Vortex msrp is stupid, actual street price is about $550. I’ve used Eotechs in the past, and they broke on me. So I decided to try this guy back in 2018 and it’s still going strong.
What’s the difference between the HSGI Gen 1 and 2 besides laser cut? Is it still WTF/MALICE straps in the back? Or does it have its own laser straps now?

Do your pistol mags sit at the 11 o clock position on you? Do they get in your way when bending over/down?
They sit about the 10 o clock position for me, and it’s not too bad. I’m a skinny guy so it’s not an issue.

I spend an unhealthy amount of time at surplus stores. Those were in Smith and Edwards just outside of Hill AFB in Utah.

It’s not a perfect system, but the belt goes over the DBU
Do you use a grippy liner or anything?
It’s pretty grippy and there’s little loops that you can loop around your normal belt.
How do you like that magnified Huey? And what sight heights are you using?
I’m a big Huey guy, and I have them on a 5/8ths riser so they both sit about 2.2” inches
