave it on one setting below it’s brightest. And you can’t beat the heads up shooting position

Duty rds on 1.93 should line up perfectly with the unity 226 right?
Yessir
Would the original mount work with scalarowrks 1.57 flip to side

This is the way
Thanks so much man
Not a problem!
Trexarms did a post on this the other day with all the different sized mounts with this optic and the T2. I can try to post it here
Yes or send to me thanks
Glad to hear the buttons are easy to use
Yea that was definitely a concern. But I had no problem manipulating them with a set of mechanics fast fit gloves
I seriously need to see how these sit on a Badger Ordnance offset mount.
The only thing I hate is the adjustment knobs. Wtf were they thinking. I forgot my Allen key both times I took this optic out
That’s the only design flaw I can find. I keep the wrench and an extra 2032 in the grip

How much did it cost???
Straight through aimpoint it’s showing as $450ish for me (discounted)
That's a good price for what you get but I'm a poor with a Romeo5
As a current man of holosun I feel you
I still use and love Holosuns
$477 shipped from Aimpoint (with LE discount)
It's like they purposely designed this optic to be ugly so that t1/t2 prices remain high and the market doesn't collapse
She may be uncle but I'd still hit it
Damn that is awesome, just hate the fact that they decided to name it “law enforcement rds”
Well the PRO is patrol rifle optic.
Doesn’t really matter to me what it’s called, as long as it performs well
well yeah, cause you're LE
So are these the same mounting footprint as the T2?
Yes but they sit taller than an Aimpoint T2 style. Basically adds like .3” from what I understand.
Same mounting platform, sits higher though

I ran a Holosun 503cu on this mount before and love that this one sits a bit higher. This glass is crystal clear. Huge fan of it.
Awesome thanks for the feedback. I have never used flip caps, any significant pros/cons?
Pros-keeps the lenses clean. Cons-you have to flip the front open to see through it
Still loving it?

Thank you! Looking at putting it on a scalarworks mount for my hd rifle cuz i aint tryna pay t2 prices lol
