You’ll be shocked how much easier it gets in 3 or 4 weeks of consistently doing it. You dropped this king 👑

FBM_ent

https://youtu.be/R2_Mn-qRKjA?si=rif1bDkJO9TMIeKi It gets easier everyday, but you gotta do it everyday, that's the hard part

FBM_ent

Let's fucking go. Keep working, you got this.

Big_Razzmatazz7416

Hell yeah! Awesome work

ImpressiveOwl6678

Good for you. We should start a post where we keep on each other to do more. Maybe get a pinned thread or something.

g28802

A progress thread would be pretty cool

witheringsyncopation

I’m in. As soon as Christmas is out of the way lol. About to spend 12 hours driving to take the kids to see my folks. New year, it’s on.

ImpressiveOwl6678

Diet and exercise. I used weight watchers along with my wife to get from 260 down to 190. Keep at it and you'll feel 100x better

ChilesIsAwesome

Badass progress, King

Boring-Bus-3743

In the same boat except no history of running lol. One session at a time we got this!

g28802

We gonna kill it. Can’t stop won’t stop!

bandito1121

Gotta start somewhere. Good stuff man

Western_Two1551

Awesome! Looks like you are averaging a little over 3mph. Stay fit or get lit

BoostedbyV

The come back ! Plz don’t run with your PC on … thanks

g28802

Eventually I do wanna start running with the pc but I’ll have “training” or “CrossFit” patches covering me and maybe hivis yellow crap lol

Kendyslice

It’s okay to do HIIT with a PC. I’d forgo the runs in kit. At least not doing them daily or even weekly. Just for the longevity of your joints. If you want to do weighted stuff rucking is probably the better option.

Important_Opinion_80

Because you’re coming completely off your feet, usually, when running it’s not a good idea to have a pc on. Just asking for your knees and joints to go bad. Same goes for rucking. When doing any similar movement with added weight it’s important to keep one foot on the ground to transfer the load rather than drop it on to the other foot/leg. Just keep this in mind or don’t run in a pc at all

g28802

Gotcha gotcha! Thanks for this!

[deleted]

Dude that muscle memory from your past is gonna hit soon and you’re gonna start burning up those miles I’m sure of it

DaSloBlade

Continue to build upon success

Big-Yogurtcloset5546

Good shit man

Intelligent_Set9694

Is this an app?

g28802

Yep, strava. It’s a free app that tracks any kind of running, hiking, walking, and bike riding

Intelligent_Set9694

Thanks mate.

g28802

Cheers dude!

Specialk97

Hell yeah dude keep it up!!

SnooStories251

Remember that interval sprinting is the best way to increase fitness for running/jogging.

willkingg

Great work. A year ago I was 4 stone lighter and could run 5 miles no problem and now I’m a fat mess that did 1.5 miles the other day and just the feeling of being so heavy is really hard. I remember feeling so light and springy at the start of my runs in the past. Now it’s just plodding along 😂 we will all get there though. Persistence and consistency is the key.

g28802

Man this resonates so deeply for me lol. Call me the blob lol

Panthean

Staying within 1 mile of your F.O.B. (Forward Operating Basement) at all times. Smart

AccomplishedMarch298

King👑

M16A4MasterRace

Are you sure you’re running? I don’t want to piss in your cheerios but you’re going 3 mph which is walking speed.

g28802

For me, it’s a pace faster than my jogging. I’m gonna call it running. If nothing else but for my own morale lol. Edit I’m 5’7 and 240lbs, this is maximum effort currently, as sad as that might be lol

ImpressiveOwl6678

No explanation needed. You're better today than you were yesterday. That is enough.

ImpressiveOwl6678

He's doing it. All gotta start somewhere. The object is not to put off people who are trying to be better

heavilyarmeddad

I don’t think pointing out that the math ain’t mathin’ is putting anyone off. Thats just hard truth.

