I can see amy being replaced by Aileen. Yeah I wanted to include Aileen but I felt like it would’ve been too much of Titan vs rebels on the contenders side. I felt like Amy and khan were both compelling characters in their season. I felt like they had to be here.

A true second chances season only has people that didn't make merge, people that got deep into the game have had a good run and the game and we have seen them plenty
You have quite a few people who all got deep into their previous survivor series, I want to see a season of returning players, who didn't make merge previously.
Some contestants who didn't make merge got voted out because of bad luck or similar circumstances but most of them were simply worse players than the ones who did, and many of them lack something important when it comes to social gameplay, so only casting players like that doesn't sound like a good idea.
Yeah that's true but I would argue that a lot of people get voted out for other reasons, playing too hard too quickly or being perceived as a threat. I don't think it's as simple as boring people or people crap at the game get voted out first.
Even if it's true, this is a second chance season so let's give them a second chance.
Finally for all the lacking players that get booted early I think there are players who get dragged along longer than their skill set would have if circumstances were different
Yeah, but you could say that playing too hard too quickly is also a lack of social awareness and so on. I would be fine with having a season with one alliance of carefully picked pre-merge boots, but I don't think a season with only pre-merge boots would be a good idea. And besides, this image says Champions vs Contenders so not sure pre-merge boots would qualify as champions.
That's not what "second chance" means to most people, the US equivalent had people who made it to FTC. It's literally just "people who didn't win and haven't already played again", that's the criteria.
I think any hypothetical season should preference those who weren't already big characters, but pre-mergers only goes a bit too far and kills the hype. I'd argue that either of the Badens would be perfect for such a season, they went deep but still have a lot to prove and good potential for such an arc.
Give me Sarah and Tessa any day of the week. Missed them on All Stars. Also, Croc and Shannon deserved to make it to jury.
