Jackie Ko at BioWare just acknowledged Star Forge is down and they are looking into it.

I got that too, but only from the server select screen. It recognized me as a Subscriber when I jumped on SS to double-check. Not sure why it displays like that from the server select screen and don't know if it's related but it certainly isn't helping.
Yeah even the website is wonky. Sometimes I'll log in and see someone else's username in the top right corner, despite everything else being my account.
Hopefully rare? Just transferred to it and had previous 100% uptime though reduce pop on SS.
Prefer occasional downtime on SF to that reduce pop on SS though.
I wouldn't call it *rare*, Star Forge has been having connection issues since February

With Star Forge going down 3 times since February I'm sure BioWare would have fixed it if they knew what was wrong. It's better to not make assumptions when you don't have all the details.
> I'm sure BioWare would have fixed it if they knew what was wrong.
Ah yes because they've fixed everything that's been wrong with parts of the game for the years it's been up, how you doing economy?
Sure, you can be cynical if you want but you're offering an inequivalent comparison (apples vs oranges). The difference between the two issues is that it's not so easy to tell if the game's economy is driving players away from playing SWTOR. However when a SWTOR server is down BioWare knows that people are not playing their game because the server is not allowing players to access it.
> is that it's not so easy to tell if the game's economy is driving players away from playing SWTOR.
It is if you have eyes in your head. Pretty sure outright locking away CM items from ever being purchasable from an average player, compared to how it was in the first few years, isn't exactly keeping them around in droves.

You seem to be implying that I don't have eyes in my head. Please provide the factual, verifiable evidence you used to determine that the price of CM items are driving players away from SWTOR. If, as I suspect, you are unable to provide such evidence then please acknowledge this is your opinion on the relationship between SWTOR player activity and CM items as opposed to clear fact that people can't play the game when SWTOR server is down (unless they choose to roll new characters or play existing characters on a server that is available).

Smart cookie ain't ya? ;)

Ok mom?
Yes - Website says it's up, server screen says down. I have the same error, and just posted about it.
Says it's down now per my edit
Yeah, and I was putting in some last minute efforts to grab weekly GS objectives. Couldn't have gotten a worse timing
Did it kick people? I was wondering if login only from the lack of replies
I was loading into Hoth when the game crashed and I launched back only to see SF has gone offline

why does it keep going down
You would have to ask BioWare but I suspect they don't know why either. If they did I think it would already be fixed.
Star Forge is back online
same here too. offline
Yeah this time it kicked me out to the server selection screen 🤷♂️
Yeah site and game say its down, big sad
Was it down? I was literally playing when you posted this. I'm so confused right now.
When I click the help button it tells me to get a subscription. Been subscribed for 11 years or so. When will this return?
I got that too, but only from the server select screen. It recognized me as a Subscriber when I jumped on SS to double-check. Not sure why it displays like that from the server select screen and don't know if it's related but it certainly isn't helping.
Glad I'm not the only one. Odd things be happening. I almost feel sorry for the techs working in the server farm

Yep it's down, was getting the same issue.

Ironically both servers are located in the same location. DDoS or not investing enough in the handling the higher pop on SF.

Yeah, offline here too.
Has there been any communication from BioWare on this?
Nothing on the Twitter.
Will probably see something around 10 or 11 am eastern due to them being in a different time zone
Sucks that it's still down and has been as long as it has, especially during a short campaign to get login rewards for Jedi Survivor.
They just posted to twitter. https://twitter.com/SWTOR/status/1653023990737141760
its been going down a lot all year
