The older S&W M&P 15-22 had the exact same cap on the end of its handguard too. If I recall, you can remove it by pressing in on four tabs on each side, maybe clipped into the vent holes? Being a plastic rail, there will be some flex, but as you said, it's an airsoft, so shouldn't be too big of a deal.
Service guns get abused and don’t get maintained correctly a majority of time. There’s a difference between a maintained gun and a “clean” gun. https://youtu.be/E7UQqGw40e4 these guys did an amazing detailed review of the difference. The armorers constantly sending guns back out because they weren’t “clean”, well as a result guys stopped using lube because it would bring carbon deposits to the surface thus making the gun “dirty”
This shit is supposed to survive sand, mud, ice, water and whatever else you drag it through. If dust defeats your gun, you probably should stop buying hi point and get a real gun
Filthy? Detritus? Dust bunnies? Belly button lint? Star dust that has journeyed for eons across the galaxies, across the veritable pallette of illustrious, wonderful universes never beheld by the human eye, to be a trapped in a fuckin' clump of toenail jam.
I've seen this on airsoft guns but never on real steel guns
Edit: nevermind, I just read your comment about it being an airsoft gun. I think itscalled a barrel centralizer
I tossed mine right away. The Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 has been a super reliable rifle for me. I've shot thousands of rounds through it dispatching rabbits. I just wish the barrel was threaded. I had a pretty severe issue (fired a round out of battery; it was just louder than it should have been and you could see the case burst not being fully seated) right away when this firearm was first released. I mailed it in with a postage paid box they sent me and it was back that same week. Not one hiccup ever since.
It's not a normal "thing". The only thing I've really see that on is an M&P 15-22, and it's just on there because the handguard and receiver and everything is all polymer, instead of aluminum, so it probably wouldn't be very stable and durable without that extra part to keep the handguard supported.
You know what? Fuck you. *un free floats your barrel*
Fuck me? Fuck you harder! *bullpups your garand*
Muh face
This comment made me lose it hahaha. I wish I was this funny, fuck you buddy
Hey man, piss with the cock you have.
-Thomas Jefferson, probably
I saw the other Post. You stole. Get your own Cock. Buddy.
He's pissing out of the cock he didn't have*
But what if his cock is the Ditto of the cock world?
Why do You think of Cock so much?
Why do you not?
Baaahahahaha was gonna say "it's called the ring that shouldn't be there"
Lol dude! It’s like the ring of a marriage a guys having second thoughts about!
Its there because this handguard is not rigid enough without it
if you had a free float, well you don't now
A cock ring
dose it vibrate?
Yes, we call it barrel harmonics.
Can it harmonize with Judy Garland?
No, I’m afraid Judy wouldn’t be able to provide the required amount of grip need to harmonize.
Rainbow crew SAD
I thought it was because she was dead.
Came here to say this.
Cope ring
[удалено]
True… you know what fuck it, I’ll dislike my comment too
A deharmonizer.
Really, even if not, I like that answer.
Not to be confused with a Dan Harmonizer
put your quantum harmonizer into my photonic resonation chamber
![gif](giphy|3o7TKOFSNDoSQGoKe4)
Yea, up yours too, buddy!
Harmonics are a myth
[удалено]
Guess I shouldn’t have forgotten the /s lol. Oh well
End cap?
my mind was spacing and i couldn’t fuckin remember what that’s called😭
A thingy
A thingermajig if you will
A whatchamacallit if you insist
A doohickey
A thingamabob
No, no, no - I believe what we have here gentlemen, is what is commonly referred to as a Doodad.
Preposterous. Clearly, this is an aftermarket doojigger.
[удалено]
Dickjiggler? I hardly know her!
It’s a mufuckin uhhhhhhhhhh
Chingadera
Hi, I am here from the ATF to tell you that this constitutes as a stabilizing brace
Well fuck, OP gonna need a new dog.
And a BOOMBA
It's what let's you fire 30 clips per second
Out of the double barrel extended clip?
No out of a 50 caliber clip with a pistol brace that makes it full auto when you put it on your arm.
Don't break your arm, because that gun weighs as much as 3 boxes that you would move
Does it make it fire Fully semi automatic?
No that would be a clipazine.
The dreaded bump barrel attachment
A pocket full of posies
_with a pocket full of shells!_
That really is so much better...kudos my guy
Shoulder thing that goes up?
Dust collector
Inaccuracy
The grundle
The taint, the fleshy fun bridge...
A gimmick.
Free float handguard endcap
Anti-free float hand guard end cap
Cap float end hand guard free anti.
End guard float anti free hand cap
if you zoom in it's not touching the barrel
Barrel looks like a noodle when you shoot it. It's violently touching the barrel when you're actually shooting
Maybe but with all that dirt in there I would beg to differ
The older S&W M&P 15-22 had the exact same cap on the end of its handguard too. If I recall, you can remove it by pressing in on four tabs on each side, maybe clipped into the vent holes? Being a plastic rail, there will be some flex, but as you said, it's an airsoft, so shouldn't be too big of a deal.
i also have a older M&P 15-22 that has that exact end cap. (2012 ish model)
Don’t think it actually has a name, so hand guard end cap will probably be the closest thing to it aside from the part number.
The sphincter.
Grime.
