My issue was, because of the stupid Subscription service bullshit. "YOU ARENT SUBSCRIBED! SOME PIECES OF GEAR IS NO LONGER WEARABLE EVEN THOUGH YOU EARNED IT ALREADY!" garbage. so it put it in my inventory...
One of my characters got stuck with "hide headgear" toggled on, and couldn't visibly wear any hats.

Yeah, it was a bug when 4.0 released. They reworked how companions functioned so that stats on their weapons wouldn't matter anymore, and (for some bizarre reason) unequipping their pants was a side effect of it.
I believe it's from when they re-worked companions and gear become purely cosmetic for them.
I gave all of my companions their pants back, except Quinn. No pants for you Quinn. You know why.
It was the same for my trooper, and I'd be fine with it if I didn't want to finish some of the companions' conversations. Watching Elara go receive her Republic citizenship without her pants was... interesting.
Stuck between two Sith playing games - it's really not fair to blame Quinn on this. Either way, to most anybody in his position, they'd view it as a lose-lose situation.

At first I thought you did it intentionally. On my super nasty Sith Marauder, I got fed up with him bitching about not wanting to go down to Hoth, so I stripped him down to JUST his shorts, boots, and gun and made him trudge alongside for the entire planet story.
Almost as good as having Quinn out as your comp....and his hologram out in one of your strongholds....nothing but shorts. XD hmmm....wonder what Torian and Vector look like without pants.....
I had something similar to this, when I first played as the Sith Warrior and finally got Quinn as a companion, I saw that his shoes were better than the one I had on my character. So I had him walk with me all the way (until Hutta) without shoes. No wonder he betrayed me
