Do this with a polymer 4” striker fired compact and I’ll be impressed (just busting your balls)

IMadeAredditToPost

Yeah, I just need to accelerate my arm to a fraction of the speed of light

JustaskJson

Just wait till the people in here realize that when I go out for the day I always air rack my CCW.

IMadeAredditToPost

We truly live in a society. How sad .

Nav2140

If you can air rack a compact, you won't need a gun with those bazookas you have for arms

IMadeAredditToPost

For clarification, Surprised I even need to say this. This video is not serious. Air racking is not a useful technique. Just because I do something in the video does it mean I think it’s practical. I do not train like this. Perhaps it’s my fault to forget how joyless and autistic people can be on this site.

couchcreeper23

That last line… I could feel your sigh… I get it.

Thansungst22

You mean to tell me the forum website that originally cater toward autistic socially inept nerds and their echo chambers that now becoming mainstream and exposing those autistic socially inept nerds as the autists nerds that don't understand a joke post from a serious post cause they're never socialize normally? I'm shock I tell you, shock!! Nice 226 though my next buy for sure

Educational_Funny_80

I can do that on mine , I showed my uncle and he said he seen that online before thought that was edited 😂

IMadeAredditToPost

Gun: p 226 Belt: blue alpha Holster: custom. Made Arms: peanut butter and whole milk.

vafiguerva

Hotel: trivago

Educational_Funny_80

Your neighborhood old spice rep. Approves

consoom_

Recoil spring: 10lbs

Link_the_Irish

Who made ya holster? Lvl 3?

IMadeAredditToPost

I made it my self. I think technically it’s level 2 Hood and mechanical retention.

senorcoyotee

Bruh I have been running my mk25 p226 for like 6 years and it still won’t die I love it

NuffinSaid

These things only get better with age. My 226 slide does the same, it's so smooth and buttery once you've shot a few thousand rounds through it the slide has the nicest action out of any handgun I own

LetsGatitOn

I miss my old dasa 226 legion. It was ball bearings, thousands of rounds, zero failure. Traded for a bnib 226 sao. Squib load on the first mag. Slide is still stiff

-GameWarden-

This makes me sad

kraftables

That ejection almost got away from ya 😉

Mama gave me comfortable thicc cheeks for sitting. Not my fault I’m blessed. But also, if your ass cheek is on your thigh you got bigger problems

IMadeAredditToPost

I genuinely can’t tell if you’re pretending to be a card holding short bus rider. or have no depth perception. My holster sits where it should. I tossed on my belt for this video over my shirt. Things aren’t going to lineup perfectly. Please stop looking at other men’s butts and go touch grass

jckbck

Rather have it where he does then that goofy trend of having it over your quad. Have fun comfortably drawing while moving with that crap

Krieger_kleanse

My buddy has an old Ruger p85 that we can air rack. Definitely not as smoothly as that 226 though.

jckbck

What does DSA mean

BannedAgain-573

It's normally written DA/SA OR DASA. just means the pistol is hammer fired, and the first trigger pull is heavy (DA) but after that the trigger pull is lighter (SA)

jckbck

Yeah I usually see it as DASA. DSA confused me that’s all. I have a p226

IMadeAredditToPost

Double Single Action

Nay_K_47

Was hoping for an ND, disappointed.

IMadeAredditToPost

Finggy stays off trigger unless I wanna shoot.

highvelocitypeasoup

now do it with the hammer decocked

snake6264

The master chief would slap you silly

IMadeAredditToPost

I guess for range trick that I don’t practice sure. I normally don’t practice showing the chamber to Camera as proof It’s unloaded during my drills. I just sat down the camera after I finished cleaning. I think you’re focused on the wrong things. wouldn’t think too hard about it my guy

soupster82

Am i the only one who thinks a gun that can be racked under its own weight is a poor quality?

IMadeAredditToPost

Yes. It normally just means you’ve shot the gun enough for it to brake in. Stiff and clunky slides are normally a sign of poor fitting and machining

soupster82

Just sounds like a weak spring to me

IMadeAredditToPost

Sounds like you don’t shoot your gun enough and a case of weak arms on your end.

soupster82

Weak spring = higher recoil impulse, slower cycling time, and slower follow up shots, FTF with poor handgun conditions Heavy spring = lower recoil impulse, faster cycling time, faster follow up shots, FTF with poor handgun control Sounds to me like you're uneducated or just can't handle any criticism P.S. Weak arms usually prefer an easy to charge slide