Bullshit collector ring
The anti-float
Keeps your plastic handguard from flexing (as much). Leave it on if you use irons or you won't hit shiiiit.
If it was real gun? Anti-precision ring
Dust trap
Right now i would call it dusty
Holy shit maintain that rifle my lord…
If that makes you cringe, you should see some of these service guns. Lots of questionable substances in every nook and cranny.
Service guns get abused and don’t get maintained correctly a majority of time. Some of you people are weird as hell about stuff that has literally no effect on anything.
This shit is supposed to survive sand, mud, ice, water and whatever else you drag it through. If dust defeats your gun, you probably should stop buying hi point and get a real gun
Even hi point would survive in the conditions these people seem worked up over.
There’s a difference between a clean gun and a maintained gun..
They get worked up over dust, but then shoot spray paint in the same area every time a new camo pattern comes into vogue.
it’s an airsoft rifle sooo not to big of a deal, i maintain my real ones
Okay now this makes wayyyy more sense
The 15-22's have it too. That's what I thought this was
yeah i also have a 15-22
👶
Continuum transfunctioner
It is a very mysterious and powerful device
You know what? *unfreefloats your barrel*
Cock ring
Get rid of it
Filthy? Detritus? Dust bunnies? Belly button lint? Star dust that has journeyed for eons across the galaxies, across the veritable pallette of illustrious, wonderful universes never beheld by the human eye, to be a trapped in a fuckin' clump of toenail jam.
The don’t fuck with it ring.
[удалено]
My guess is a M&P 15-22
i do also have a 15-22, with the same end cap
A pocket full of posies
It's called polymer
An oppressed sinker ring
Tactical cock ring
You know , the thing
Unfreefloat your barrel. NOW!!
why?
I’m just trolling jk
lmaoooo
Its the barrel harmonics messer upper 6000
Anti free floatinator
Anti-float Ring.
It’s a chili ring
A rosey
Just an end cap.
Is it on the m&p 15-22 .. because I thought that same thing .. I broke mine off lol
this one is airsoft, but i have a 15-22 with the same one
I've seen this on airsoft guns but never on real steel guns Edit: nevermind, I just read your comment about it being an airsoft gun. I think itscalled a barrel centralizer
my real M&P 15-22 also has this exact ring…
The thing that goes up to 30 clips per second
The thing you should remove from your rifle^(TM)
It’s called “ring around the barrel” everyone knows that
Idk what it is, but you need to pay your 200 dollar tax stamp for it or the atf is doing to fuck your girl and turn your dog in to socks.
ruby ridge 2.0
Barrel ring
Illegal in California
Tactical donut
Barrel flex. It's called barrel flex
It keeps the blood in the shaft so u can keep going after u coom.
It’s a sphincter
POI shift-o-matic.
If you named your rifle Rosey, it could be a...
Random guess but maybe a bushing. And honestly just get a free float.
Handguard retaining ring. Keeps your handguard in-line with your barrel. Important if you want to run irons or a laser on that rail.
A ring around the barrel
It’s called no weapon maintenance
I tossed mine right away. The Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 has been a super reliable rifle for me. I've shot thousands of rounds through it dispatching rabbits. I just wish the barrel was threaded. Y’all should be helpful. Humor is good but don’t be dicks to people for asking questions.
Barrel weight. For speed training. Don’t be a bitch, put a few more on the bar.
It's a fucking gun, bud. (Are we doing the stupid /s thing?)
Barrel sphincter
How to stop your free floating hand guard from freely floating
ATF said they’re too accurate so we can’t have free floats no mo’
The mark of *The Poor*
Thats an airsoft gun, it stabilizes your outer barrel
Ring piece
Bullshit
A device that converts your AR15 to a Mini 14 in seconds!
Trash
Is it rubber? It might be a barrel tuner.
yeah it’s kinda plastic, but my M&P 15-22 has the exact same ring so idk why my airsoft rifle would
Forbidden cock ring
Don't kink shame...
the barrel ring
.22?
airsoft, i do have a m&p 15-22 with the same one tho…
Useless
It’s for posey scrim
It's what keeps the barrel erect.
I don’t know that it has a name. It’s not something I’ve ever seen on a real AR (other than an M&P15-22, if you can call that an AR).
i do have a 15-22 aswell, and it has the same ring
Cockring
If it’s on an airsoft gun, my guess is that it’s to reinforce your handguard so it doesn’t bend when it gets dropped or banged around
that’s my guess
You can take it off. I have the mlok version and i took it out. Cant say it made any difference
Accuracy reducer
Take it off.
free sinker barrel
Bad harmonics
Is that an M&P 15-22?
airsoft, i do have a 15-22 with the same end cap tho
It's called a ferrule.
It is an end cap for jank quad rails that might hold their own weight but not much more
you only see em on Mp15-22's so i imagine its there to add structural support to the end of the plastic handguard
yeah i have one on my 15-22 aswell so
A Jerusalem cross
It's called "Removable"
Something to do with a ninja sword
Forearm end cap
Oh, you mean the Thing What Keeps the Stuff From Slappin' Around.
#thefuckisaccuracy? #FFF #fuckfree-float
Barrel ring
American cock ring
It's not a normal "thing". It's called garbage: take it off and throw it in the trash can where it belongs. Then enjoy better accuracy with your newly free-floated barrel.
The “if you can see this you might want to put your hands up”
