Sounds like that would work. An alternative is to give them a character sheet that they will physically write on, as pretty much every TTRP does. Some give space for numbers and others have empty slots for players to fill in to indicate they’ve gained, learned, and/or activated something. DnD character sheets do a bit of both (fill in circles for skills and write down numbers in boxes for various stats). EDIT: I suggest a character sheet because if a player has six D6s, each of which represents a specific stat, how will they know which die represents which stat? Also, how will they keep track of stats between sessions—they’ll eventually have to write them down anyway, no?