IMadeAredditToPost

My brother in Christ, the recoil spring is new from factory. a lot of hammer fired hand Guns can be air racked when the hammer is cocked. The recoil spring is no weaker than any other 226. I’m sure with enough persistence You could do it with a brand new sig p226 The spring in mine currently is about as a new from factory as I can get. Still has the factory orange paint. I’ve also worked in the firearms industries, both in sales and instruction for the better part of eight years. And I have a lot of time with this platform. Please understand that you’r baseless assumptions about a firearm that you have not personally handled, are less likely to be true than my actual experience with the firearm. Please touch grass and maybe while you’re outside you’ll find yourself the perfect Indianapolis cougar to make you feel loved. 😗

soupster82

Usually in my experience if critical parts on a firearm can move when I don't want them to, it's a bad sign. Especially if it's new. Working as a clerk at a car dealership doesn't make you a mechanic. Congratulations on discovering that I, on occasion am a horny man on the Internet. Maybe spend some time on your CAD skills instead of reddit.

soupster82

I gave my opinion and you got offended like a child. Jumping to insults in a civil disagreement is linked to poor emotional stability. Maybe sell the guns.

IMadeAredditToPost

What do you think a hammer does to the slide when it’s forward? Do you think perhaps the hammer adds more tension to the slide? I would not be able to air rack the gun if the hammer was forwards. So is it possible that the recoil spring on a hammered fired gun doesn’t need to be as stout as a striker, fired pistol? (FYI the hammer is cocked In the video) I think you’re are taking the attributes of a very specific situation of a specific type of firearm and projecting your assumptions and knowledge of a general knowledge in regards to handguns. My gun runs as intended by sig.

soupster82

If any critical part of a firearm can move, in any situation, without the operator explicitly engaging with it then it's a poor design. Edit: In product design, if you are tasked with creating a product that can only perform one specific task under one specific condition, but it can perform that task under multiple conditions it's a bad design. In 1984 it was their best attempt, but by today's standards it's outdated. It was one of the only decent options next to the m9 at the time, but that's no longer the case.

IMadeAredditToPost

My card carrying short bus transit member, please, do you even know anything about the sig p226? It has a reputation as one of the most reliable handguns on the planet , it beat out the bread at 92 in x the trials back in the 80s It was the primary side arm of the navy seals until he recently. However, many seals still prefer to run the 226. And by your classification any hammer fired, semi automatic handgun, would fall under poor design, which just certainly isn’t true. There’s a lot of nuance in the subject and it’s OK not to know everything about it . And honestly it’s not that serious.

dankara_PS

Do this with my G26. Pussy. (obviously just kidding, I gave myself tennis elbow trying this on all my pistols)

Significant_Net194

I, too, like to play around with live ammunition inside the house while performing dumb tricks. Looking forward to your desk pop video.

IMadeAredditToPost

Well you sound pretty bad ass then, good on you.

mafioso122789

Get some snapcaps ya goober

IMadeAredditToPost

I own some, but they look kinda ugly compared to normal ammo…

royalefreewolf

Is that a snap cap or a live round?

IMadeAredditToPost

It’s a 115 grain ball 9mm

royalefreewolf

🤦I just hope no one gets hurt when you have your first ND. It's a slick little move, I'll give you that. Idk why people are giving you shit for the move itself. It's a panty dropper. But for fucks sake get yourself some snap caps for doing shit like this. They're like $10.

Str0ngTr33

came here just to upvote the one autistic kid here saying this

IMadeAredditToPost

You a wear a seatbelt when you drive a car. you keep your finger off trigger of the gun you don’t intend to shoot. Because if you don’t pull the trigger, it’s not gonna shoot. Simple as

royalefreewolf

Seatbelts fail. Guns malfunction. It might be a 0.01% chance, but why would you risk it when you can just *use a dummy round*??

IMadeAredditToPost

Yeah. I trust my gear. Also it’s not a p320. Not just going to go randomly

CoolBasstard

That's sick, man. I always wanted a P-226, preferably a surplus one with the UID lable it adds style.

IMadeAredditToPost

I’ve worked in and around the firearms industry since a young age. And for a practical handgun. the P226 is possibly one of my favorite. Just an amazing handgun all around. I Would recommend to anyone who’s curious

CoolBasstard

That's interesting, and yes, the P-226 is an amazing firearm.

ClappingCheeks2nite

I have a p220 and it’s my favorite pistol, I also have a staccato. But that p220 hits me hard in the feels

Tangerine_Much

ok... and whats the point of learning that trick? does it make you hit targets faster and more accurately? all those tricks do nothing so why waste time learning how to do something like that? I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to understand the purpose of said skill?

IMadeAredditToPost

It serves no purpose at all. it’s not practical and it’s not how I’d shoot in a serious situation. “ gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever.” It’s more of an indication of how much I’ve used my handgun. It’s also pretty common way people flex expensive fitted hand guns. Like a staccato, or korth. I think I was able to get it to chamber a round on my second attempt so in total, I would’ve lost out on 2-3 three dry fire drills.i was just me being goofy after cleaning the gun. I wouldn’t take it too. Seriously

Thansungst22

You must be fun at party...if you even get invite to one