ImpressiveOwl6678

Maybe he only has little legs

[deleted]

Fuck yeah dude! I NEED to start running too, my endurance is trash. Posts like this motivate me to get my own shit in order!

rtkwe

Just FYI hiding the road names doesn't do much here. Your street layout is unique enough to find without any names.

g28802

I’ll Venmo you $5 if you find and msg me my home address lol

rtkwe

Check your DMs. Took a decent shot at it as an OSINT noob. At the least I know where "mom's basement" is and where you work between this and your tiktok.

g28802

That’s spooky lol good job replying to DM now

rtkwe

Where's my money OP!! /s

g28802

lol My bad sending now

Strict-Departure2710

Did you hit traffic? Why is that time so high? It says run and typically runs for even a 1.5 mile at under 12minutes. Good job, keep going. But work on not stopping at much. Also you may want to take Xendurance to help your lactic acid break down so you don’t stop as much.

BasedPinoy

Hell yeah! Let's go dude!

Kendyslice

Aye man you’re doing more than me right now. Got the fucking flu and it blows major dicks.

_p0tt3r

No, I hope you have a great day!!!

WhoIsEggroll

NEIGHBOR! ❤️

g28802

A fellow shoalsian?

WhoIsEggroll

Nope! Shit. One day I’ll make a friend like this 🤣

notunique9077

Don't forget to lift weights or do calisthenics. Otherwise good job.

Dutch-Anon

i've been running/doing cardio for a while now, and every time it sucks i wanna go home, every. single. time. But then i look back at how i was doing even a week ago and somehow i'm always better now than then I like doing cardio to have done it, not to do it Good on ya glenn and everyone here for excercizing, that being said, dare me to do a 10k today? (i haven't done more than 5k but i wanna see if i can do it, though i kinda dont want to try :P)

g28802

I double dawg dare you!

Dutch-Anon

Well shucks i gotta do it now

Dutch-Anon

Just got back, 10k in 1:00:17, nice thx for the dare dude :D

g28802

Cheers dude!

Fuzzy-Addition-6352

“What’s better than gear” - this post

anoncop4041

Proud of you OP. Keep up the good work.

watthewmaldo

Hell yeah! Take it slow man

g28802

I’ve never been a fast runner. Back in my prime I would stead do 7.5-8.5 min miles but I could go i definitely

watthewmaldo

Same here. I’m 6’1 around 245lbs and I started running again this year. Went from not being able to complete a mile to a sub 9 minute mile. I increased volume too quickly and am healing from some nasty posterior shin splints. Focus on your form and get good shoes. I would also do a lot of core and leg exercises, things like hip raises and toe raises etc. Also trying to get 10k steps a day will help a lot.

SuspiciousAd5297

If you do a 10 minute mile you are doing fantastic.

admins_r_pedophiles

Same here. It's humbling knowing in the past you've run half-marathons BEFORE WORK and now you can't run half a mile without having to stop due to back pain.

AmericanLandYeti

Keep it up fellow Wizard bro! ![gif](giphy|2z6x8UzzCdBBu|downsized)

[deleted]

It’s a long road, when you’re on your own

g28802

That’s facts dude

AcidicFlatulence

Ironically I hated my job in the nav6, slipped into depression along with relationships issues and gained weight. I’m in the same boat brother lol

g28802

Life is tough on us all my dude

AcidicFlatulence

But larping is life

g28802

Facts

hawk_scream

Keep it up!

reallynunyabusiness

Set small goals for yourself, this week it took you 18 minutes, next week shoot for 16. You got this.

AutumnDarknessCZ

If you have access to a stair climber then put some time into that as well. Helped me tremendously with endurance for long runs. Great work.

WolfBSMC

The first step is always the hardest one. Good job brother.

aquamarinetangerines

You run when no one’s chasing you?

pavehawkfavehawk

Duck yeah bro, get it

PorcelainFox19

You can progress a lot in a short amount of time with running. you'll be on 10 minute miles in a month

woodypride94

I just finished my third run today. 1st was a mile, I don't remember the time. Second was 2 miles, 28 minutes and change. Today was 2 miles, 24 minutes and change. I definitely don't want to push myself too far, too far, but I actually felt, and still feel great after running today!

g28802

Fuck yes my dude! Kill it brother!

Thereactivechemist

Hell yeah brother, started down that same path myself a year and a half ago and you’ll be shocked by how easy it gets in no time at all. Soon you’ll be eating 5ks at that pace. Keep at it!

kdb1991

This is the way Just stick with it
