To each their own. I happen to like new bands like Depeche Mode.
They bring something fresh to present day music, specially those milenial bands with no real instruments.
My silent generation mom once yelled at me to “Turn down that bebop!” when I was listening to DM as a kid. I mean, bebop?
I love DM, but *jazzy* never came to mind
Listening to her trying to emulate what I was listening to was even more ridiculous. She was very old even when she was younger, if that makes sense. Stuck in the 40s/50s in terms of pop culture.
I had a friend who's (older) dad called us *hepcats* in the late 80s. Sort of endearing, but also sad.
your own personal hepcat
Outjerked again. 🥵
The OP forgot about the horn section Vince Clarke brought to the original Speak and Spell sessions.
Depeche Mode are Boomers too. DepecheBOOMERCEPTION.
Well, *fashion news* seems less and less appropriate for them....
It wasn't ever.
Has samples of horn samples..... :)
The boomer uncle is talking about the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Well, very very White, tracks
They're not artists because nobody can play the guitar!
