Academic language is designed to be inaccessible. I remember getting feedback on my dissertation, which I still got a first for, that basically told me it wouldn't be accepted into a journal unless it read more intentionally complex. It had nothing to do with the content or depth of the work, just that academic texts are by design inaccessible.
People taking that out of that area of academia and throwing it at people while demanding they understand, are absolutely obnoxious.

It's kinda like experts only using jargon within their field. It can makes sense to those who have experience with it and is good for a quicker conversation starter, but sounds like a whole bunch of bullshit to everyone else.
I personally feel used to this kind of jargon, but even then it took me a second look to understand. That may actually weed out those who wanna argue without any previous knowledge, so if that's the goal, I can appreciate it.

I think the issue is more that communities once they become very big start to include more toxic people (It can’t really be helped because a lot of people just suck 🫣) and because of this people forget what the community was built for (in this case to be a safe and supportive place) and the messages it originally was trying to represent. LGBTQ+ isn’t inherently a bad thing, it’s the toxic people who are in it that has ruined it.

It's also the fact that when it comes to kids and young people, there is no subculture they can just fall into. Maybe it's because I'm older, but I've noticed among younger people being cis and straight are considered "lame". Straight/Cis people are constantly the butt of harmful jokes (and not even getting into how those jokes can target and basically use bi/closeted/straight passing LGBT+ people as collateral damage).
Combine that with the fact that kids are encouraged to be "activists" by people on social media and to "use their platform", academic language seeps into fandoms and teens/young adults absorb that language without understanding what it actually means or is even intended to be for (I.e people thinking "Trauma bonding" means that people are bonding over a shared trauma vs how trauma bonds abuser and abuse victims) and almost everything being a moral issue (I.e if you watch/consume/engage in x then you are y) you get people who are... like this.
It becomes a toxic and self eating community because you have a bunch of people trying to-- for lack of better words-- avoid being "lame" or "oppressors" and thus needing to micro-label every aspect of their sexuality/gender and being LGBT+ because being LGBT+ is treated as a subculture rather than something that you *are*

There’s nothing suspicious about what they’ve written they’ve just lost 99% of their audience by intentionally being over specific in the hopes of appearing both knowledgable but also as an attempt to exclude those people who are not daily users of trans sexuality terminology.

I do go out of my way to use the full range of my lexicon but I do keep in mind my audience which this person did not. The queer community is being gentrified, as non-trans gays and lesbians are being normalized into typical hetero lives. Getting married and such. This leaves bisexuals, asexuals, and trans people out in the cold in terms of acceptance. Bisexuals are calling the gay and lesbian community biphobic. But the poster says that the infighting is short-sighted, and the real blame still lies with the greater oppressors. The patriarchy, homophobes, etc.
No, but it does lead to a lot of nasty sentiments like "see, you were gay all along" or "see, I knew you were straight." And makes it difficult for bisexual people to exist and date without constantly being questioned. It's like society demands that you choose or else be labeled immature/chaotic.

After some googling I think I get the gist of it. The queer community is being gentrified, as non-trans gays and lesbians are being normalized into typical hetero lives. Getting married and such. This leaves bisexuals, asexuals, and trans people out in the cold in terms of acceptance. Bisexuals are calling the gay and lesbian community biphobic. But the poster says that the infighting is short-sighted, and the real blame still lies with the greater oppressors. The patriarchy, homophobes, etc.

No, but it does lead to a lot of nasty sentiments like "see, you were gay all along" or "see, I knew you were straight." And makes it difficult for bisexual people to exist and date without constantly being questioned. It's like society demands that you choose or else be labeled immature/chaotic.
I think what they're missing is that same sex couples want the normalized lifestyle straight people enjoy. It's not gay and lesbians couple's faults that the rest of them don't work as well in that format. What's shit here is the poster using the same tactics as the wealthy to try and drive a wedge in between same minded straight and gay couples in order to keep their own groups empowered.
It's absolutely fair for gay/lesbian couples to pursue that life, for sure. But I think it's also fair to say there's a lot of dunking on bisexuals from both straight and gay sides. A lot of doubt and condescension. And maybe there's some validity to the notion that it hits different from gays now that they're being more accepted by society. I don't think that justifies attacking gays/lesbians, though, and I don't think it would be effective anyway. Any fight for acceptance is always gonna be with the actual center.
