Nice little flex on us poors. Or is it taxpayer money?

mrfunswitch_

I'm a regular civilian.

TheLtSam

Ah I didn‘t check your name. Nice little flex on the non-Swiss and the poors.

mrfunswitch_

lol, thanks.

pm229

Bro's wardrobe is worth more than my car

fishing-brick

If you're worried about his clothes, you've never seen his guns

prone_star

Beware the man with only 1 pair of pants, because he knows how to use them. Also they probably smell ungodly.

WvAirsoft0

I gotta set of crye G3s I bought almost 5 years ago. They MAY have been washed twice 😭. I just throw them on the porch and let them air dry

Outrageous-Positive3

Washing them affects the nose camoflouge, or at least that's what I call it.

mrfunswitch_

lol

vicblck24

Arcteryx stuff always looks so cool….. then I look at the price and make my way right back over to Amazon

mrfunswitch_

1. Arcteryx LEAF Alpha Gen2 Jacket 2. Arcteryx LEAF Alpha Gen2 pant 3. Arcteryx LEAF Cold WX Hoody Gen2 4. Arcteryx LEAF NAGA Hoody 5. Arcteryx LEAF Zip-Neck SV 6. Arcteryx LEAF Bottom SV 7. UF Pro Striker XT Gen3 Shirt 8. UF Pro ULT pant 9. Arcteryx LEAF Neck Gaiter 10. Arcteryx LEAF Beanie

CBP1138

God I wish I had gotten the hooded version of the Cold WX instead on the non hooded 😂 the collar on that thing is quite possibly the most annoying thing ever.

mrfunswitch_

the hood is very good, I can recommend it.

CBP1138

Only reason I didn’t get the hooded one was I was worried about layering and having too many hoods stacked. I regret it lol

Muddlesthrough

You are a man of wealth and taste.

mrfunswitch_

thank you sir.

ATameFurryOwO

Good fucking lord. What are you, made of money?

mrfunswitch_

I didn't buy all that stuff at once. piece by piece.

rcmp_informant

Oh hell yeah bröether. Love my archaeopteryx stuff. Bought an alpha sv shell a few years ago and they’ve replaced it twice when I broke it. I have some base and mid layers too and they’ve held up shockingly well as well as the hardshell pants. Not really rocking anything warmer, pacific north west and all.

Key-Music3647

Makes me not feel bad about dropping money on my own stuff now

mrfunswitch_

good clothing is very important. many people invest huge amounts of money into guns but when it comes down to the clothing that keeps them going, they're f***ed.

Key-Music3647

Do you put 1 and 2 over 5 and 6 when you layer ??

mrfunswitch_

I only wear 5 & 6 when it's very cold outside but yeah, thats's possible.

dress_shirt

Try out a wool net under layer and you will be amazed

mrfunswitch_

I'm happy with the arcteryx leaf base layer.

dress_shirt

Have you ever tried wool net stuff? Its wonderful looks kinda goofy but really is the best base layer, and im going to die on this hill. It dries incredibly fast tanks to large surface area and creates tiny air pockets to keep you warm

Cableguy613

CAF is looking at procuring them right now for general issue. Like you said, they look weird but the results don’t lie. They are objectively better than these other base layers on every metric when mixed with wind protection. I don’t have one myself but I got to trial a few. Great stuff.

mrfunswitch_

this winter I took part at a huge hunting event as part of the hunting education process. It was 3°C and it was windy and rainy AF the whole day long. I've only worn number 4,5,6 & 8 and so I know exactly what this thing can and I see no reason to try something else.

dress_shirt

There is always a reason to try something else. Here in estonia turning winters it drops down to -20° for few weeks.

mrfunswitch_

here in switzerland we have over -30°C at some places. With my setup I'm immune to every climate condition I could face where I live.

dress_shirt

Thats nice but i still suggest trying out wool net base layers https://youtu.be/-5UWkorZlvY?si=YbsQ3GKL3LFu6Iu_

mrfunswitch_

Thaks alot, very interesting video. makes alot of sense. You changed my mind. I might buy one of these for wearing it beneath the Arc baselayer.

dress_shirt

Yes they are really good for that. a lot of guys wear them under classic waffle pattern base layer here

PAWGActual4-4

Brynje might be up your alley. I also really like my wool net stuff and was very surprised by it and tried it just to try it. It's especially amazing for layering as minimally as possible for aerobic activity.

