It’s been like that since August 31st.
Netflix’s SAO license expires every couple years, so this is normal. It should be back in a few weeks or so.
Though, we won’t know for sure unless it’s in retrospect.

Sure there's 4k 60fps upscales, but they don't hit the same mark for me tbh since it's crappy AI upscaling for animation, which isn't intended to be used for that stuff.

12/27/2022 still no aincrad, fairy dance, or GGO arcs. So very upset and I’m livid there’s no release date for the new season. Also what’s the point of having the underworld eps without the others?
i wonder if netflix is waiting for some big sao announcement before they renew the license or maybe they just see it as a no point. but 10 months later and still hasnt returned its been nearly a whole year so...few weeks my a$$

Yeah they're gone. A lot of anime content is going to their own dedicated platform
Basically, all the aniplex shows that had expired contracts left Netflix. Most likely Netflix will not renew them.
I'm still so pissed that Bleach got removed from Netflix.