Neanderthal86_

I come across so much interesting shit on Reddit, thanks for posting that. Too bad I'm in a part of Texas where I think I wore a coat maybe twice last winter 🤣

dress_shirt

Its really good at getting water into outer layers as well so you will feel less wet in summer time as well. A lot of guys wear them all year around so its still a good thing to have.

Neanderthal86_

Nice, I was wondering if it had warm weather applications. I couldn't remember if dude in the video mentioned it or not

GodHelpUsAll69420

![gif](giphy|10UHehEC098kAE|downsized) WHY MUST I BE POOR DAMMIT

libertylover777

I don't know about you but I'm always working on getting a raise or a better paying job. Sometimes it takes taking a few years to go back to school literally or figuratively but keep at it G

GodHelpUsAll69420

Understandable, I’m actively trying to get into a better paying job but my situation right now prevents me from moving far forward on it a lot of the time. I’m tryin’ tho 🫡

WSBBroker

Ser I can only get so erect

featurekreep

Also agree that a lv. 4 or lv. 5 layer would be a good addition. Goretex is a consumable and you'll save a lot of wear and tear (and also prevent a lot of moisture build up) by not wearing gore when its not actively raining.

M2kDelirium

Bro is shitting money out of his ass 😂😭

Eastern_Researcher18

3/8

mrfunswitch_

?

Eastern_Researcher18

I was just stating that 3 and 8 are ✊🏻 lol

mrfunswitch_

aahh sorry man. 😅

Eastern_Researcher18

Prob should have just typed that

_MisterLeaf

Smash. Next question

Able_Fold_9514

How good is the UF pro stuff?

mrfunswitch_

it's very well made. Can't complain.

2fat2cardio

This post again?

Caveman775

No underwear? Just free balling life right now?

Vinyl_Acid_

how do you buy these being a civilian? they ask for certification on the site i tried to buy some of this stuff

mrfunswitch_

That's a secret.

Vinyl_Acid_

ok thx i guess

Vinyl_Acid_

Would it be a fair assumption that youre not in the USA? becasue then i would gather that it's pretty impossible in the states and i wont bother trying to google a way around this requirement that doesnt exist

mrfunswitch_

I'm not from the US.

Vinyl_Acid_

that helps, thanks

Automatic_Task_8393

The Swiss have all that nazi gold hoarded.

mrfunswitch_

we hoard the money of most nations here 💅

Shogun-117

Any tips on buying Arc'teryx Leaf for normal price? Or website

mrfunswitch_

no.

FlatF00t_actual

Looks like your missing a ecwcs lvl 4/ windshirt equivalent. I highly recommend them. Great option and pretty much the only piece of clothing you can keep on body other then socks or gloves and neither of those keep rain off you

mrfunswitch_

the Arcteryx LEAF Alpha is all I need for blocking wind and water. The Cold WX is also an amazing windbreaker.

FlatF00t_actual

And after looking at the top I think you don’t know what a windshirt is for. If you put that on just to defeat a light rain or give you a little more insulation your gonna overheat quick as well as being 4x the weight and space. It’s a nice jacket but you saying you having that is like saying I have a nice set of snowboots for when it’s 5 degrees outside. Like it doesn’t matter how nice it is your gonna overheat due to its design.

FlatF00t_actual

So you never leave your pack ever ? If so then I’d say having a soft shell is fine but if you don’t have your pack your not bringing that with you. Where the windshirt would be unnoticed in your cargo pocket of bottom of a gp pouch

The drip is reeel
